The valet Muhammed was very friendly and helpful, the room was very large. Small lobby area. No other places to hang out other than the restaurant.

Clean, fair rates, good accommodations for 2 of the 3 rooms we booked. One of the accommodations (1 of 3 rooms) we booked and stayed in looked like a short stay room for a young promiscuous couple to stay in for a few short hours. It had a Murphy bed. I believe it was room 110. It was definitely on the 1st floor. Not what we expect for my employees to stay in when away on business.

Location was ideal, the big windows were nice, the bed was a little too squishy but it was clean, you have to use your room key to operate the elevator, the soap and shampoo smelled good - not too masculine or too femine Parking was not included and unfortunately our car was towed ($200 fine), there was an empty soda bottle on the floor and no coffee in our room when we checked in

I liked that it was close to many of the attractions that we wanted to visit during our stay in Washington. The room was not too big and not to small it was the perfect size for a couple and had a cute view of the residential area of the city. Great location. Lastly, the staff is very helpful and very friendly. They were there for our every need. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Bedding and pillows were very luxurious and design aesthetic gave the impression of luxury. Staff was consistently rude. Also, booked a king size suite for husband and I and upon check-in, received two double beds. They made no attempt to resolve the matter because the reservation was merely a 'request for king room'. With a husband well over 6 feet, this was an inconvenience. Furthermore, our requests to be roomed next to the couple we were traveling with were not honored despite calling ahead a week in advance.

Room and restaurant That breakfast was not included and that it was not possible to get a refund for my tax exemption card and that staff was not as friendly as I would have expected it.

Hotel was nice and clean. Somewhat close to smithsonian museum (although still a bit of walking). Good value considering the price. Slightly "noisy" (maybe because of thin walls?)

When checking in, did not receive a door key, nor a receipt. I really did not like the fact of being charged before even stepping foot into the room. I never received a receipt upon checking out either. I will be calling to get a copy of this mailed to me, even if I have to speak with a manager on this. What was taken out of my checking is not what I was told when checking in and charged then.

I like the proximity of the hotel to the Washington DC mall. I also enjoyed the price per night. The room was large and filled with modern furniture that was in good condition. The bathroom had enamel accents and the shower had a good water pressure. The hallways seemed dark even though there was plenty of light in them. The valet service seemed unorganized when getting to the hotel and checking in. There was no outside directing you on where to drive or letting you know what the current status of your wait was and what your next move would be.

This was our second time staying at the hotel and both times we found the bed to be extremely comfortable!!!! They make sure that the suites are stocked with all amenities. We loved it!!!! We stayed on the 5th floor and I guess we were near the cleaning supply closet because we kept hearing the same door slamming several times within an hour. Also when we turned the heat on we could smell cigarette smoke coming through the vents and I didn't like that at all. Also, we were charged for two phone calls that were made to a Chinese Restaurant that was down the street from the hotel and each call only lasted 2 to 3 mins.

The staff was great! Very friendly and accommodating, from the front desk/lobby staff to the maid service to the maintenance staff. Also, the complimentary champagne and glasses for the inauguration were very nice, as were the champagne and strawberries on inauguration day. Nice touch and very classy! I would definitely stay at the Beacon Hotel again, and I would recommend it to friends. Great job! It would be nice to have a continental breakfast, even if it's just coffee and muffins, bagels, etc.

Loved the decor of this cute boutique hotel. Lots of small details made this a very comfortable stay. And it was reasonably priced. There was a bottle of champagne and beautiful music playing when we first entered the room. Also, the staff was warm and friendly and was there to accommodate our every need. We'll be back! Parking is limited. The lot was full when we got there. We were told we would have to park down the street and around the corner. Fortunately, one of the staff members let us take his parking space in the garage.
