Location Staff Breakfast Ambience
Wifi very patchy
Staff And location And free breakfast
Rooftop Terrace was amazing The bar is small but comfortable and well staffed From the moment entering to the moment departing was a wonderful experience The breakfast was delicious and had no waiting time
Excellent room, superb roof-deck with a nice room of the bustling Charles Street. Brilliant location next to Boston Common/Public Garden and an easy walking distance to most of Boston
A minor point - a room safe would have been nice
Just a lovely hotel - beautiful furnishings, great location, lovely staff and a real identity. It's not cheap but I would love to stay here again. Good restaurant. Fantastic breakfast. On a street full of other dining options and in an area perfect for walking and exploring. It's on a busy street but isn't noisy. Brilliant outdoor area upstairs (noice rattan furniture) where guests can lounge, have drinks and surf on their i-pads/laptops
Not great wi-fi but that's minor - there is an office area where you can work if you find the wi-fi connection in your room isn't great.
Beacon Hill is in a superb location next to the Common on a street filled with little boutiques and restaurants. It has the feel of a small European family hotel, serves a great breakfast and offers a very good bistro and bar for the evening. We liked it so much that we promised ourselves to come back before long.
Wifi non-existent - the only way to connect is via the free Wifi at the cafe across the street. Rooms are quite small but still adequate and very light and clean.
loved the rooftop terrace, complimentary breakfast was incredible! Great location! Friendly and accommodating staff.
Very friendly staff. Great location in historic neighborhood within walking distance of many top sites in Boston.
The location was perfect, in the middle of it all. The rooms to me screamed quenticentional Boston from the decor to layout.
The neighborhood location cannot be beat. The restaurant with breakfast included was some of the best I've had. Our room was cozy but modern and clean with a very comfortable bed.
Nothing. I knew the room was very small from previous reviews and I knew there was not a traditional lobby, so if you are aware, you are not thrown off by that. The staff is extremely helpful with anything you may need. The room is city-small, this is a cozy boutique hotel. The room is just big enough. It didn't bother us one bit.
BHH was the perfect location for me. It was a bit of a nostalgia tour--I had gone to Suffolk U Law School and lived on Beacon Hill years ago. After dropping my son off at a nearby college for a summer program, I decided to stay in Boston for a few days and visit my old law school friends. Charles St. is so different now than when I attended school--with many cute shops and restaurants. The Beacon Hill Bistro was a lovely place to have breakfast each morning. I met a friend for dinner there as well one night and it was delicious. The hotel very close to the Boston Common/Public Garden, business district and Quincy Market/Faneuil Hall--you can get to anywhere you would like to go quite easily. Just the perfect location and a cozy room to top it off!
There was really nothing I didn't like about the hotel. The room was not huge, but cozy and nicely appointed. There is a little noise sometimes from the street when the nearby businesses and restaurants take out the trash, but I still slept like a baby. Great job, BHH!
Nice decor in the room, great great breakfast, great wait staff
a bit awkward getting to our room which was in the next building, but definitely not a determent from staying there again.
Breakfast was excellent!! Great location for antique shops and the common. It didn't feel like you were staying in the city.
Very small room for two adults and a baby. Bar area was very small.
Beautiful old brick building near Boston Common. Rooms clean, sympathetically decorated in muted colours.
Front desk staff took casual to a new level. Series of broken rollaway beds resulted in one of our party sleeping on the floor. No apology, nor registering of compounded lack of customer service.
too expensive wifi did not work great
Friendly staff, excellent breakfast, nice room and view.
Very noisy around 7-8am--construction work? TV channels patchy.
Beacon Hill is a very attractive part of Boston and is a good base for exploring the rest of the city. There are excellent restaurants and bars nearby. The staff in the hotel are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included in the room rate and is a real bonus. The hotel has a lot of charm.
My room was very small. So it was fine for one person but would have been a real squeeze with two.
The location was perfect. Loved your breakfast menu. Had Dinner very nice
When the Dining Room was busy we thought u were short staffed. Service could have been better at times. Other wise we really enjoyed our stay.
Concierge and location and free breakfast
Long time to get hot water and was not informed about Internet usage
There were not any stand outs among the staff only because everyone was OUTSTANDING! From the housekeeper to the front desk and restaurant staff, everyone was open, warm and friendly. Charming setting in the middle of an active/downtown Boston. I look forward to returning and will definately stay at the BHBH again!
The hotel location is very central in one of the historical area in Boston. Hotel design is very nice, kind of contemporaneous in an historical building. Overall very nice for holidays. Restaurant is great with excellent breakfast offering and very good menu for lunch and dinner.
Ma room was located on the 4th floor with lift And stair access. No direct lift access and noone helps with the luggage. Being an old building directly located on Charles Str meant that it was a bit noisy at night. Wifi was a bit slow. Most negative aspect is the fact that one has to run the shower water for 5min to get hot water. Not really eco-friendly.
the staff; the location; the rooms and the food.
lack of rear rooms. Very noisy street
I liked everything. I could feel efforts to make everyone comfortable and that is reassuring because it is inclusive.
My daughter and I went to Boston to look at a college. We were within walking distance to the college and many activities. The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate staying here again.
