I loved staying at the Beacon Inn. The room was spacious and homey. I loved the old fashioned decor. The location is great. The stop for the rail was a few feet from the inn and you can get all over the city with a week pass which cost $15. There are several restaurants and a little market across the street. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Will definitely go back if I'm in Boston again. The bathroom and shower were a little cramped. And the temperature was hard to control.

Charming old row house converted to inn, conveniently close to the hospitals, free wi-fi, very comfortable bed and t stop right outside. Not enough working outlets, but I did find an extention cord in a drawer. Tired bathroom but everything worked.

Charming, renovated old world townhouse in lovely, safe neighborhood. Reasonable price for a huge, clean, comfortable room with 2 king beds, wireless internet, flat screen tv & fridge. Older atomosphere might not be for everybody, but it had much more character than fancy chain hotels @ fraction of the price! Ample continental breakfast (bagels, muffins, pastries, cereal, milk, O.J., coffee). Fresh coffee available 24/7. Friendly, helpful, accomodating (mostly student) staff. Very close to subway making downtown Boston easily accessible. Loved it and would stay again! Since this is an old renovated home, you tend to hear slightly more than you would in other hotels. Staff and the other guests were very quiet & polite during our stay but with hardwood floors and thinner walls than are sometimes found in other hotels, noise carries. For us this was not a major problem, but for some people it might be an issue.

I loved the beds there were the most so great to sleep in after seeing a Red Sox game. The staff was great there also they were freindly and you could ask them anything and they would tell you the answer, and not think twice about it.

comfort bed. The room was tiny and a weird smell, no control remote on tv, no elevator and the breakfast was poor.

Nice and accommodating staff. Room was very small with bathroom across the corridor. This was not made clear to me when I made the reservation. For exactly the same rate, my friend had a very large room with en suite bathroom.

It is conveniently located with good clean facilities for the price. There was a bat in my room the second night. This isn't only an inconvenience. Bats carry rabies. They need to deal with that.

Free included breakfast Reception or host is only available 8am - 9pm. Breakfast starts late at 8:30am so we missed breakfast for two days because we have to leave hotel early for work.
