I arrived after midnight and left by 6:30 AM. Therefore I never met any staff. However the location was good and the facility was clean. It was a good value for the money.
This was a nice and charming Brookstone in a nice safe neighborhood. Really enjoyed this area lots around and it was great 10 min walk to fenway park. Only complaint was the sound of the T outside of our window, if it bothers you that much bring a sound machine
The staff was super nice and so helpful
The train, the noise
The room smell bad an bathroom was a joke
The staff was very nice and the room (#3) was very clean and homey.
It seemed as though the shower had only one temperature setting; scalding hot.
beautiful room and great service helpfull and nice persons the location
No international callls possible No small fridge no elevator for the suitcases no bread for breakfast
I appreciated the help the staff gave us about public transport and places to eat. I loved the old fashioned atmosphere and the beautiful claw foot bath.
There was nothing I could say that was negative. We had a very positive experience.
Spacious room and comfortable bed. Proximity to the Hawes St T-line station. Friendly and helpful staff.
I left early in the morning, at 6 am, a coffee to go would have been nice
I loved the details and the house, it made me feel like I was staying somewhere special.
The house was very loud at night. All through the night I could hear everything that happened in the hallway and every footstep above me.
The Beacon inn's location was great. Within walking distance to Fenway park, the duck boat tours, Boston Common and many other tourist attractions. Safe and clean neighborhood. A little dated but clean and comfortable.
Room is huge. Staff was very nice and helpful. Has a small fridge in the room
Wifi signal not very strong
Location was great
Not having disclosed that we were sleeping in an emergency exit. Anyone at any time could lean on the door and access the room. In case of emergency people would walk through room to exit the building. Also there was absolutely no place to sit and no table surface anywhere to eat on. There were 3 queen size beds in the room and an armoire pushed up against a door. The rug and curtains were from Walmart and didn't coordinate at all and the staff when we checked out clearly didn't want to hear or further report concerns . This should have been prior disclosed and rate on room reduced substantially. Bad show on part of a beautiful brownstone
Clean, friendly staff I was fortunate to be on 2nd floor, could not have managed 1 or 2 more flights of stairs.
The room was too crowded with 3 beds, each made up for 2 people, though 1 a 3/4 bed. The step up to bathroom was too steep. There was space for an intermedidate step. Parking is not convenient, but staff took care of my car for me. TV didn't work. No glass in room, not even paper cup.
Location, friendly service, quaint building, comfy rooms. Walking distance to Fenway Park and Coolidge Corner.
Only complaint is it's loud. Stairs creak, "T" runs until 1am right in front of building, you can hear everyone coming and going. Expect interrupted sleep.
The place it's nice.
Parking no include in the price and i am come back in the evening it not security for women.
The staff who guided me to the parking lot was very kind and refreshed our hearts.
Parking was not free and the space was difficult to find. Bathroom was not in the room. Very old facilities.
Very comfortable, spacious room within easy walking distance of Fenway Park
The staff was helpful and friendly. The location for my needs was very good. The room was small but comfortable.
I was in a front room facing Beacon Street and the T started at 6:30 AM and woke me up. For late sleepers get a rear room. Not a huge deal but the TV is in a cabinet and the door to the cabinet needs to be propped open in order not to close on the TV. The first morning I woke up there was no hot water though that was just bad luck and got fixed pretty promptly.
Good location. Staff were great -- helpful and very nice. Room architecture is beautiful.
Room was sparsely furnished. Not inviting to sit and relax at end of day. Could not make TV work. No paper cups or plastic glasses in room so difficult to take pills. Continental breakfast very disappointing. Stale bagels, grocery store muffins, no fresh fruit.
Very convenient location, comfortable, large room
Nowhere to sit down for breakfast
T stop across street. Great location and price for a stay in Boston. Quaint, comfy stay. Friendly, helpful staff.
1. perfect location 2. some staff very nice
1. loud noise from neighboring room; wall poorly sound-proof 2. loud noise from the road in front of the building; window not sound-proof at all 3. disgusting smell in the room; probably from last guest 4. bathroom and toilet detached from the room, separated by a public hall 5. some staff not so nice
The location was great, quick train ride to city center, plenty of thing with in walking distance.
Bed was sway-back, minimal effort put into the "breakfast", cold cereal, cold pastries, cold everything ….. Morning manager couldn't be bothered to be interested if anything was depleted.
Cozy and comfortable rooms
Wifi signal wasn't very good
