Nothing bad to say about this hotel.
Excellent location, very clean and comfortable, very helpful staff and the kitchenette was a great feature especially with a huge supermarket across the street
staff friendly, well located
Location to 72nd street train station and supermarket across the road. Staff were friendly. On-site laundry room.
Quiet location but with plenty of eateries and other necessities, close to subway station, clean, having the kitchenette was great for breakfast, cups of tea, etc.
Not much. It was a shame there was scaffolding out the front, but that was everywhere in New York. It didn't really impact on our visit though.
Love the amount of space, the view and the layout of our room - 2204 (was much better than our last stay). Location really works for us. Doorman was great - always friendly and helpful getting cabs.
Bathroom - for 2 people, needs more and better hooks for towels, robes. Heating/AC - was either too hot or too cold - had to get up 2+ times per night to adjust.
The locality. A 10 minute walk to Central park on one side & a similar distance to Riverside Drive on the opposite side with a lovely walk along the Hudson river. A 3 minute walk to the subway.
I love being close to Subway and across the road from supermarket that is open until 1:00 am. Barnes and Noble were only a few blocks away and open until 10:00 pm every night!
Unable to get a late checkout and the manner in which this was conveyed!
The hosts, Cathy & Dennis, could not have been more friendly or helpful. The breakfasts were "A" grade and plentiful. The breakfast discussions with the other guests was a great way to start our day, but the conversation in the lounge room at the end of the day was the best part of this B&B experience. If you are like me & have not tried a B&B.....Do it, I,m sold on it. Not sure when, but we will be returning.
Our room was a bit small, but this was our fault.
It is extremely well-located near Central Park, shops, restaurants, easy to get downtown or up, near subway
Could use a little up-dating, bathrooms small.
The hotel is close to the subway and is within walking distance of Central Park and the theater district and there is a great food market directly over the road. Next door to the hotel is a Cafe / Restaurant which served very good food and we used it most of the time.
There was nothing we disliked about the hotel.
the kitchenette and accommodations such as collecting dishes in the sink.
Lobby could be neater in appearance.
All the people receiving and delivering our baggage's was very helpful as well as the people cleaning and assinting us in our room. The room was nice, quiet and with excellent channels of music...etc.
The people at the front desk were overloaded - therefore - not very helpful
Nice location in upper west side in a calm and silent neighborhood, you listen no noise at all during the night. And you are still 3 minutes walking from metro station 72 (72 St). This station has even a metro express line (train 2) from 42 St (Times Square) non stop. You are also 5 minutes walking from Central Park by Strawberry Fields area. There is a nice supermarket right in front (Fairway) and a 24 hour drugstore (Duane Reade by Walgreens) less than half a block away. Nice room, wonderful bed. . Actually it was a very a spacious room, good enough for 4 people. everything was pretty clean. There is a very well equipped small kitchen. Elevators serving very well, no wasting time to wait and very fast. Internet wireless is good and free of charge. Important that they do not charge for receiving packages for you, as they deliver everything your room at no cost. Definitely, a good option for staying in NYC.
Only concern could be the bathroom, just because it is small.
Perfect location for Central Manhattan visiting. Not cheap but affordable for the comfort and spacious rooms with kitchnette. Three star but might be rated 4 as well. Very convenient, quiet and safe area. 3 minutes walk distance of metro, very good food shop opposite street. Staff very friendly and helpfull.
Nothing. Hotel and staff was more than we expected :)
My friend and I had a suite, which allowed us to each have a separate room, and our own tv, since I like to check weather and a show before sleep, and she doesn't really watch TV. It was very comfortable and a great area.
The view from our window was not a street view, but perhaps that was a way to have no traffic noise- so really, it's not a complaint, and we liked that there was no traffic noise.
Close to restraunts, market and Central Park. Easy subway to everywhere. Service from staff was excellent Would definately stay again. Liked the fact that the bathroom had an opening window.
Room was to close to the lift, could here the noise.
location is wonderful , two streets from subway , the room has kitchen which is very handy, very clean , great wi fi ,
room with2 double beds not so big , good for 2 people no breakfast
We were given an upgrade which was a nice surprise
Location supurb with supermarket across the road with absolutely everything and amazing hours. Appreciated the area being much quieter than in the center of NY. Subway so close also and close to Central Park. Kitchenette fantastic. Laundry also great.
Good sized room Quiet location Comfortable bed Good WiFi
Kitchen a bit limited and not really set up to eat a meal in the room
Great restaurants to chose from close by and a really good market for fresh fruit and veg (not always easily sourced in New York) right across the road. Very close to 72nd St Subway. Staff were helpful and friendly. Beds very comfortable rooms very clean and serviced very well each day.
For the money we paid I don't think there were any negatives
Location on the upper west side was great, nice area close to Central Park and the subway to midtown and downtown was only a short walk away. We had a deluxe suite and the rooms were spacious, clean and with all the amenities we needed. Laundry faculties were good. The staff were very helpful and always friendly and the housekeeping was good and kept the place nice and clean. Made our first stay in NY very comfortable and would stay there again without hesitation.
The kitchenette could have been a little larger but still served us very well and allowed us to have breakfast, some lunches and a couple of dinners at home.. So only a small negative as having it was a real positive.
We loved the location of this hotel. It was so close to subway and bus transport, fresh food options and restaurants, shops away from the centre of Manhattan, museums, and Central Park. The hotel is lovely and our 1 bed Queen Suite was excellent for our longer term stay. We were very comfortable here. Facilities were very good and all easily accessible. We would definitely recommend a stay at this hotel.
