I loved the neigbourhood, the cafés, and the recommended restaurants in the neighbourhod are good
I thought the room was a bit small, considering the price
Nice hotel, fab location, nice rooms with small kitchenette. Subways, neighborhood and city / Central Park access great.
1) Location - 2 blocks from Central Park and the Museum of Natural History 2) very clean and comfortable 3) staff was friendly and helpful 4) great value in NYC!
Liked that there was laundry room. Great markets close by and subway close.Quiet eventhough right on Broadway. Roomy for NY standards.
No real freezer for ice cream .Very little counter space. Also not a lot of space in the bathroom for stuff. Kitchen cookware choices could use improvement.
Good view on to Broadway and bus-stop. Love the location, just great.
Sofa pretty uncomfortable, and I felt the same way on an earlier stay.
I love the location on the upper west side. Subway is very close. Supermarket right in front, and several restaurants in walking distance. Free wifi and pretty stocked kitchenette. Feels like home away from home.
The sofa bed is somewhat uncomfortable, the mattress was very worn.
The size of the suites is amazing for New York -- a great plus. Also, there are slews of interesting and varied restaurants within easy walking distance, a mega-supermarket across the street, and a fine wine store next door.
Not quite the sparkling facility I enjoyed in 2011 (and almost double the $200 a night for a suite back then). I guess it doesn't take long for NYC properties to look worn. On arrival, the hotel didn't have our Booking.com reservation, then argued over the rate; not resolved until two days later, decidedly dampening our enthusiasm.
We loved the room and the service! Everyone was very friendly and the room was large and quiet. We will stay here again!
Location everything you needed ie shops, subway, taxis close enough to city but without the commotion. Highly recommend if we come back this would be the place we chose again.
The Hotel Beacon is a classic. Polished brass and dark wood in the lobby and beautifully decorated rooms with a clean, welcome home feeling. Everyone is helpful and so pleasant. This was our second visit and I just wish it wasn't so short a stay. We went to a show at the Beacon Theatre and stayed over at the Hotel Beacon right next door - could not be more convenient!
It's a little pricey but worth every penny.
Location Room size Good service
The staff is right out of central casting. Fabulous! More than helpful. Love the rooms which are roomy and light!! Light? Kitchen is great; perfect for the traveler who has to be in their room a bit.
I love the location. Personnel was nice. Room was comfortable
The light at the bathroom's door. Every time my roommate had to use the bathroom the light woke me up. I understand it's there to avoid tripping on the step but still that annoyed me
Accessibility to Opera, Broadway at Lincoln Center, shopping and great restaurants. I loved being able to walk everywhere, yet come back to a personal environment of serenity. It's her challenging to find properties who still take pride in the cleaniness of guest rms

staff is very friendly and helpful in every way. rooms are very comfortable with a small kitchenette. Having a small refrigerator is a real bonus. Location is excellent, within walking distance of Lincoln Center.
I've stayed at the Beacon twice in the last two years. The first time, we had a suite...the air-conditioning never worked properly, despite seven or eight attempts over the course of the three days we were there. This time, it didn't work at all when I arrived...it took two people to fix it, but it was accomplished properly in an hour or so...not exactly the way you want to spend your first hour in a hotel, but...
Every year we go to New YORK and stay there because everything works very well
Everything is good .
All Hotel Beacon staff were cordial and very accommodating. Recently renovation, the hotel is clean, beautiful and quiet, includes fitness center and bar, and is close to subway, restaurants / stores. For our purposes, the hotel is walking distance to Lincoln Center.
There was nothing "not to like" about Hotel Beacon. We will be back
Proximity to the Beacon Theater could not have been better..with the Beacon Bar in between..what more could you ask for. The Fairway Market across the street was excellent!
The lighting system in the room did not work well. You had to insert your room card into a slot and leave it while you were in the room. Some of the lights would come on and the TV was always a problem to turn on. There were time when the lights would just turn off or turn on...very strange.
Our room showed attention to every detail. It was clean, freshly painted, in excellent repair. The location can't be beat with restaurants everywhere and the Fairway across the street. I would not stay anywhere else.
Fantastic fully stocked kitchen and separate living area makes for a comfy stay with young kids. Proximity to Central Park was great. Loved the guest laundry facility. Excellent market across the street. Used the babysitting service the hotel suggested and had a wonderful night out.
Spacious rooms and having a kitchenette was a real plus. WiFi good and computer/printer down in lobby area is a definite plus!
Bathroom small and dated! Basin tap continually leaked. Some distance from main attractions. Lobby area small with little or no facilities
Separate living room and bedroom (hallway in between) made it easy to travel with a toddler.
Thermostat in bedroom wasn't working properly.
Hotel is convenient for concertgoers next door. Nice restaurants and other spots nearby. Convenient to train/subway.
Coffee maker in room didn't work despite several attempts. Hotel Bar is VERY overpriced, even at "happy hour".
