- (location) right next to Beacon theater, on Broadway - staff was pretty nice - bed was very comfortable (king) - bathroom was small but had great quality fixtures/amenities
- no parking attached/associated with hotel, 1/2 block away $55/day, cheaper parking a few blocks away - very expensive! especially in light of the construction
My husband got food poisoning so I requested for a late checkout around 4/5 pm. They immediately said no problem. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Mildew in the bathroom
Very good location: nice shops/ cafes/ restaurants around. Rooms are very nice: I had one with an amazing view and the decoration is very cozy. Good size for New York.
Great location for access to Met and museums. The fully stocked kitchen was a real advantage. The room , on the 11th floor, was large and quiet.
The internet service was poor and not consistent. The linens and towels were somewhat old and should be replaced.
The hotel was comfortable, very clean and the staff was great. No food available on premises, but the little bistro next door was quite good. Prices were reasonable, and quality quite good. Highly recommend it.
It was a little further out than I had expected. Great location for the Lincoln Center, which was the reason for our visit...but far from the other areas we wanted to visit. It was nice that trains were nearby. The price of the room was a little steep, and by the time taxes and fees were added it was a bit of a shock.
Location, staff and facilities were excellent, will stay again.
The UWS location is excellent. Hotel is two blocks from the subway, near Central Park, Hudson River, Lincoln Center, Trader Joe's, etc. Having a suite with a kitchen is super handy.
Only issue was that the rate booked on bookings.com was not offered when I arrived. It was quickly addressed when I showed the booking.com confirmation.
Quiet building, great location, responsive staff any hour of the day, clean and spacious rooms, small kitchen very useful, grocery store/deli across street, very friendly and attentive staff.
We had a little trouble regulating one of the thermostats, but the maintenance staff responded very quickly. No other problems.
I loved how close it was to great restaurants and wine and yummy French patisserie. Even a trader joes was close! And the 72 subway connection
That they have a shuttle to the airport and you had to reserve 24 hours before and didn't mention it. I even emailed before we got there asking if they had one. They said no... Not from Kennedy. They didn't mention they did going back to the airport!!
Very warm welcome and help from staff at all times. Great location for Lincoln Centre, Central Park and subway to Downtown. We always walked to Mid Town. Great local shops for food and a variety of diners and restaurants. Room was very cosy and our own small kitchen very useful as we often just wanted a light meal or snack in our room.
Location Door men and staff views price
Small bath rooms
Our group of 4 stayed in a one bedroom suite. We loved having the fully equipped kitchenette and the market across the street was so convenient. We were on the 18th floor and heard NO street noise. Loved the place, loved the neighborhood. We will definitely stay there again if we return to NYC.
There was nothing we didn't like.
TV initially did not work ( needed new cable) and both computer printers not working.
Fantastic location, wonderful staff, beds were so comfortable. We'd love to come back!
room, service, kitchenette
walls a tad thin and noise passes
Decent location, great access and amenities.
A bit run down for the money we paid. Clean but.... I know NY is expensive, but, expected a little more for that money.
The staff that was warm and responsive. Made me feel very welcomed and assisted. The room was beautiful and super comfortable. I was staying there by myself and my two very young kids. The microwave was convinient for heating the bottle for my baby, and the small kittchen was good for preparing eggs , toast , hot drinks. Coffee machine was excellent. The cleaning services were stunning. Especially with the new mess we have created every day. Having a laundry room on the 5th floor was great. Being so close to The Children Museum . Having a huge high quailt foods store (and cafe) across the street - Fairway. Having many wonderful restursnts nearby. I was super comfortable staying at the Beacon hotel.
Very comfortable, great location. Lots of closets and drawers (we had the King bed suite). I must say, the lighting was excellent. Most hotel rooms are more on the dark side, not this one. Subway station a block away.
The bathroom needs a hand towel rack next to the sink. It was a small bathroom but very clean and had enough towels.
Booked a room close to arrival during a busy period. Fast friendly and efficient experience.
The location is eminent!
Cockroaches at a 390 a night hotel? With a no discount policy? Not good enough! I'm not impressed - nor should you be.
We won't pick anywhere else now in NYC ,stayed once at the plaza but beacon is much more friendly. This was our 12th time at this property ,love everything about it ,location ,room and staff
We enjoyed the location, the size of the rooms, the facilities, the doorman getting taxis, and the eateries around the hotel not forgetting the great food market opposite. the piano player in the bar, the laundry and the gym......fantastic
The barman needs to learn how to do a Gin Martini......LOL!!!
I loved the neigbourhood, the cafés, and the recommended restaurants in the neighbourhod are good
I thought the room was a bit small, considering the price
Nice hotel, fab location, nice rooms with small kitchenette. Subways, neighborhood and city / Central Park access great.
1) Location - 2 blocks from Central Park and the Museum of Natural History 2) very clean and comfortable 3) staff was friendly and helpful 4) great value in NYC!
