Breakfast was excellent; staff was very helpful
Room was somewhat cramped.
Friendly owners and staff. The other guests I met during breakfast were great conversationalists and fun. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
The management was extremely accommodating. What is usually a rigid, very irritating process of booking and checking into a place for the night was made very leisurely. The room was very clean and had it's own temperature control (separate unit control for the bathroom and main room). Even off of peak season, the hot tub was on, clean and made ready for use. The location is just off of the main street of Provincetown and centrally located to give walking access to most of the sites, stores, and oceanfront.
Parking is limited. During peak season I could see this being a difficult area to gain access.
Pleasant house . Immaculate and well decorated. Lots of good coffee.
Ours was a budget double attic room with no space beyond the bed. Bathroom was separate . Poor value for money as we'd just come from Newport RI and a suite for less
The trash didn't get emptied in our room for a whole week.
Breakfast very good Room clean and tidy
Reluctant to give extra blankets No working fire places People not very friendly
The bed was' nt very comfortable.
The location could not be better. It is in the center of town but on a quiet street. The three balconies offer opportunities for sun bathing or having a coffee in the shade.
The room we were in was quite small. Ditto for the bathroom. The shower is exceptionally small. The maid service was substandard with the trash being emptied only once on the day before we left and the bathroom floor not being swept at all.
Location and cleanliness, room 'fridge, hot tub, roof deck
Breakfast was just a continental breakfast like any motel these days; Cost was overboard and even after paying over four hundred dollars for two nights plus a lofty 11% "room tax" we were solicited for a "tip" even though we didn't ask for our room to be serviced after the first night. Not enough parking for all guests either...and being asked to leave car keys on an unsupervised desk at night is definitely not cool!!
There was no protein at breakfast. Like boiled eggs, lunch meat or cheese
Nice location, that's it!
Nasty owner, makes you feel as if you are in the way! stands over you while you eat breakfast, doing dishes! His goal is to see how many people he can make miserable every day!!!
atmosphere wonderful view from the terrace nice breakfast best location clean rooms great furniture
The location is great. One of the owners is kind.
One of the owners was miserable to be around--angry, ungracious, unaware, unwelcoming.
Warm and friendly welcome Nice room Very clean Quiet located and short walking distance
The Beaconlight is literally steps away from Commercial Street, and very close to the infamous Tea Dance. Our suite was magnificent, and much more comfortable than I had even hoped for. Staff and owner were cordial, and left us to enjoy our stay without being overbearing.
I would really have to search for something I wasn't happy with, but if pushed I would say parking is a bit of a nightmare, but the owners seem to do what they could to make it work to the best of their capabilities. You get what you pay for, but you definitely pay, and Provincetown was anything but cheap when you leave your room, so plan accordingly.
Facility was clean and accommodations were placed well. Breakfast was a nice variety.
Owner was very intense around guests. The staff was more open and friendly then the owner was. The experience could have been better.
Keith was too uppity for comfort. Walked on eggshells in hopes he wouldn't complain about anything. WiFi was on and off throughout entire stay. Doors started slamming around 7:30-8 in the morning rt guests coming and going, along cleaning staff. Dont plan on sleeping in!
Location, location, location
Rooms a bit tight
Especially appreciated the like new mattress in the large first floor room. Great location w/parking.
Lovely decor Well located
Close to everything, center of town.
Operator/Manager wasn't very affable.Room we had was small for the money but appear relatively clean.
It was close to alot of things but far enough at that if you wanted to relax in your room you couldn't' hear any of the noise etc from the main street. Easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. No need to use your car once you park it.
I liked the location. How clean the house was and how friendly the one host who showed us our room was.
We felt very unwelcome by one of the hosts. We felt that we were imposing on his space. I would never go back because of this. My mother runs a b&b on Martha's Vineyard I grew up in the buissness. I understand what tourist fatigue is but we had just completed a 190 mile bike ride and raised $13,000 for cancer research. A smile would have gone a long way. I also informed the hosts we would be leaving early the next morning. No effort was made to give us even just a coffee to go.
Clean, comfortable, charming, convenient to all locations
Parking tight. Rooms on the small size
Beautifully landscaped, very clean and well maintained guest house. Breakfasts were good. Convenient location. Great balcony and rooftop with plenty of seating area.
Owners not particularly friendly or welcoming. Breakfast was good but needed a protein, such as a hard boiled egg. Room was extremely small. I can't say whether or not all rooms in the house are small, but mine was. Have paid similar pricing for other guest houses on previous visits to P'town that offered much larger rooms.
