atmosphere wonderful view from the terrace nice breakfast best location clean rooms great furniture
Keith was too uppity for comfort. Walked on eggshells in hopes he wouldn't complain about anything. WiFi was on and off throughout entire stay. Doors started slamming around 7:30-8 in the morning rt guests coming and going, along cleaning staff. Dont plan on sleeping in!
Location, location, location
Rooms a bit tight
Especially appreciated the like new mattress in the large first floor room. Great location w/parking.
Lovely decor Well located
Close to everything, center of town.
Operator/Manager wasn't very affable.Room we had was small for the money but appear relatively clean.
It was close to alot of things but far enough at that if you wanted to relax in your room you couldn't' hear any of the noise etc from the main street. Easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. No need to use your car once you park it.
I liked the location. How clean the house was and how friendly the one host who showed us our room was.
We felt very unwelcome by one of the hosts. We felt that we were imposing on his space. I would never go back because of this. My mother runs a b&b on Martha's Vineyard I grew up in the buissness. I understand what tourist fatigue is but we had just completed a 190 mile bike ride and raised $13,000 for cancer research. A smile would have gone a long way. I also informed the hosts we would be leaving early the next morning. No effort was made to give us even just a coffee to go.
Clean, comfortable, charming, convenient to all locations
Parking tight. Rooms on the small size
Beautifully landscaped, very clean and well maintained guest house. Breakfasts were good. Convenient location. Great balcony and rooftop with plenty of seating area.
Owners not particularly friendly or welcoming. Breakfast was good but needed a protein, such as a hard boiled egg. Room was extremely small. I can't say whether or not all rooms in the house are small, but mine was. Have paid similar pricing for other guest houses on previous visits to P'town that offered much larger rooms.
B&B was beautiful Staff were nice
Provincetown (P-Town) is not for families Town is more for adults and is VERY gay friendly/oriented (not a problem but just an FYI)
The Beaconlight is a beautiful place in a perfect location. It's a hop, skip & jump from Commercial Street, but far enough away that when you want to go to bed, you don't hear the hubbub on the main drag. It's really cute, has the comforts you hope for: in-room keurig machine, comfy bed, well-stocked bathroom, a hot tub and a couple beautiful decks. And Keith and Mark are affable guys. We'd definitely go again.
I wanted to get my car keys when we came in at night because my windows were down and it was starting to rain, but they were locked in the kitchen. I also wish it were pet friendly.
place was in great location, was very clean, staff was very nice, good roof top deck, rooms were very clean,,nice hot tub, felt like you had the place to yourself even though it was fully booked and was one of the only ones that was .
one room bathroom not connected to bedroom.
Location, facility, cleanliness.
The owners were cordial but far from hospitable. The total lack of welcoming by both Mark and Keith I found confusing as I am a career hotel manager and their biographies indicated that Keith was as well. All facets of the operation were top notch aside from the owners.
very friendly staff.they were also centrally located to everything in town.
Pricing was high for a place without a pool.
This was probably one of the nicest B&B's I've ever stayed in. Owners are meticulous and it shows in how well kept the entire place is. Every detail is taken care of down to the placement of everything in the Inn. If you sat on a couch in the common area and moved a pillow by the time you walked thru again the pillow was back in it's perfect spot. At the same time the owners were very friendly and made you feel at home and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place.
My only complaint would be that they only had dark roast coffee and it was too strong for my tastes. They have a Kuerig in the room so next time, I would bring my own.
Loved the roof deck, loved breakfast, appreciated that there were healthy options
Room and bathroom were a bit small for the price.
The location, common areas, breakfast, and rooms.
The parking was limited.
We got the last room available and it was quite cozy and lovely; nice touches. Cozy sitting room, though didn't do much sitting. So much to do in Provincetown and we didn't need a car. Loved the view from the top deck. Perfect breakfast; fresh pastries/ fruit/yogurt/cereal/etc. Quiet street but a walk away from the fun "music" of the town.
Very clean and great location.
Our room had a full size double bed and the bed was very short length wise. I'm 5'9" and my feet were pretty much hanging off the bed. It was bearable for two nights though.
Perfect location in Provincetown. Charming B & B.
The owner runs a tight ship and is very responsive to every request but comes off a bit brusque.
I did not get the room I reserved.
Room didn't match reservation description and no staff interest nor flexibility to solve that. The problem: room was about double the size of the bed, directly under the roof so you couldn't stand upright at half of the room. Nowhere in the room description (neither at the time of booking nor when checking afterwards) saying that the bathroom is shared with other rooms!! Breakfast was better than most other places, but no bread other than raisin buns, which didn't change over the course of the days and no reaction of staff when asking for other bread.
The location was great for seeing Provincetown - and we had a great time, in town and cycling and whale watching.
