Location was great and the owner Joe was a nice guy and a decent cook. We had some nice breakfasts. Very friendly and comfortable.
My TV was stuck on AMC so couldn't check out local news. But I wasn't there to watch TV.
The location was great, one half block from the beach. JoAnne, the proprietor was very friendly and likeable. Breakfasts were excellent.
Everything was lovely. The innkeeper was charming, welcoming, helpful--without being cloying. Would go back in a minute.
We thought the location was great, the beach down the road, the shopping and eating area all with in walking distance. Friendly owner, interesting old house.
Tea/coffee making facilities would be nice, especially on arrival. I would like a choice for breakfast, I don't like cheese so just had toast, fruit
Joe, the innkeeper, was very congenial, accommodating, & cooked a great breakfast!
Location was great. Food excellent and dinner recommendation were perfect. Room was very clean with private bath.
Shower could have been stronger
Joe's brilliant breakfasts. Location...half a block from the beach and central to everything else within walking distance. Joe's easy going personality...great guy who really cares about his guests.
Really nothing to take issue with at all....perhaps the three pounds I gained there over three nights?!!
What an outstanding experience..The accommodations were beautiful and nicely maintained. The host was extremely accommodating to our every need. The breakfasts were imaginative and extremely delicious!!!!I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for place at the shore 5 STARS!!!!!
No drawbacks to this B&B!!!!
Everything! Service, hospitality, charm, etc.
There was an excellent hostess and a great breakfast. The room was comfortable. The other occupants were pleasant ( lucky I guess) and appeared to be equally satisfied with the accommodations. Several were repeat visitors. We would go there again.
Doors and locks needed a little attention. No Ghosts in attendance.
short walk to the beach and to Washington square
The owner of the home was extremely kind, and allowed us to keep our car in the parking lot until 2pm departure so that we could have another day at the beach. Our room was spotless, and the bed was quite comfortable. We truly enjoyed our stay.
It would have been nice to have had some miniature toiletries in the bathroom such as shampoo, conditioner, etc. The air conditioner in the wall did not sufficiently cool the bedroom, so we had to resort to the window unit for sufficient cooling.
it needs to be painted at the very least
We like the proximity to the beach. The parking was great. The staff was very cordial and didn't bother you so you felt very welcome.
Our room was in an attic space on the 3rd floor. My husband has a bad knee so that was tough. The slanted ceiling was awkward and the windows too small. The bed was small but comfortable enough. We would have preferred a "normal" breakfast of eggs, pancakes, french toast etc.
Friendly, cordial owners and guests. Great location for us. Quiet, no loud parties etc. Location is right in the center of things, so there is going to be street noise, but it did quiet down at night. Air conditioning when needed. We had a nice time as the weather permitted, and the garden was very nice, but it was depressing at times to see things neglected on the inside of the house. I have a feeling that there are many houses in Cape May that are in similar straits. The ones that are not have No Vacancy signs on them.
Very dated, dingy and old. The whole place needs a face-lift. The prices are very high, so why not spruce up the pace and keep it well maintained? Lighting was so dim in the dining room that you could hardly see anything. Upon looking up, it was easy to see that the light bulbs were very low wattage. Good for the environment, but at these prices? I did see a poor review at the end of the review section, and some improvements were made, such as some shampoo and conditioner provided, etc. This house, built in 1879, deserves to be well maintained and painted. It looks as though it had a great renovation about 20 years ago and then, nothing. Even the profuse silk flower arrangements were dusty and frumpy.
The owner was delightful, the location & room was perfect.
There was nothing that we found lacking.
The location is close to the boardwalk beach and the mall and restaurant !!
It was a fantastic location! Joe the owner was very personable and accommodating. The third floor room cooled off nicely with the in-room air conditioning. Breakfast was very good! Had access to a refridgerator! Would stay there again!
The main house rooms got a bit warm without central air, however we were not in those areas for extended periods of time. The wifi did not work well.
Great location and good breakfast.
Loud air conditioner.
Quirky and comfortable with little extras such as use of a communal fridge.
Loved it all!
The inn keeper Joe is great. He is friendly making you feel at home. His breakfast egg cheese potatoes casserole was delicious! Great location to the beach and shopping.
Wonderful, comfortable home..excellent location...delicious food..will definitely be back!
The location was excellent and the inn keeper was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great!
