“ Very friendly & helpful staff, made an effort to accomodate a special request. Suite was spacious, clean and comfortable with great views. Location is 15 mins walk from Empire State Building, 5 mins from subway. Price was very good for such a central location. ”

While an older hotel, effort has been made to spruce up the rooms and the staff was very friendly, accomodating and efficient. They made it feel like home for a few days! Very comfortable room and very convienent location. If you are a traveler who perfers a comfortable and relaxing stay and is not in need of all of the bells and whistles, I would recommend this hotel. Older carpet.

Very friendly staff. Junior Suite room was very spacious and had excellent facilities. No more than 15 minutes walk from all the Midtown attractions. Only 5 minutes from Grand Central for Uptown and Downtown visits. Attached restaurant was excellent. Not mentioned on their site, but Blooms deli is next door and excellent for breakfast. Leaving

Location - close to Grand Central, walking distance to attractions, good local restaurants in vicinity. Small bathroom, but it's an old building, looks like old apartments retrofitted to hotel rooms. Noise from the elevator.

Clean and safe is important to us and this hotel fit the bill. Very quiet. There was a small kitchenette with cupboards, a sink, coffee pot and microwave.Great closet space and large room. It is very close to Grand Central Terminal and to all mid-town shopping and sights. The mattress and pillows were kind of hard.

It was close to Grand Central Station and a decent walk from Times Square. We were put in a Family Suite rather than the Tower Suite that we reserved and still need to contact the office about getting some money back. They offered $15/night but there is a $40/night price difference on the website.

The location was good. The fassade nice. Service not great. Waiting. Was woken up housekeeping. No tag on door to say do not disturb. Had a small kitchinette and coffee maker but no coffee or tea or anything.

Location is very central to many things, but not in a noisy part of Manhattan. We looked out to the Empire State Building from our room. Studio room is large, which was useful for entertaining our family at a graduation event. Room is clean. Room is a bit worn (carpet) and bedding is poor/cheap (needs better mattress and the type of upscale bedding found at other hotels).

Hotel front desk very much unfriendly. When they looked at my reservation and knew I booked with Booking.com, they could of cared less that I was there. Never said one word to me. Didn't even tell me my room number.

The location can't be bettered for the price payed. Good coffee provided in room. The Bedford is a tired hotel. The rooms was tiny, and the bathroom similar. The carpet needed a good clean. The 1 inch gap under the door allowed noises into the room from the corridor. The rain hitting the outside air con unit sounded like a steel drum band in the bedroom. It hasn't been decorated since it was built.

it was walking distance to everything. lots of places to eat nearby. 2 blocks away from grand central station. noisy at night and our view was a brick wall. also, the smells from the restaurants below came into the room even though we were on the 9th floor.

location was ideal. Easily accessible from La Guardia as hotel is on the East Side of Manhattan. Also, less than 100 m from Grand Central. Price was good. Not luxurious, but clean and budget-friendly.

We were looking for a place to stay in the city that wasn't ridiculously overpriced and this hotel was perfect. Great location. Clean facility! Friendly staff. The rooms were really big! Would recommend to others easily! nothing!
