Street noise and rather expensive. Smoke detector started beeping in the middle of the night. TV cable reception was poor.

staff friendly and accomodating. wonderful location. very quiet and no traffic noise.

Some rooms too small for two. Had to change rooms twice. Third room, at a reduced upgrade rate, was satisfactory.

Everything was perfect. If we go NYC again, we will be there.

Clean,staff helpful, My son's girlfriend stays 3 blocks away that was why I chose this hotel. Great restaurants and bars nearby.Really got the feel of New York. Will stay there again

The front desk and bellhops were wonderful. They were very helpful and informative. The hotel was very beautiful inside.

When we arrived at the hotel we were very tired.checked i The room looked good when we first walked in. Upon further notice the bed had stains and hairs all over the top. The hotel sent housekeeping and changed the sheets. The next day my daughter forgot something in our room and went back up to it. The housekeeper was very rude and treated her like she was a criminal. My daughter had a key in hand and the housekeeper asked her when she was planning non coming back to the room. Afternoon or evening? She wanted to know. Very strange encounter and very rude employee.

The gym would be better if there were separate headphones for the television, so that my choice of tv did not affect others, and vica versa.

-It was interesting no one called us to let us know our rooms were ready...staff knew it was raining - we got in early and ventured out in the rain....

The location was great and the room was comfortable and clean. Iced tea in the lobby for guests.

The bar in the lobby only seemed to be open for very limited hours. It would have been nice to be able to get a coffee and snacks.

Their internet access was spotty at best. Otherwise, great service, responsive staff, and very clean and comfortable.

noisy (VERY noisy) you could hear everything in the rooms around they were remodeling the building and I woke up with men outside my window not clean (not clean at all) used to be a design hotel, but now it is old and not proper maintained very expensive for what it offers

The computers were down. We didn't get in our rooms until 5 pm and needed to be out for evening by 6. There had been some kind of big pipe that broke earlier that day so not really anyone's fault . The staff arranged to SUV's to pick us up at the door so we could be at our destination on time. That was very thoughtful. I think they were working under bad circstances so I cannot blame staff. The hotel is old and charming. I was given a room with king bed and pullout couch but had requested and paid for a room with two queen beds.

I should have gotten a discount for all our trouble. I didn't complain when checking out because of time constraints but a 5pm check in was stressful and I didn't get two queen beds as I paid for.

The staff were all very helpful and welcoming. The location near Central Park was delightful The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The umbrella in the closet was a godsend

Rooms appear twice as big on picture. In reality you barely have room for a bag without tripping over it. No complimentary water. No breakfast. no coffee in the morning.

I was upgraded to a larger two room suite with three beds and two TVs on the 8th floor with excellent city views. One of my favorite restaurants, Big Nick's was in the building but might be forced out of the location because of rent increases.

The bathroom was small, really small. The shower was fine but it was hard to use the sink.

Rooms appear twice as big on pictures. In reality you barely have space between your bed and the 4 walls to put your bag without tripping over it. Empty minibar. No drinking water. Ironing device didn't work. No breakfast. Even coffee in the morning not complimentary. Shower and toilet didn't flush.

Air condition dated in my suite

The room was hot. The air conditioner was very loud. The staff gave me a fan that helped.

- Fair price: not inexpensive, but not absurd, with good size room (I got the King one) - Location: very close to Central Park and subway with express lines.

- Poor internet access: worked only once, but when I called the desk to request rebooting the router the staff immediately (and abruptly) pointed out toll a free number, which did not answer both times I called (in different days). - Even though I had been guaranteed early check in for a $35 charge after I had called and written to request it, when I arrived I still had to wait over three hours to have a room ready (although not charged the $35, I specifically chose this hotel due to the early check in).

Room was very clean and staff was quite helpful. Great location on the upper west side

LOUDENESS from the street - unbearable.

The location is excellent. Subway, central park and very good breakfast/dinner places in walking distance (i.e. the Fairway). Room was big enough for the four of us with two double beds.

It was a bit noisy due to traffic and building work outside. Try to get a room at the top floor. It would be nice to have a free coffee in the morning.
