the problem with method of payments
Small, but for the price and location, I didn't mind! Also if it's just one or two people, and you just need a place to sleep, the size doesn't matter! It's New York anyways, you go there to sit in the room! Shower tap needs a bit getting used to, (but maybe that's just me) And the water in the shower should be able to be drained quicker, (just a small something the management should look at) The bedding etc was a little old, but the important thing is, it was clean!
Location, friendly staff, overall cleanliness! Well organised!
Teeny-tiny rooms with a window which DOES NOT count as a window! It was dark the whole time, no way of telling if it was day or late evening, sunny or dark. Felt almost claustrophobic in there. And all that at ca. 150$ per night! (Telling me that 'it is New York, what did you expect' is no excuse - if the state of things is absurd, one should always speak up!)
The rooms were clean, wifi worked just fine, close to Central Park and the subway.
location and price
On the first night we were given a room with poor window isolation but the next day everything was sorted out.
The rooms were pretty, the location was also good. The people were at the front desk were really nice and helpful.
Staff were not friendly or helpful. Could not answer Ny questions about local attractions.. No coffee maker had to cross the front lobby in pygamas to get coffee amd then pay for it. Comon!
Building was clean...I liked that it was old authentic new york..
Early check in is not offered Room is so small that my husband & I both have bruised legs from hitting the edges of the bed while trying to access our suitcases.
Easy access to subway
Room was very small
Room much too small for comfort.
Location - close to subway and lots of places to eat - for breakfast and evening meals as well as supermarkets and other shops. Very friendly staff. Really comfortable bed and although the rooms are small they have enough space for everything as well as being spotlessly clean and quiet.
Sure the rooms were s bit small but it's Manhattan. Unless you want to drop $300+ a night for a room that you're not going to stay in a whole lot anyways feel free. I'll be Savin money and seeing the city while I book the Belnord.
Location and price were perfect
We had to upgrade to a larger room. The original couldn't accommodate 2 people and luggage. We ended up in a larger room with 2 twin beds. No coffee maker, no amenities.
Very clean hotel, great location, staff was friendly.
I told the man at the front desk that I already paid for the room on the website but he did not believe me. He wound up charging me twice and you there wasn't even a place where you could get free Water. Horrible customer service where the clerk even assured me that the charge would disappear over night it didn't. I had to call my back dispute it and found out there was a third charge on my statement that he cancelled. Total ignorance.
Nothing at all.
Realy small rooms. Location.
The room key was a constant problem which was very annoy to have to get a new key literally everytime I left the room.
I liked that the room was very clean and cozy. The female at the front was really helpful. The guy made me feel like I wasn't suppose to be there so I just ignored him.
Very very small room, with our 2 bags we couldn't almost enter the bathroom.
Very noisy heating units
The rooms are small but everything is kept extremely clean and well maintained.
shower should also have a cord or a tap, cause if you want to only wash feet, with head shower you cant...
Would have liked some ice.
I've stayed at the Belnord before. So I knew it was clean, conveniently located and priced right. This trip, as before, I was not disappointed. It's a great little find on the upper west side of Manhattan.
liked very much
Rooms were small, overall staff were very nice and room was very clean
Great value good location good staff . I would definitely stay again
- The air conditioning was so noisy that you think a train is running inside the room. The entire room floor and bed was shaking as a result. Asked for a room change which took two days to happen but the air con in the new room was equally noisy and the room was a lot smaller ( I guuess the floor of the new room was no longer vibrating so I should be thankful.. ) - The room is small and the bedsheet is dirty. Itch Itch And ITCH!!! - I would not recommend this place .
-Free wifi -Fair location
Too tiny room, even without a small desk
Good location, next to subway station
The room was a bit small for American standereds but we thought it was enough. The bathroom was renovated and very clean. There was a fridge at the end of the hall which was great! The staff was very friendly!
The room was pretty small, with the bed occupying most of the available space.
Extremely well located, it's just 10 minutes walk from Central Park and 2 monutes walk from the closest Subway station.
