An extremely basic hotel. The size of the room is barely bigger than the size of the bed. You won't want to spend more time in the hotel than necessary
Id you are looking for a place to have a shower in the evening and sleep this place is fine. It's clean and functional.
Habitaciones algo pequeñas,especialmente el baño
Excelente ubicación, wi fi gratis, muy limpio, excelente relación precio/calidad.
Only good experiences
Good hotel at reasonable price
There was a touch of road noise but nothing that stopped us from getting a good nights sleep.
Staff were friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable and clean. It was very close to Central Park and easy to travel to other parts of Manhattan.
The room we got was very small for 2 persons. We were carrying a large suitcase and it took almost all the available space to walk. I think it needs more furniture (or a bench to put the suitcase). While staying there we noticed the rooms in our side (the back side) are far smaller than the ones across the corridor (front side?) of the hotel. So if travelling with a large suitcase, ask for the larger room! Also, there was no kettle to make tea or coffee or vending machine to get water, and it meant we had to go to a shop to get it. Other than that, we had a great experience here and would definitely come back!
It was great for NYC: Nice and clean room, clean toilets, great shower, comfy bed, quiet for a good night sleep. We had a very pleasant stay. The hotel is very conveniently located in a residential neighbourhood (upper west), very close to a subway stop (at 86th with Broadway) that connects to everything with line 1. There were lots of restaurants in Amsterdam st. that open early or stay up late. Also there is a 24hr pharmacy and bakery in Broadway only across the street. Central park is walking distance (15 mins), with the American Museum and Met museum close by. At the lobby of the hotel they have a couple of screens informing passengers of the flights departures from all 3 major NYC airports, which was very helpful.
even if it is close to the subway, it will take some time by subway to enter more vivid and entertaining parts of new york.
if you like jogging you are close to central park. my room was upgraded to a larger room, so I had good space. friendly staff, close to subway and a calm area.
Staff was difficult to communicate.
The location of the hotel is great. Near CP and other great places to eat and leasure.
Room very small.
the problem with method of payments
Small, but for the price and location, I didn't mind! Also if it's just one or two people, and you just need a place to sleep, the size doesn't matter! It's New York anyways, you go there to sit in the room! Shower tap needs a bit getting used to, (but maybe that's just me) And the water in the shower should be able to be drained quicker, (just a small something the management should look at) The bedding etc was a little old, but the important thing is, it was clean!
Location, friendly staff, overall cleanliness! Well organised!
Teeny-tiny rooms with a window which DOES NOT count as a window! It was dark the whole time, no way of telling if it was day or late evening, sunny or dark. Felt almost claustrophobic in there. And all that at ca. 150$ per night! (Telling me that 'it is New York, what did you expect' is no excuse - if the state of things is absurd, one should always speak up!)
The rooms were clean, wifi worked just fine, close to Central Park and the subway.
location and price
On the first night we were given a room with poor window isolation but the next day everything was sorted out.
The rooms were pretty, the location was also good. The people were at the front desk were really nice and helpful.
Staff were not friendly or helpful. Could not answer Ny questions about local attractions.. No coffee maker had to cross the front lobby in pygamas to get coffee amd then pay for it. Comon!
Building was clean...I liked that it was old authentic new york..
Early check in is not offered Room is so small that my husband & I both have bruised legs from hitting the edges of the bed while trying to access our suitcases.
Easy access to subway
Room was very small
Room much too small for comfort.
Location - close to subway and lots of places to eat - for breakfast and evening meals as well as supermarkets and other shops. Very friendly staff. Really comfortable bed and although the rooms are small they have enough space for everything as well as being spotlessly clean and quiet.
Sure the rooms were s bit small but it's Manhattan. Unless you want to drop $300+ a night for a room that you're not going to stay in a whole lot anyways feel free. I'll be Savin money and seeing the city while I book the Belnord.
Location and price were perfect
We had to upgrade to a larger room. The original couldn't accommodate 2 people and luggage. We ended up in a larger room with 2 twin beds. No coffee maker, no amenities.
Very clean hotel, great location, staff was friendly.
I told the man at the front desk that I already paid for the room on the website but he did not believe me. He wound up charging me twice and you there wasn't even a place where you could get free Water. Horrible customer service where the clerk even assured me that the charge would disappear over night it didn't. I had to call my back dispute it and found out there was a third charge on my statement that he cancelled. Total ignorance.
Nothing at all.
Realy small rooms. Location.
The room key was a constant problem which was very annoy to have to get a new key literally everytime I left the room.
I liked that the room was very clean and cozy. The female at the front was really helpful. The guy made me feel like I wasn't suppose to be there so I just ignored him.
Very very small room, with our 2 bags we couldn't almost enter the bathroom.
Very noisy heating units
The rooms are small but everything is kept extremely clean and well maintained.
