Rooms were small, overall staff were very nice and room was very clean
liked very much
Great value good location good staff . I would definitely stay again
-Free wifi -Fair location
- The air conditioning was so noisy that you think a train is running inside the room. The entire room floor and bed was shaking as a result. Asked for a room change which took two days to happen but the air con in the new room was equally noisy and the room was a lot smaller ( I guuess the floor of the new room was no longer vibrating so I should be thankful.. ) - The room is small and the bedsheet is dirty. Itch Itch And ITCH!!! - I would not recommend this place .
Good location, next to subway station
Too tiny room, even without a small desk
The room was a bit small for American standereds but we thought it was enough. The bathroom was renovated and very clean. There was a fridge at the end of the hall which was great! The staff was very friendly!
Extremely well located, it's just 10 minutes walk from Central Park and 2 monutes walk from the closest Subway station.
The room was pretty small, with the bed occupying most of the available space.
Location is not bad. Hot water provided in the kitchen.
Small room. Thin walls, you can hear each step in the corridor. At the end of the day, someone smoked in the corridor and took our guacamole from the fridge in the communal kitchen.
Great location near central park, well functioning WiFi, room service every day, we'll equipped bathroom (hair dryer, good shower etc.)
Room rather small
Excellent location, one block away from the subway station. The room was clean, and the staff very friendly. It's small, but manageable.
The WiFi didn't work or was very slow most of the time.
Clean and comfortable. A good price.
You could not phone out on their phones, which was inconvenient. Also, a little coffee maker in the room would have been nice. There was no microwave in the small kitchen on each floor.
Very clean, cute room remodel
The room was so very tiny that the bed was right next to the door. No sound isolation, so you will hear a person breathing in the hall. If you are a sensitive sleeper, this hotel is not for you.
Great location on Upper West Side - lots of good restaurants and one block from subway. Saved money by parking on street all day and overnight. Although the room was small, it was clean and nicely decorated, and the bathroom updated. Friendly staff.
Our room had no place to hang clothes. (We used the shower curtain rod.) The free wifi was off and on.
Very great location, safe all the time. Clean, friendly staffs.
There was only one thing that I can't stand. One lady across thr hall way makes noise all the time. But I think this was her problem not hotel's falut. Because I didn't hear nothing from room right next to me.
Price and location are good. Quick checkin and checkout process.
Rooms are too small. If you are traveling with many luggage youay have trouble. The rooms on 3rd floor seems to be slightly bigger than the ones on the 5th floor.
Location is the only good thing of this hotel
Tiniest hotel room I ever saw! Wifi doesn't work except for a few minutes and then it looses reception. You can't get a decent sleep because when you put on the heating, it gets very loud and the bed keeps on moving When I complained they said its normal as they have some weird heating system.(I was on 3rd floor). Even YMCA has bigger rooms. When you put yr suitcase next to yr bed there is no room left to move. And no closet for yr clothes. It's that tiny. Any other place you get will be better value than this place
It was the only hotel I could find in this area.
I paid extra for a two bed room, since I was planning to travel with someone else. When I arrived alone, they put me in a one bed room that was about 3 feet bigger than the bed. I was too tired to go back and argue.
If you are familiar with the transportation in the city location is pretty good. Clean rooms.
Staff did not leave a good impression on me at all. Rooms are very, very small. You can barely move throughout the room. If you are tall then you will not fit in the bed, your feet will be sticking out
Most everything else
good location - close to subway, huge room, good services, little kitchen with fridge and hot water
slow wifi (i had to go to Starbucks for sending the work, but luckily one is behind corner), staff is helpful but not very friendly
What a hidden gem! Small, tidy, cheap and in a brilliant location. Sure, the rooms are small but if you are looking for a base from which to get out and about, the room size is not an issue.
A kettle and bar fridge in the room would be nice so we could make a cup of tea at the end of the day. Only a small issue, to be honest!
Good for the price though I catch a promotion fare ($101 with taxes). Very clean, close to Central Park. Downside, very tiny rooms, no breakfast.
Price and location.
The bed needs a blanket - not just the bed spread.
The location is excellent. Close to both subway and Central Park. The bed was firm & the room/bathroom very clean.
I think the computer kiosk should be complimentary for paying customers. I was there w/out computer access & that would have helped a lot.
The location - close to public transportation, restaurants, shops, and attractions. The hotel is clean and comfortable; though rooms are small and fairly basic, the Belnord represents a good value for Manhattan.
No bad experiences. I couldn't access the WiFi but other nearby locations - including the Barnes and Noble at 81st Street - have excellent WiFi.
location and transport access were great. not in tourist country per se and so food prices were very acceptable with good quality
bed a bit short, even for a 5 ft 9 inch adult. we preferred the twin bed room.larger with more storage
