The staff found out we were coming for our anniversay weekend and upgraded us to a Suite - the staff there are wonderful, great time, great experience!
I really did not like the hotel. Noisy, small room, pricy for the quality of the place. Very uncomfortable bed and pillows.
Location, service, rules and price for the place.
That it was quiet
The pillows were to hard
The lodge worked with our needs by checking us in early, and recommending a good breakfast restaurant. I will stay there again and recommend it to my friends.
Staff courtesy, location, hotel cat :-P
Room was nice, Staff was very friendly
Traffic on the road by the hotel. They were doing construction and working at night. We could not sleep for the noise
I really liked some of the help, the bed was comfortable, the view of the lake was really nice.
their was no place for you to sit out of the rain and enjoy the view. There was not one spot that the three of us women in our group, while the men fished, could sit and visit. The restaurant and bar was closed till 3 pm, so you were not suppose to go in their. The main lady at the lodge was very rude and acted like she could care less as to what we said. I was going to leave a comment slip on what I thought would improve the sitting issues, and was told by her the owner wouldn`t read it anyway. The other two gals at the front desk could not have been nicer, the made our stay enjoyable. The rooms were so small that you could not even sit . Bonnie Great Falls
Desk clerk was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the area and things to do. Continental Breakfast was excellent (Don't miss the waffles). Location great and close to everything!
Friendly and helpful staff quiet and comfortable room
Liked nothing, really.
A terrible place to stay. Avoid if possible,
Location, reception staff were very pleasant.
Breakfast staff rude. Paper thin walls. Rooms quite dark and lack of ventilation
Breakfast could have been better more choices
Not many amenities. A little noisy. A little pricey for what we got. Small room
Quaint and comfy
Needed black out curtains
Very comfortable with two separate bedrooms. Breakfast was very nice with lots of choices.
Ventilation to cool the room was provided by windows only. One window had no screen. Rooms were a bit too warm.
The breakfasts and location.
Small, dark room in basement with high window that looked out onto a pile of rocks. We were told if we changed the room would be noisy on the highway.
Bed was comfortable and we had a view of the lake.
noise from above in the restaurant.
The restaurant staff was delightful and the food was delicious. Absolutely outstanding, in fact.
We paid $189.00 for a tiny room in the lower level. The "view" was a ground level pile of rocks outside and the parked vehicles. We complained about the value -- to which she replied, "You had a choice when you made the reservation". I had viewed a notice at the front desk about discounts for AARP and AAA and told her we were members of both. She stated that she wouldn't do anything and we would have to settle that with whoever we had the reservation with. We then requested the other side of the hall (we were already told there were no rooms available above ground.) Initially she stated she had nothing across the hall and as I was leaving, she "discovered" an available room. It was just as tiny but had a ground level view of the road and inlet. We told her that $189 for a room so tiny there was no place for our suitcase was ridiculous and
Mostly the location and the view.
The lack of amenities and the smallness of the room.
Position and kindness of the staff.
I liked the location, convenient to town and the spit both. The room was a little small, but otherwise comfortable.
The food selection.
the restaurant had a great view.
we had a small room and view to parking lot. for that money we expected better
The staff was extremely nice and the place was very clean. The hotel has a bar/restaurant upstairs.
We are led to believe that the hotel overlooks the lake, but in all reality, the hotel overlooks a bog next to the lake (the lake is across the road). The hotel is quite noisy. Both days, I was woken up by rowdy fisherman hanging out in the parking lot at 5 am. We could hear EVERY step that was made by the people upstairs. Like most hotels in Alaska, they don't have AC, however, unlike most hotels, they don't have a fan in the room to help cool down. The room is super small. I know that hotel rooms aren't typically large, but this is comparable to what one would stay in on a cruise ship.
Room was so small felt like we were sardines stuck in a tin can.
Not very friendly!!!
