Belvedere Hotel

although an old hotel, excellent conservation. staff is great. localization too. even the elevators that people allways complains were OK

Excellent location; comfortable room; friendly, helpful staff

The Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful when looking for suggestions on where to go for dinner and entertainment.

Bathrooms were a little small, the view we had was not the best, and the Hotel did not offer complimentary WI-Fi like more upscale Hotels do. They charged for the Internet by the day or hour I believe.

The Belvedere has a great location on 48th Street just off 8th Avenue. It is only a few blocks from Times Square, a large number of Broadway theatres and shows and close to the Hell's Kitchen cafes and restaurants along 9th Ave, a must for affordable eating in NYC. The staff are friendly and the room we had was very clean AND had a small refrigerator, which many other hotels do not!

We went on a cruise and when we returned to NYC, needed to store ourbags for a few hours. Management's decree was, if you are not a current paying guest, you get no priveleges. For the small issue of storing a few bags, I thought they could have been more hospitable. After all, I had just spent over $1,300 the previous week there. It will cause me to reconsider The Belvedere in view of this approach.

Associates were friendly

Air conditioner was still in the window which made it very noisy at night. It was very hard to sleep. Also the room did not have a shower curtain. We had to call when we checked into the room.

The location is excellent at only 2 blocks to Times Square and a couple more to Rockefeller Center, yet the hotel is on a quite block where you can sleep peacefully without noise.

Location and staff were great. Comfortable rooms with coffee makers, refrigerator and microwave; did not have to rely on room service for morning coffee.

Smallish rooms for the price.

The hotel is greatly situated a few minutes from Times Square. Yet, it's surprisingly quiet. The rooms are sufficiently spacious, beds are comfortable, the bathroom freshly renovated and clean. To top it all, the room is equipped with a little kitchenette. I found everything I needed and will definitely stay there again on my next visit to New York, price permitting.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The choice of breakfast was excellent and the breakfast staff were very helpful. Room service menu very good, service prompt and prices reasonable.

Hotel staff not overly helpful or friendly when asked advice on directions to various places.

no bar to relax in and the door men need to smile a bit more. The rooms lack ceramic cups and I think cutlery should be provided.

I thought the location was fantastic and the staff was very friendly especially the bellman Peter and the concierge desk staff. The rate was good for a New York city hotel in such a good location.

Room was comfortable. Liked that there was a refrigerator and micro oven in the room.

The bed was a bit hard.
