Size of room was good compared to NY rooms. Staff were extremely helpful. Very clean and location is excellent whilst quiet at night. The hotel is exactly as it is described and we were not disappointed. Not enough lifts as there was always a queue

The hotel is in a good central location in the city and handy for the shows and bars The hotel is poor value for money, the waiting time for the elevators is shocking, the rooms was cramped and the bathroom a real shocker, it was not possible to sit straight on the loo due to the position, you had to sit side on. There was no hotel bar. We moved to the Waldorf after a few days and the price difference was only a few more dollars but the standard was so much higher.

I love the size of the hotel. Despite being in the middle of New York the Belvedere is cosy. It is very central and all midtown attractions are very easy to access without being situated in a busy area. Some of the bathrooms are a little dated but rooms are warm and welcoming. There is no longer a restaurant despite there appearing to be a photo of it.

Its location is just perfect for seeing all the sights & so close to Time Square We had a room to the front of the hotel & even though we were on the 14th floor it was a bit noisy at night so if your a light sleeper its hard to get a good nights sleep & no free wifi to keep in touch with home.

My last visit to this hotel was in the 1990's. The Hotel has undergone substantial restoration in recent years and was pleasantly furnished and in good clean order throughout the public areas and our room. The personnel were all friendly and efficient and in particular the following staff were especially helpful, Jerry the doorman, Ed the consierge and the Director of operations Julio Vargas. We stayed at the Belvedere during some of the worst storms in Manhattan for many decades and despite this the hotel team managed to stay calm and to maintain a high standard throughout our visit A possible improvement would be the addition of a residents lounge and bar. This could be accommodated on the Ground floor by re organising space from international call and computer room and the cafe which is only used in the mornings for breakfast.

Only the location for broadway shows and time square. Everything! Dingy corridors and rooms. Noisy inside and out. Opposite a school really not the best. For the ridiculous cost of this room I expected what I saw on the Internet. It was the worst hotel we stayed in on our whole trip and we stayed at 10 altogether. A big ripoff. And if the lift went any slower you would miss your plane!!!!

The location. Staff were not friendly. Elevators are a joke. Always a queue of people in the lobby waiting for the antiquated lifts to arrive. They are so old and slow, probably the worst we have ever encountered around the world.

Its excellent location to Broadway and Times Square..definitely a plus point. We had the deluxe double bedroom which hasn't been refurbished and interior decor looked really outdated. The noise coming from the window air-conditioning unit was noisy at times.

Nice size, well located to Times Square, Central Park, shopping and restaurants. Transportation was super easy. Elevators were super small & old, no free internet, and the common halls have no air circulation.

Excellent location. Having to pay for wi-fi. I stayed in many budget hotels in Europe and the UK during my trip and they all provided free wi-fi. It just meant that I had to go to Starbucks and Macdonalds nearby to utilize their free wi-fi facilities.

The room was not as nice as the room we had when we stayed there a couple years ago - bathroom was hardly big enough to turn around in and no space to put anything. But, overall, the staff is very nice and helpful and the location is great!

When we arrived at the hotel our room wasn't ready for us to check in (this was near 7pm in the evening). The General Manager was on the front desk who promptly apologised for this and offered to throw in complimentary breakfast for our party of 3 for the entire 5 night stay, together with a late check out room without charge. This was customer service to a very high standard. We went for dinner at a superb family run Italian restaurant until our room was ready and the General Manager called to let us know that we could now come back and check into our room.
