The view from the roof top bar. A/C old, noisy and inefficient. The 'terrace' around roof top bar is a very low standard. The Walls are thin enough to hear neighbours snoring and other activities! The lifts are dirty and slow. In sumarry, I suspect the current owners bought before the crash and are over leveraged resulting in zero investment - 2 star now, 3 star with a bit of investment.

We stayed at the Bentley for 5 nights on couples city break. It was our 2nd trip to New York and we loved the location as it was near so many restaurants bars etc, subway was a 10min walk but we didn't mind this as you walk everywhere in ny. Hotel was very modern and staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. We ate in the rooftop restaurant which has gorgeous views and food was good and very reasonable. I would recommend this to young couples and friends travelling as a group. We would definitley stay here again.

The location was nice. The beds were comfortable, and the aircondition in the rooms were good. The shower system was not comfortable. Sometimes you had to wait long for an elevator. The breakfast was not particularly full of choices, and it was expensive, but the view was nice. All in all, the price for this hotel didn't meet the expected level of comfort.

It was a block away from my cousin's apartment, so good location. Staff were very friendly and room was well appointed. Sound proofing of the rooms is terrible! Kept awake by party in adjacent room, could hear every word spoken (not shouted), and music was very intrusive. Lifts are incredibly slow to respond to calls - 16th floor I waited over 8 minutes on one occasion before a lift arrived - not going in the same direction I was...

The room was clean, large and well decorated. I was very unhappy that they did not have the room for me when I arrived at midnight - and it took them 1 hour to arrange for me to move to another hotel - which was inferior in room size, facilities etc. Overall the Bentley staff were poor, the room facilities were minimal (no tea coffee available room service, or in room facilities).

The Hotel Bentley is outstanding and I will plan to stay there upon my return to New York City. I love the rooftop cafe. The parking facility being adjacent to the hotel is also a big benefit. Charles Modlin, M.D.

The hotel is very clean, comfortable and well located, overlooking the East River and the Queensborough Bridge. Central Park, Museum Mile and Fifth Avenue are all about a 20-25 minute leisurely walk away and the subway is also within a very short walk meaning that all the other main attractions such as Times Square. The Empire State Building and Macy's are very easy to reach.

They were extremely accommadating assisting me on my stay. Although the original waterfront view room that was booked was unavailable, the staff immediately upgraded my stay to the junior suite :0)

Its pleasant and well organized layout, along with its pleasant and resourcefull staff. Expensive internet hookup! Free wifi is a must today, to be fully competitive. Even Starbucks and Mc Donald's provide it for free!!!

Great room, great price, great location. Very comfortable bed. Room had really nice design and great views, big windows. They had a special deal on parking (not advertised) for guests, which saved us a lot of money. The lamps in one of the rooms of the suite didn't work. We asked for someone to come up and get them to work. No one ever came up. We had to call three times to get additional bedding. The staff were nice but not really very responsive.

The hotel was immaculate and everyone there was friendly and helpful. I needed a place that was reasonably priced near Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center to be near a loved one. It's also just blocks from good shopping (Bloomies) and good restaurants. Liked the neighborhood as well. Would have liked to have had a fridge in the room.

the modern and classic look , the rate are very reasonable to be in New York. the stuff is nice and kind , the location also if is at the very east side is still 62nd street and in 10 minutes walk you are on Madison or in Fifth Avenue i think could be better the food and the breakfast , i like the view but , but the looks of the table and the food presentation is not as the level of the hotel rooms.

I liked the view from our hotel room! The view was a great scenic view of the city! The bathroom does not have an exhaust fan which really put a damper on getting ready in the morning. Tried to turn the air on at night to keep room nice and cool while sleeping and would not go below 74 degrees. Told staff yes they looked at it but could only get the air to go as low as 72 which was better but still extremely warm.

The location is great, near the Rockefeller university, which i visited during my stay. Staff was very nice, kind and helpful. I ordered a deluxe room and received a very small room, which is more "a cell" than a room. Breakfast was very dull.
