The location was near major roads. The coffee was good in the a.m.

The man at the desk was as apathetic as could be. The room was small and smelled so bad, that you couldn't get the smell out of your nose, or your clothes. The shower was held together with mold and caulk. The room was damp the entire time, even with the AC on. Upon returning to our room each evening, there was always something not restocked. Basic things like cups, soap, toilet paper. Everything that is bad about motels was here.

I was traveling "solo" with my 13 year old son so that we could visit the Norman Rockwell Museum, attend a free performance at Jacob's Pillow, and watch the Boston Pops on the lawn at Tanglewood. I needed an inexpensive place to stay. The Berkshire Travel Lodge was the least expensive place I could find in the right location. We really just needed a place to sleep so it was perfect for our needs. Staff was friendly. The room was basic and clean. Bed comfortable. Complimentary breakfast fine for our needs. Pool an added plus. We also liked the huge old fashioned MOTEL sign.

Although the location was near all places we were visiting the motel is right off the Interstate and near railroad tracks and so a little noisy for light sleepers. Television had poor reception.

Convenient to highway. Accommodations are simple but all you need for a one night stay or if you plan to explore the area in the day. Pool was clean and there are nice views and two decks you can sit on to relax. Small fridge and microwave in the room.

Bathroom is very small. Store bought bagels and donuts were marginal.

The second night we were put in a room that was comfortable, quiet and with a good air conditioning system.

The first night we had a terrible room. The sheets were damp, the air conditioner was noisy and exuded a sickly sweet aroma and when turned off, the noise of the traffic kept us awake. The beds needed cotton mattress pads between the mattress cover and the sheets to avoid the dampness.

Very clean, easy to find, very courteous staff, firm bed. Breakfast adequate - bagels, toast, muffins, doughnuts and fruit. Beautiful ferns outside. Quiet.

    Wimpy shower, small room.

    It was clean

It was primitive. A 50 year old appearance and facility.

It was nice and quaint with a kind staff. It was close to both the NY Thruway and the Mass Pike. Nice for a quick stop overnight.

It is an older establishment and a bit rundown but nice. Due to the rain we were unable to use the pool, but that was not the fault of the Travel Lodge.

    The view

Bugs throughout entire room, tiny flies all over room and on the walls. Dirty room, wouldn't even attempt to use the shower. Customer service is horrible, we checked out and asked for a refund and we were told he couldn't help us and we would have to call back tomorrow and talk to the owner.

It was about the most basic of basic places that you can imagine. I admit, the price was better than the places closer to Tanglewood (if that's where you're headed) which give you about the same basic accommodations. A previous review said the breakfast was good. It is not even close to good. It may not really be breakfast. I picked up an english muffin that was moldy on the underside. It was changed but no apology. She also said the service was good. What service? I checked in, I paid, I got a key. The end. The decor of the room looked like it was made up of furniture that was given away at garage sales. In order to get something decent now in that area of the country you have to go for your lungs. What's going on? I cannot really recommend it but at least it was not dirty and less expensive than other similar places

the address on the site is incorrect and sends you to a different location when you put it in your GPS. I feel the price of $97 with tax, was too high for the room. There was something on the sheets which didn't fit the bed. The mattress was horrible. There was a whistling sound several times throughout the night. When entering the first room there was a smell of stale cigarette smoke, musty mold, and no way to open windows to air out. There was no coffee maker no hairdryer as mentioned on the website as amenities. Not only that but there is a family in residence next to the room with a gentleman smoking on the porch next to our door and a little girl riding by on her scooter looking into the room. We went back to management told them about the condition of the room and asked for another location. We were sent upstairs, moved the full cigarette ashcan away from our door, entered the room and saw there was one end table drawer in the whole room, a sink hanging on two by fours and the shower was installed at shoulder height for my height 5'4. Impossible for my 6'1 husband to use. There was a c-clamp holding it into the wall. The free 'breakfast" was coffee and four bagels--no spreads nor toaster--four donuts. That was the whole selection. We went back to management, then complained to booking, at which the management said they heard no complaints from us. I would have rathered sleep in my car then stay here!!! And we were just there for an overnight and there were no other vacancies in the area. Live and learn.

    Front desk was nice.

Bugs were all over the door at night since you cannot turn off the light outside your door. The shower head was at chest level. There was a large opening in the door crack allowing bugs to enter the room. The tv was extremely static ridden.
