Located near Interstate 90, this Old Chatham motel features an outdoor terrace and rooms that include a microwave and refrigerator. Downtown Chatham is 2 miles away.
Score from 66 reviews Good
Liked that it was off the interstate. the beds were good and the staff was friendly and competent.
The room smelled heavily of pinesol and was quite unpleasant. The closest place to eat was over 3 miles away.
Convenient location - visible from the interstate. Not luxurious but clean. Grounds are nicely kept and staff was very friendly. We were happy to patronize this small locally owned business and would stay there again.
Nearby train can be noisy. Glad I travel with earplugs!
Clean linen Comfy bed Near interstate
Location in middle of nowhere No way of making a drink Room smelt damp Absolutely no customer service So bad we abandoned 2nd night and moved on-no refund offered
outdated tv small room uncomfortable bed
The only thing that was good was the WiFi....
cable we only had 10 channels and 5 were snowy so would never stay there again
Convenient location and a good price
Wishing I had gotten the Queen bed as I had booked
Electrical outlets didn't work Furniture 1950 recycled
It was close to what I needed
It smelled, it was dirty
Very safe location, very quiet surroundings, great value, helpful staff
Place was a dump.
It was quiet with the room being large enough for two people. I would recommend it because there are not a lot of hotels available around Tanglewood. The ones that are, are expensive or sell out very quickly.
Bathroom was small and needed updating. Mattresses were hard, not extremely comfortable to sleep on. All in all it was a nice place but a little pricey for what you got. The whole room could use some updating.
Location was good, close to highway. Fridge, microwave, wifi all good features.
Owner's living quarters was above us and someone was walking around in shoes all night long. Water in shower not hot enough. TV was outdated and reception poor.
Cleanliness Staff asked if we needed anything
Bathroom door didn't close, doorknob missing Shower very difficult to regulate temp.ice cold or too hot Pillows too thin, could have used double.
The location was near major roads. The coffee was good in the a.m.
The man at the desk was as apathetic as could be. The room was small and smelled so bad, that you couldn't get the smell out of your nose, or your clothes. The shower was held together with mold and caulk. The room was damp the entire time, even with the AC on. Upon returning to our room each evening, there was always something not restocked. Basic things like cups, soap, toilet paper. Everything that is bad about motels was here.
I was traveling "solo" with my 13 year old son so that we could visit the Norman Rockwell Museum, attend a free performance at Jacob's Pillow, and watch the Boston Pops on the lawn at Tanglewood. I needed an inexpensive place to stay. The Berkshire Travel Lodge was the least expensive place I could find in the right location. We really just needed a place to sleep so it was perfect for our needs. Staff was friendly. The room was basic and clean. Bed comfortable. Complimentary breakfast fine for our needs. Pool an added plus. We also liked the huge old fashioned MOTEL sign.
Although the location was near all places we were visiting the motel is right off the Interstate and near railroad tracks and so a little noisy for light sleepers. Television had poor reception.
Smelly rooms, breakfast wasn't continental, iron not working, shower on was letting trough so little water, it was so long to rinse my hair
the location was perfect for all the places we wanted to get to, the people very pleasant - the poolwas enjoyable after a long day of travel and sightseeing and, the beds were very comfortable.
the rug could stand to be replaced sometime soon
It was cheaper than other options -- not a wow But an ok place to sleep. The bed was good The rest just ok Nothing fancy
I should of booked earlier and would if had more options
Convenient to highway. Accommodations are simple but all you need for a one night stay or if you plan to explore the area in the day. Pool was clean and there are nice views and two decks you can sit on to relax. Small fridge and microwave in the room.
Bathroom is very small. Store bought bagels and donuts were marginal.
It was a horrible experience!!! Please never stay here!!!!!
The second night we were put in a room that was comfortable, quiet and with a good air conditioning system.
The first night we had a terrible room. The sheets were damp, the air conditioner was noisy and exuded a sickly sweet aroma and when turned off, the noise of the traffic kept us awake. The beds needed cotton mattress pads between the mattress cover and the sheets to avoid the dampness.
Very clean, easy to find, very courteous staff, firm bed. Breakfast adequate - bagels, toast, muffins, doughnuts and fruit. Beautiful ferns outside. Quiet.
Wimpy shower, small room.
It was clean
It was primitive. A 50 year old appearance and facility.
It was nice and quaint with a kind staff. It was close to both the NY Thruway and the Mass Pike. Nice for a quick stop overnight.
It is an older establishment and a bit rundown but nice. Due to the rain we were unable to use the pool, but that was not the fault of the Travel Lodge.
