Very close to centre of hollywood, clean

Stayed here because it was close to where we needed to be. Were able to walk from here when we went out.Parking is free. Staff were friendly. Even tho it's a little dated it felt well maintained and safe.

The neighborhood is a little dirty and there's a bar across the street which plays loud music. If you turn up the air conditioning and put the really loud bathroom fan on then you could drown out the noise. We were staying on the street side so it was really noisy. I asked for a room away from the street when I booked in advance but never got it. We had to pay for our room for the week we stayed on the first night we arrived. Normally it is on the day you leave. Not sure why but I was too tired too argue.

It was great for what I paid for. The room was nicely furnished and clean. This place really puts the motel 6 next to Hollywood blvd to shame.

The clerk was a bit less than friendly though not bad.

The location is good and the room is clean.

However, the cleaner sprays too much cheap air perfume in the room that makes the room have a very strong and uncomfortable smell. That probably all chemical stuff and not good for heath. Besides, the window cannot open and you have to turn on the air-conditioner. That's ok. Yet, the problem is the machine is so LOUD that you seem to sleep at a place with construction work beside. If you are a light sleeper, I bet you cannot sleep well here.

When we first arrived at this hollywood best inn, the arrogant rude little foreign man at reception raised his voice and ranted because I put the licence plate of the hire car as ca, it should have been Nevada, as we are visitors to the country and we hired the car from la in ca, we just assumed it was licenced with California!!!!! In the end he insisted on actually going outside to view the car, then came back inside ranting about how he thought it could have been stolen (got the impression he thought we were car thieves)and that the area was notorious for car theft among other things! Well we were ready to just leave then and there! He offered no apology for his irratic paranoid behavior. But we stayed out the 5 days, had a pleasant enough stay, but dont count on having wifi, as its barely exists , there is also no restaurant there as was stated on their website.

Convenient location - close to metro, 711 convenience store and laundromat right next door and 24-hour pharmacy just across the road.

There are no elevators or porter service. If your allocated room is on the second floor, you have to be prepared to carry your own luggage up and down. The guy in the reception office is helpful but temperamental.

smocking allowed in public areas, pretty annoying could have a better map for visitors to get around

Very clean, big room, big tv, fridge, air conditioning/heating, microwave and big mirrors. :) Great location in great price.
