Hollywood Best Inn  

The owner was rude and difficult. A deposit was required to use the phone, but he couldn't remember that upon check out and time and research was required before I received my deposit back. In 30 years of staying in hotels, I have never been required to pay a deposit to make local calls. I chose this hotel because of the location as it is near where I used to live. All that has changed and my old neighborhood is not as it was. I do not recommend this hotel and would not use any service that listed or recommened it, as they have clearly not done the required due dillegence to qualify it.

Nice, clean and cheap place. Has no breakfast, but you can eat anything accross the street or nearby. Alim (I believe that's his name) was really nice, gave me some maps and everything. I REALLY looked for a chep and well localized place, and I'm sure this is the best. Nice folks, next to Hollywood, to a pharmacy, to a market, to a 7-11, subway, (nice pizza accross the street, and nice donuts as well).

Excellent location, rooms spacious and clean, plus gorgeous do nuts for breakfast. For the price we paid I have no criticism of this hotel.

Cheap. Very cheap. But... You quickly learn why.

Absolutely disgusting. The room had a terrible smell. Gross. But I guess, what can you expect for $55/night. I booked for 5 nights but had to move out after 3 nights. Tv didn't work. Hair dryer stopped working. Felt very unsafe.

The location is good and the room is clean.

However, the cleaner sprays too much cheap air perfume in the room that makes the room have a very strong and uncomfortable smell. That probably all chemical stuff and not good for heath. Besides, the window cannot open and you have to turn on the air-conditioner. That's ok. Yet, the problem is the machine is so LOUD that you seem to sleep at a place with construction work beside. If you are a light sleeper, I bet you cannot sleep well here.

Interior was pretty stylish, it's Holywood, babe;) And I've met great neighbors, we talked at terrace for hours, hope to see ya, guys!)

Bathroom was very squeezy. Table top was 'sticky', not sure when last cleaned. We have stayed in lots of hotels in this price bracket and this would rate among the lowest quality.

Excellent location,

Great location for our short stay, I would recommend it as a base a few days visiting. Clean motel. Felt safe and well run. Helpful office staff. 7-11 convenience store next door. Coin laundry too. Marvellous. Takeout pizza / mexican / chinese just over the road. On the second block north of Hollywood Boulevard. A little run down nearby but that's Hollywood. Touristy once you hit Hollywood blvd.
