Score from 63 reviews Very good
Location, dog friendly, pleasant helpful front desk, nice diner right across street, reasonable rates, clean bedding and towels.
Traffic noise all night, carpeting was kind of gross, A/C unit worked but was deteriorating, bathroom very small.
The man at the front desk was very nice.
The smell of mildew disguised by plug-in air freshener was overwhelming.
The staff was very nice.
It seemed like the room had been cleaned thoroughly every time we returned (we stayed 4 nights)
The place was so run down. Everything looked original. From the wall air conditioning unit that had seen it's better days in the 70's to the black velvet painting over the bed of two tigers. There was visibly poorly caulked areas in the living area near the bathroom and the room was very humid even with the air conditioner running. I had a very hard time sleeping. One night a neighbor used the microwave at 3:30am and the beeping woke me up like it was in our room. It was inexpensive, BUT I have paid as much for a modern motel that had brunch included.
Room was very clean. We arrived late after work to be there in time for a wedding the next day, so we were happy that they are there 24 hours to check in!
Said there was wifi, but it never worked so I couldn't check my work email. Website showed that rooms had hair dryers, but mine didn't. Air conditioner looked as though it could fall out of the window at any second. Had to struggle with door lock because it wasn't sturdy. Wish the curtain had two layers so that natural light could be let in without giving up privacy.
The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and welcoming. For the amount you pay you get what you pay for just your basic room nothing overly special.
The initial smell entering the room had a cigarette smell for being a non-smoking room.
The room was clean.
No snack vending machines for the kids.
My 4 requierements were met : cleanliness - good mattress and beds - hot shwoer with proper pressure and friendly staff.
Good spot for the money
Lack of outlets in the restroom
Dropping son at PSU. Around half hour to State College.
the motel was easy to find, the staff were friendly and helpful. the unit was clean, but nothing special. I would certainly stay there again for a one night stop-over.
