This property is a very old basic motel. The location is walking distance to light rail/bus station, although it was 105 degrees in the shade. The room was ok in size and layout and the bathroom was quite good. The staff were helpful and willing to please. Even offered to give us another room with better carpet even though we hadn't complained.
This motel needs new carpet and new linen to meet basic expectations. There are no restaurants or shops of any kind within walking distance although McDonalds is across the street.
The Staff really seemed to try and make the best out of a bad hotel. I wish I could've given a better review to help them out. It's not their fault the place is so bad.
There is no ice machine and the AC takes forever to cool the room, even on high. Not good a good thing in Phx. The rooms seemed really run down and dirty. I didn't dare try the shower. The TV had no remote. The wifi was slow. My sheets had stains on them.
The people are super nice. The rooms are easily accessible. Very close to downtown Phoenix (Convention Center, Sports Arena, etc.). The price is great.
The rooms and bed/bedding are old and not the most comfortable.
The price and the friendly service.
The location was a little iffy, but I felt perfectly safe on property.
This is not hotel - this is a hostel.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was located within reasonable walking distance of everything downtown.
It is located just a little outside of "comfortable" downtown, with run-down buildings near it. That said, I didn't have any problems.
Staff is very friendly and helpful, very nice people, thanks them! Good Internet access and comfortable parking.
Awful location - I was scared to walk to the hotel in the evening, the furniture and bed are too old, so old that it is difficult to feel if they are clean or not. I decided to change the hotel after 2 nights spent there.
nice staff taxi service wifi
carpet floor does not look very safe neighbourhood suspicious
Staff was friendly and they had taxi service on site.
Shower was missing many tiles. Shower head was below my head.
Room was small. Bed was uncomfortable.
One of the cheaper options downtown. Staff was friendly. Close to some attractions. Not as fancy as some but good enough for our needs.
Only motel I've stayed at that one has to put down a twenty dollar deposit and you get it back after they inspect the room before you leave. We passed!
Room was clean. Bright light in bathroom, microwave, TV, refer and air conditioner worked very well. Comfortable bed. Staff was very nice.
warm water but no hot water, toilet didn't work very well, no phone in room, water didn't drain in bathtub, no plugs in sink or bathtub. Had to have door open to have light in the room. At night, not enough light in room to read, do paperwork, etc.
The staff was excellent
The shower head is about 5 ft. And so am I which made things awkward. A taller person would be quite upset. Our towels were replaced daily by housekeeping but they were thin and appeared to be dirty.
Filthiest place I have ever been to. Didn't even stay there it was so bad.
Checked in at 6:30 pm and the room wasn't ready. Key didn't Open door
They did not have my booking. In spite of the fact that I had my paperwork with me. The only room they had left was a smoking room that was very smokey. I could only stay in it.
A comfortable bed
Very basic and the shower was out of control.
They had a mini fridge and q microwave and breakfast
I didnt like how I couldnt stay longer.
WI-FI did not work properly; I was told they were going to get it fixed but it never happened. Fridge was very noisy. The toilet flush didn't work properly. Decoration very shabby. No option for non-smoker room.
I only can say stay away from this place .Poor service , dirty and Cont. Breakfast is a big joke. Once more STAY AWAY
Quiet environment !
Staircase was dirty & unkempt ! Breakfast should have more options e.g tea No soccer channel for those that love soccer No bright lights in the room
The staff was genuinely friendly and tried to be helpful. It did appear that they were attempting to upgrade some things.
This motel is located on the most crime-ridden street in Phoenix (found out AFTER my stay)! The shuttle from the airport couldn't find the name of the motel in their system, and had to go off of the street address I gave them - that was the first red flag. Before I was dropped off, one of the passengers (a Phoenix resident) advised me to get a room somewhere else and not to go out alone! There is barbed wire on top of the fence surrounding the parking lot! I was advised more than once to not go out by myself after dark. The bedding was yellow and the spread very dirty; there was no soap; no washcloths; no phone; no clock, and the door didn't lock! My friend a few rooms down killed a cockroach in her room, and for some reason, the wall and headboard were being repainted right before she checked in at 5:30pm!!?? It was truly a very, scary experience!
Location was ok..front staff was nice. The car was fenced in so I didnt worry about it
The room was disgusting. I didnt want to touch anything. The air conditioner was warm and the window did not even latch closed. Not safe
This was the worst experience I have ever had! Do not stay here! Driving up to the motel, I couldn't believe what we had gotten ourselves into. It was nothing like the pictures online. We didn't get there until 5:30pm and although checkin was said to be at 2pm, our room still wasn't ready. They told us they would rush to get it done and I said it was okay to take their time. I honestly wanted everything cleaned as much as possible. I work at an old hotel so I understand that sometimes things go wrong but I have never been this grossed out and let down. As we were waiting for our room another couple went up to their room and later walked right back out will all of their bags and left. I wish we could have done this but since it was high season we could not afford to have paid the $100 for this hotel and get another for $300 since that's all we could find last minute. So we were stuck in the room and after checking it all out I thought about just sleeping in the car! However, the neighborhood didn't seem like it was safe area so I probably wouldn't have gotten anymore sleep in the car. It was unbelievable how poorly kept it was. The door seemed like it was falling apart, the room smelled bad, the bed didn't look all that clean and furniture was scratched and very old. I though it was odd that there were only 3 pillows and only 2 towels when I had checked in 2 guests would be in the room. The bathroom was falling apart. The baseboards looked like they had water damage, the shower ceiling looked like it had a big hole that was covered up with white tape. The towels were awful because they were very small and had stains. There were two things that bothered me the most by far, there was blood on the mirror and maggots in the bed! The blood was small but in no way is that okay to be left by housekeeping, I circled it with soap so it wouldn't be left their for the next guest. However, I would suggest no one staying at this motel!
Staff were really friendly and helpful. Near downtown (walking distance). Room was clean. For one night the perfect option.
