Efficiency and helpfulness of staff. Assistance in reaching local service through hotel shuttle service
Stayed 1 night , requested quiet room because of early 4a.m. wakeup for 5a.m. shuttle to airport....hotel was not full, lots of available rooms.
I was placed in a room next door to several guys that came in at 12a.m. and stayed up talking and laughing loudly....I reported 2x to front desk that did nothing about it.....I could not go back to sleep after being woke up at 12a.m.....terrible night, would not stay here again
The airport shuttle was convenient and efficient.
Free hot breakfast had good variety
- TV reception is poor - Breakfast seating area can get very crowded at breakfast time. - Breakfast area could be better organized; - i.e. having drinking cups by the juice jugs
the room is huge bed is comfortable you can do a lot of freaky stuff in there I think I made a baby that night
This motel provided an excellent location for exploring San Francisco, a very good breakfast and staff kept the food up to date with fresh food as it was eaten and kept the tables cleared so that there was no waiting time to have breakfast. The lobby also provided small biscuits etc. and fresh coffee which was handy for a quick snack when required.
This motel let us down by first not having a remote control for the TV and when we mentioned it to the receptionist she shrugged her shoulders, as if to say, "What do you want me to do about it?" A male attendant near the counter immediately went and found a remote but it did not work. We again mentioned it to the girl on the front counter who then stated, "Just use the buttons on the side of the set." The next day we were taken to the Bart station and told to ring when we needed to be picked up. On our return we rang the motel and was informed they would pick us up in 5 to 10 minutes. Some 25 to 30 minutes later they arrived. The Bart station is 1 mile away. The next day the same thing happened when the promised time was again 5 to 10 minutes but the waiting time extended out to nearly 45 minutes this time. The Quality Inn shuttle called in three times and picked up their guests during this time. In that time we could have walked to the motel and back to the Bart station. The day we checked out we requested that the stay be recorded on our Best Western Rewards Account but the receptionist refused to extend this courtesy to us. We later phoned Best Western Rewards Centre and they apologised and awarded us our points. This is a nice motel but the staff we struck just did not care and we felt that we were a nuisance to their day and were not wanted here and we were pleased to be rid of this Best Western. If you wish to be ignored and treated as nuisance in the staff's day, please stay but if not, stay somewhere else in the area. ie Quality Inn etc. as at least they picked up their guests from the Bart Station three times while we waited.
our room was spotless hotel was quiet kids enjoyed making their own waffles
Area, a lot of homeless/ bums stopping you for change on the parking lot of the hotel city tax is ridiculously high breakfast could be better
The front door staff was friendly and accommodating.
The breakfast assistant was not helpful, and was rude when I pointed out there was no more sausage or coffee. She pointed out it was close to 9:00 when breakfast shuts down. But there were many more guest that showed up after us, I'd say close to 6 or 8. I suggest making allowances for how busy breakfast is and accommodate the guest that do show up around 9. Or at least ask if they are missing something. I am a tipper. I tipped the front desk and the cleaning staff but did not give one to the breakfast person. Another person had said the same, he was not leaving a tip.
It's clean, comfortable, good value. Breakfast was good
The pool location
Quiet and clean place
Parking is limited!
clean room, comfy bed.
The staff was not the most pleasant before we got there and the info. was different depending on the person you talked to. Also the ice makers were not working anywhere.
The room was a good size and clean.
The wifi kept cutting out, and was not fast enough to watch a video.
Access to the airport and the shuttle service
The room was very clean. The pool was a nice size and well maintained. Breakfast was plentiful with a nice variety.
it's a bit lost in the middle of nowhere. But they had a great shuttle service.
I really liked the indoor pool n Jacuzzi. With four small noisy Children im glad we didnt receive any complaints, which. Made us feel more comfortable.
Wish their was more to do near the hotel
Beds were great. 4 pillows per bed was great.
Parking spaces were too narrow.
1) selections for complimentary breakfast. 2) availability of pool, hot tub, and fitness room 3) mattress
1)television controls were difficult to operate. 2) the tv station with Olympics on did not come in - all static. 2) locked out of room (safety latch on from cleaning or from tv repair) - although we were assisted in getting into the room by staff, the safety latch was broken. we were told it would be replaced the next day and it was not.
The breakfast buffet was very good. The staff was very helpful,The pool and jacuzzi were both very clean. It was close to O Co where we saw the supercross races, about 1 mile away.
The Carrows restaraunt that is close by is terrible, bad food, bad service. The area isn't very inviting that surrounds the motel, Warehouse district, graffiti, Gangstas.
The reception staff really went out of their way to help us, ranging from giving our daughter a goody bag with a bottle of water, granola bars, and chips, to sending a shuttle to the car rental shuttle. They were more helpful than the staff in a lot of five-star hotels.
The location is off of the main strip on Hegenberger and you have to be comfortable with the surroundings.
Room was nice size an pretty clean for the price. Desk guy was helpful.
Its in the ghetto almost..
Comfort of the bed. Staff was helpful and friendly.
I was accosted 3 separate times in the parking lot by panhandlers who approached me in the dark at my car. This is the first time I have not felt safe at this hotel. Something must be done about security otherwise I will have to find a different hotel to stay at while in Oakland.
