During chek-in i booked parking pass for 2 night. But at the second night (Dec-10) manager Margaret refused me in the parking lot. She explained that they have only 2 parking place, my car was 3rd. After it she gave me adress for commercial garage (i paid 24 USD). Next morning i found that parking 3 cars on hotels front is normal. Morning manager confirmed me this situation and adviced write claim to support.
Parking very little
I love me some Best Western Arena. I stay here everytime. The Staff are lovely and get it just right. Polite but not over bearing. Room, breakfast, everything is perfect. I be back. :O)
There is nothing to dislike. Everything is Perfect :O)
Clean room, staff was very nice
Loud at night, breakfast over very early
Every thing was good
The helpful friendly staff
The hotel area after dark
Staff were friendly, we had tickets to the game at Barclays Centre and it was perfect location a 30 min walk but an easy walk. Beds were comfy.
Area is a little dodgy but getting a cab was easy.
Free breakfast, wi-fi, location, friendly staff, especially the breakfast attendant, who was very helpful. I also liked the fact they let me do early check-in & 24 hour front desk.
Despite allowing me early check-in, the room wasn't ready because the people before me were still there when I arrived when they should've been out of there an hour & a half earlier. Knowing in advance I'd requested early check-in, it would've been nice if they'd insisted those people get out of the room before I got there. Had to wait about 40 minutes to get access to my room when I needed to be somewhere else. Would be nice if they had the breakfast floor open at night for small meals or sandwiches.
The staff was very friendly - way better than "typical" New Yorkers and what we have experienced other places we have stayed in NYC over the years.
Area was a bit 'seedy' but we didn't feel unsafe at any time we were there. Definitely off the beaten path, but great proximity to the A, C train.
Staff, Breakfast area, Security.
Lack of adequate PARKING..(5 spaces) for hotel with 56 rooms....had to request other options and PAID for off site parking. All materials do NOT indicate this limitation clearly as an additional COST of your stay..decreased the overall value to expection level.
Rooms at back of building very quiet..no outside noise when all windows closed.Very helpful and friendly staff..Good Breakfast
Had no car but if had only 8-10 spots on property to park. Get referred to garage parking just a couple of blocks away or can park on Atlantic Ave in next block overnight...JUST Read street signs to make sure parked legal time will be parking
The staff was awesome, the beds were great, the place was quiet and impeccably clean, and all within a stone's throw to anything you could want to do!
I am gluten free and usually can find something to eat in the morning. The continental breakfast was very limited in that regard.
The inside of the hotel was nice. Clean rooms with all amenities. Breakfast was good with pancakes, eggs, cereal and pastries. Air conditioning.
Bad neighborhood and street noise.
Two blocks from subway
Long Island Railroad on same street so if you have street facing room you'll hear the train all night. Asked front desk to order taxi to take us to JFK they called private company that charged $55 taxi from airport to Hotel was $38.
Easy access with Metro lines Clean Good staff Good breakfast
There is a lower level, ask for a upper level room Rooms looking to road side is quite noisy, especially train noise is heavy
Friendly staff Adequate continental breakfast Nice amenities in room Surprisingly quiet room
Location--not many restaurants, businesses nearby
Not far from Subway lines A and C which provides good transport though all of Manhattan and convenient transport to JFK with Subway A and change to AirTran at Howard Beach JFK station. Breakfast was quite good. Hotel was clean and the beds were convenient. Having microwave in the room was useful, there are no plates though. Good cable TV.
Everything in the hotel makes noise - ventilation, the way water draws from the bath, train behind the window, ppl in corridor... Surrounding is not very pleasant. We did not find it dangerous though (mostly thanks to heavy presence of police officers in the area), but it was quite dirty.
the hotel was very comfortable . The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful . I felt quite at home. It was difficult to figure out places to eat though . I finally found a couple of very nice places with great food t and gave the information to the front desk so that they could recommend them to other guests. I also liked the parking in the back for free . I didn't know that that could happen in NY. That was really a nice accommodation .
it was a little intimidating to browse around the neighborhood at first. There's a lot of trash and rundown buildings. I was determined though to explore so I did, and I felt very comfortable. Everybody doesn't do that easily nor wants to.
My room was near the front desk. I heard people talking all night and it disturbed my sleep
Air Conditioning Quiet Nights Clean
Not the most scenic location Marginal immediate neighborhood
The staff is very good. The breakfasts are very good and necessary since there is nowhere else to eat the isn't a walk through what is a marginal neighborhood.
This not a good area of Brooklyn. There are only about nine parking spots. If they fill up you may never see your car again if you have to street park.
Location Checkin was smooth. Ammenities
At check out, There were two women at the counter and a guest and I came out the elevator at same time. He went first to extend his stay. When she was done, she did not say anything to me until i said i was checking out. Which was a couple of minutes later. The other women did not help me but said hi.
Good breakfast Good location Near to Subway
Cleanliness was not impressive. Double room size was small Area not clean
