Easy access with Metro lines Clean Good staff Good breakfast
There is a lower level, ask for a upper level room Rooms looking to road side is quite noisy, especially train noise is heavy
Friendly staff Adequate continental breakfast Nice amenities in room Surprisingly quiet room
Location--not many restaurants, businesses nearby
Not far from Subway lines A and C which provides good transport though all of Manhattan and convenient transport to JFK with Subway A and change to AirTran at Howard Beach JFK station. Breakfast was quite good. Hotel was clean and the beds were convenient. Having microwave in the room was useful, there are no plates though. Good cable TV.
Everything in the hotel makes noise - ventilation, the way water draws from the bath, train behind the window, ppl in corridor... Surrounding is not very pleasant. We did not find it dangerous though (mostly thanks to heavy presence of police officers in the area), but it was quite dirty.
the hotel was very comfortable . The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful . I felt quite at home. It was difficult to figure out places to eat though . I finally found a couple of very nice places with great food t and gave the information to the front desk so that they could recommend them to other guests. I also liked the parking in the back for free . I didn't know that that could happen in NY. That was really a nice accommodation .
it was a little intimidating to browse around the neighborhood at first. There's a lot of trash and rundown buildings. I was determined though to explore so I did, and I felt very comfortable. Everybody doesn't do that easily nor wants to.
My room was near the front desk. I heard people talking all night and it disturbed my sleep
Air Conditioning Quiet Nights Clean
Not the most scenic location Marginal immediate neighborhood
The staff is very good. The breakfasts are very good and necessary since there is nowhere else to eat the isn't a walk through what is a marginal neighborhood.
This not a good area of Brooklyn. There are only about nine parking spots. If they fill up you may never see your car again if you have to street park.
Location Checkin was smooth. Ammenities
At check out, There were two women at the counter and a guest and I came out the elevator at same time. He went first to extend his stay. When she was done, she did not say anything to me until i said i was checking out. Which was a couple of minutes later. The other women did not help me but said hi.
Good breakfast Good location Near to Subway
Cleanliness was not impressive. Double room size was small Area not clean
Clean, well appointed, pleasant staff, good wifi
Scary location for women traveling alone - did not make use of public transit, because of the neighborhood, and had high taxi expenses, as a result. Super noisy from nearby train, even though room had double windows. Some of the noise was the train, some from other rooms, some from cleaning staff. Very tightly furnished room - had about 1' space next to a bed to squeeze through to get to bathroom. Free continental breakfast was so-so, especially with one of the travelers needing to eat gluten free (but what do you expect for free?).
entrance / lobby !
Power by bed did not work Lady's of the night walking around out side. they say on site parking ,they have 5spots and they have you go down a block to a garage and you have to pay to park . They was no help in the fact of my husband is disabled and they said first cone fist serve to park..
- The personnel all the time was helpful - Two blocks netx to the subway or bus - Free WIFI - Super commfy bed - Nice cable and tv - 2O min ride to lower Manhattan in the express train
- Next to the hotel, in some abandoned places are rats. We had to step out of the sidewalk - The are is safe, but at midnight its a little bit scary - The safe did not work - The rooms netx to the street are a little bit noisy - Poor breakfast
Hotel is nice but neighborhood iffy.
Location - Very convenient - a couple blocks from the A/C trains, and steps from the LIRR, near shopping and restaurants. A couple miles from Downtown Brooklyn, Ft. Green, and Manhattan Staff- friendly, professional, courteous, efficient Price - lot cheaper than Manhattan Free Breakfast and Wi-Fi - money savers! Facility - comfortable room with updated décor
Room was on the first floor facing Atlantic Avenue. The first floor is noisy during the morning hours. Also, the LIRR trains pull in and out of the station on a regular basis. The immediate area is on the rough side. The hotel is surrounded by auto repair shops.
The great professional and friendly staff. The location was great for subway access.
This is nothing under your control but the surrounding buildings are in need of some TLC. This unfortunately makes your building look not inviting but I appreciate that you put a pretty planter box in front of your main entrance.
hotel was comfortable. Staff was excellent, very helpful and caring. Would stay there again.
Not very convenient to restaurants. A lot of construction.
nice, accommodating staff. room was clean
rats in alley next door. not so great for walking at night
Fast check-in nice rooms microwave and fridge in each room. Clean quiet had a pleasant stay.
There was chocolate on the ground from before us
The hotel offered everything one would need for a pleasant stay. The staff were very nice, the included breakfast very satisfactory and amenities clean and well kept. My room was big. Really big. Which was a welcome change from the overpriced shoe box size rooms in Manhattan. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from Norstrand station which gives you access to the A and C lines and a nice stroll (at least 20 minutes from the Brooklyn Museum).
The location. I had a hard time finding it at first. The area is a little shady past sundown but the service and amenities in the hotel made up for it.
Kind and helpfull staff.
Staff was very helpful. Location to subway was good.
Alot of people would be turned off by the neighborhood. Room was a little small.
