This motel was clean and in a very convenient location.I felt the staff was attentive. It is near a number of good restaurants and getting downtown was an easy drive.
The coffee pot did not work properly, nor did the second one that they promptly delivered to the room.We got around it by making coffee in the microwave, but they might want to try a different model coffee maker. Everything else worked fine.
The facility and location were both perfect. The breakfast was delicious, and it all made our trip, taking our daughter to college, a little easier.
Something in my room bit me several times, in the night... and caused substantial pain and itching for the past three days. I'm better now, but don't understand what this could have been.
We had no issues and were pleased.
- Close proximity to historic district - Affordable room rate - Clean room - Comfy beds - Included hot breakfast
- Outside appearance could use some sprucing up
pool was clean. staff was very helpful.
meals were not desirable.
Breakfast was fine, staff was kind, very clean grounds and although the place is somewhat dated, our room was clean and freshly painted. Tour trolley stop right there, so very convenient.
Comfortable, cool, beds were great
BreakfSt. Very good
Cock roaches !
location, cost, excellent staff
overflowing trash cans outside where we walked, almost all spaces seemed "cramped" (bathroom, parking lot, pool area)
I thought the staff really did make the difference. Everyone, even the cleaning service, was very courteous and genuinely nice. The room was very clean, though a bit used feeling. The breakfast was large and standard fare, fresh scrambled eggs, sausage, muffins and such. The coffee was good. And the eating area was clean and cozy.
The property is a bit older, which shows. It is a motel/hotel, so the rooms all face outside, meaning that it is a chancy situation to open the curtains. But, that's just the design, and some people find it appealing. The area is typical Savannah, meaning the next street over is oak-lined, and filled with classic homes and rich people. The hotel is across from a car dealer, though. When we pulled up to our room, a couple sat in cheap plastic chairs in front of their room smoking. Yes, the man even sported a dirty wife-beater. Pretty stereotypical. It was not a good introduction to the place. That said, I never heard a single noise from anyone all night and next morning, the nice breakfast really brightened up my mood.
Good location. Close to lots of stores.
Mattresses needed to be replaced. Not firm and squeaky. In one corner of the room, the carpet did not meet the wall. There was a lot of dirt collected in that corner.
Pillows were uncomfortable Breakfast was marginal. Staff was not very friendly and spoke little English. Ran out of items and did not replenish.
Breakfast was really good, nice room, and the location was fine. Would stay there again.
the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. My room was in a quite part of the hotel as requested.
the electrical switch located at the vanity was not working. I accidentally left my phone charger and called the hotel the same day I left and ask that the room be checked and the charger sent to me. I was assured that if the charger was found it would be sent, the clerk also stated that the room had not been checked since I left, but that it takes at least 2-3 days for things to be turned in to lost and found. It has been almost two weeks now and I have yet to receive the charger and no update from the hotel. This is something I am not use to, next time I will stay downtown near the River Front.
ease of booking breakfast
busy street location
It's located next to the airport and army base, and so we heard aircraft flying in and out all night.
Price, courteous and helpful staff, accommodating to our needs, super breakfast, good location to all points, cleanliness
a pan handler solicited us late at night for money in our room. One time affair. He was reported to staff.
I did like the price of the hotel, obviously it was way cheaper compared to staying inside of the historic district.
I did not appreciate being panhandled out side of the hotel room as we were walking up to our room. The hotel has a series of cameras around the location and you can see the monitor when you check into the hotel which is fine it gave me a heads up to the activity in the area. There were a lot of seedy individuals loitering in and around the area. Also a lot of banging on walls and loitering outside of hotel rooms. I know that this is a vacation spot, however I did noticed some of the locals liked to hang around that area as well. Maybe because lots of people traveling from other areas??
Great value for the money. Easy to find and close to lots of restaurants and shopping.
The location was excellent. Clean rooms.
Staff was not friendly at all and not was not told how to connect to wi-fi if needed. Was not informed of free breakfast either. Did not speak or offer a thank you when checking out.
Hair....long and black...in towels and tub; toilet dirty; lumpy carpet with stains. The air conditioner worked but cycled off and on loudly all night making sleep difficult. Thinking about the long black hair in the tub didn't help. Also, if I hadn't paid close attention and told the desk clerk, I would have been charged $12 more.
AC broke and sold out so no other rooms available. No discount for inconvenience
Comfortable beds and pool
Bathrooms not the cleanest Stuck in beach traffic
