Free breakfast Comfortable bed Safe
Pool was small My room looked out over kitchens and McDonald's but the hotel boasted river views!
Close proximity to downtown
Reasonable price compared to the downtown. Swimming pool. Free parking. Free bus to town (not provided by hotel).
Extremely noisy air-conditioning which meant we had to turn it off at night. Noisy and unappealing location. Tiny pool towels. Overcrowded breakfast area and unappetising breakfast with shortages of food and cutlery. Had to eat my cereal with a fork.
Or garbage trucks. When we tried to turn on air to drown out noise, the AC unit was right next too my husband head. No one should be put in that room who expects to sleep.
no microwave or refrigerator. bed uncomfortable. drink vending machines out of products all weekend. air conditioner very loud and was not able to turn the fan down. dining area for breakfast was crowded and right next to check in desk . food wasn't good. coffee urns constantly being filled. elevator slow. luggage carts bad, one was held together by giant zipties!
Staff, breakfast, bed.
Noise of air conditioning unit.
This city rates as one of the best places I've ever visited. From the historic district to the many fine stores and restaurants, every minute was well spent.
The heat and humidity are also world class, but tolerable. On balance, the beauty of the city and the overall charm of the place made for a most enjoyable weekend.
Extremely friendly staff Free parking Pretty good breakfast
The rooms are quite comfortable and well equipped. They are too dark though. Lights should be added. Also, hooks or towel stands would help.
A bit far out from the center of Charleston
Easy access to MUSC
Everything ok, except foyer was a bit chilly.
A/c very noisy all night and cold on the person nearest the a/c.
breakfast should have been a lot more longer, it was from 8 o'clock to 9:30am I would like it to be extended to about maybe 10:00am or 11:00am. When in travel on vacation I don't want to get up that early to eat breakfast little more time would have been good for me.
Sliding glass door was not straight on frame. The cost went up on Friday night to almost double.
The location is very close to downtown and to the beach. The staff was very nice.
Internet was very slow. For such nice hotel, I expected it to be much faster.
It was within walking distance of Roper Hospital and close to the Charleston Historic District. Not to mention free parking!
The breakfast area was extremely crowded in the morning.
Clean, comfortable and as expected. No complaints
Proximity to historic district a bit further than anticipated
Very nice hotel
Staff very helpful. Free tea and coffee. Large beds. Closeness to trolley stop.
Very noisy aircon. The first night we had a room above the laundry and it was like being inside a noisy washing machine!
Comfortable stay with a good breakfast. 1 washer and dryer on site for customers, which worked out well for us but I could see where there may be a lot of waiting time if others wanted to use it.
The pool was a little deep for younger children. It was 4-8 feet. The hotel was a little pricey.
Free parking (1 of the few places to still park free in Charleston), and ample overflow parking for large vehicles. Taxi fares about the same as most parking fees and the hotel is just over a mile from the historic district.
Bathroom is small, but functional.
There's a free bus network operating around the city with a stop near the car park entrance.
Has the feel of a hostel in and around the lobby area
The location was perfect for Matriculation day at the Citadel. Convenient to the historic district and all the great Charleston Restaurants.
We booked 2 adjoining rooms, but the hotel billed them separately. The clerk ran my credit card 6 times, which of course cause VISA to decline everything, and I had to use a different card. Included breakfast started too late in the morning. (There is a McDonald's right next door). Parking is just like everywhere else...Limited!
The staff was friendly and the hotel was close to downtown.
Hotel was clean and comfortable breakfast was very good
staff could have been friendlier and more helpful, A/C kept us up all night clicking on and off all night very loud.
