We liked when we could use the pool/facilities next door. Our family will not be staying here again.
We stay here for the use of the pool/facilities at the Countryside Holiday Inn next door. You should have warned us it was no longer available.
Excellent breakfast, friendly staff, comfortable bed.
You need to have a car if you choose to stay here.
Bed one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept on.
Hot water a big problem. Had to run water for several minutes before getting warm water in sink or shower. Then only got about 3 minutes before it turned cold again. Had to rinse off in cold water!
- Close to Chicago - Easy access - Large parking - Free wi-fi
- Noise of the fridge in the room - Noise coming from the glass machine outside the room! - Walls so thin that you hear when your neighbor goes to the toilet or have a shower! - Very poor breakfast (everybody the same) - Can't use my BestWestern Rewards card because I've booked from booking.com!!!
big size room, good room service, friendly staf, thanks
need some modernisation.
Very good hotel! The Bedroom was very confirtable and excelente breakfast!
- bad smell in the bathroom - our room smelled smoke although our room was smoke free - wi fi was so poor
Clean, conveinent to wedding.
At 6:00am heard a being sound like a truck backing up. Thought it was garbage man. Well it continues for hours! Turns out to be window washers!! At 6:00 am?! Really! I came there to sleep! Way to early, stay that after 10:00 am next time!
the over all cleanliness
The exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't work. show time had boxing on it most of the time. not a fan
Hot breakfast included.
Clean and spacious room, 24 hour complementary coffee, breakfast
Too far from the Loop. Metra line is close, but only once per hour.
The staff was really useful and kind, the breakfast is ok.
Price, one or two nice employees, breakfast included.
Unwillingness of staff to correct double authorization to our account (funds for 6 nights held from our account vs 3). Polite attempts to contact manager, Jay, were ignored repeatedly. We asked 4 times to have him call us while we were enjoying our first visit to Chicago, but we never received one. Cleaning staff knocked on door at 8:30 am to check if we wanted to have our room cleaned for the day. (?!) If that didn't wake us up, the cleaning supply room door was opened and slammed shut enough times to wake the living dead. Breakfast hours are over at 9 on weekdays and 10 on weekends (?!). I overheard a guest asking about depleted sausage links half an hour before the already early brkfst cut-off, and the response was that they were out, and that it happens all the time. My feeling about this hotel is that customers come last here. Hopefully you are fortunate to fit into this hotel's idea of what a guest is, but if not, there will be no consideration for you. We travel a lot (but never with Best Western), and this hotel tarnished our view of that chain. I will never stay at a Best Western again if this is how they treat their 'guests'.
Good BW standard.
Not heathy hot choices for breakfast. Indoor should be refreshed.
Room size waa excellent
I was staying because I missed my flight and all of my toiletries were in my checked bagage. The front desk staff were very helpful and gave me 2 toothbrushes, toothpaste and a comb. Very kind and helpful! They also let me use a phone charger since mine was stuck on the plane.

Distance from downtown
Everything was great
WiFi connection was too slow
Convenient location, comfortable room.
As stated in your questions, the hotel was indeed extremely convenient since all our family members live just down the street. I could park my car at one my daughter's house and walk two blocks to train station to go downtown. A very good way to save money on parking, which is very expensive. Staff was very pleasant and hotel was clean and beds very comfortable as well.
The only bad thing about this hotel is the almost constant slamming of doors, but more so in the early morning while breakfast is served or when guests exited their rooms. While some of the blame has to fall upon those guests that show no consideration, the problem really lies with the fact that the doors close automatically via the hinges very, very hard. Hence our suggestion to the front desk that they should invest at the very least in good auto closing mechanisms to abate the problem. We are not extremely noise sensitive, so this was indeed very annoying. If fixed, I would absolutely stay again next year
Almost everything was great
Breakfast on my 2nd morning finished half hour early. Not enough heathy hot choices for breakfast.
