They had a flood the night we checked in...The carbon monoxide alarm started going off at 2:30 am....then they moved us to another room on ground floor which was all flooded eeven in the room...No running water that night to take a shower or anything else.
Not sure if they able to do job properly ask for I'd and take photo copy and still link in inforation in correctly.
Has a slightly seedy air, room had faint smell of former smoker perhaps. Had to ask for blanket and it came with burn holes and hair stuck to it/
The beds were comfortable and the breakfast and dining room were above average.
Clean and quite
the smoke smell in the room
plenty of parking very good breakfast
The staff weren't efficient (took money off me that wasn't due) I hated using plastic plates/cutlery at breakfast The room door never seemed to close right The door key didn't work every time The place could have had a fresher smell/cleaner smell
It was fairly inexpensive
24 hrs shuttle service would b nice
Location staff Suttle service
Had to walk a while from the subway to get to the hotel
Cpmplimentary breakfast. Reserve now pay later. Paid in cash
Smoked smelling non-smoking rooms, floors, halls, pot smell in halls, smells from other machines in room. egg shells in breakfast in morning.
front desk staff was nice, got room changed for the next night when smoking smell was noticed.
1) Second floor is the smoking floor, and the odor is pervasive just stepping off the elevator. 2) the only elevator is s.l.o.w. 3) Breakfast is a little sketchy; a narrow selection of starches, one pan of "scrambled" eggs, and some bananas and apples.
Once we got switched from the second floor (smoking floor), our room was comfortable and clean and most staff are friendly and eager to please. Shuttle to the #7 train is easy to arrange, and then it's only about a 20 minute subway ride to 42nd St Manhattan.
The cleanliness. The first room I was given (Room 402) was dirty and smelly. Dirty on window panes that had not been cleaned for days or weeks. Peeling wall paper and must have been damp for a continuous period of time. I was moved to a slightly cleaner but also not so great room (302). Cleaning trolleys were left strewn on floors outside guestrooms - all day; messy dirty storage rooms were left open leaving unpleasant smells and also unsightly. The hotel is overdue for refurbishment, updating and needs new management. Falls way below Best Western brand standards I've experienced in other hotels.
Wi-Fi and location was not too bad. Close enough to Manhattan and La Guardia airport.
They sold the rm is booked very rude and nasty staff never again dirty Hotel
elevator needs updating
the bed and pillows great comfort
Considering we used the hotel as a place to sleep, it was an excellent value. Rooms were clean, free breakfast was good, staff was helpful and there was ample free parking. The free shuttle to subway was a plus. If you partied too late, the walk back from the 'number 7 40th street' wasn't too far.
blanket could have been thicker
very quiet due to the neighboring cemetery; perfect contrast for relaxing after a noisy city tour. Free parking is great. Pretty basic hotel, but you anyway want spend your time discovering NY. Ah, and the low price is a final plus.
distance from the city and shuttle service once a day
Long waiting for a shuttle (sometimes 45 min).
every things specially the staff (BIBI)
This hotel is old and in need of renovations it smells old and the free breakfast was horrible! This is not what I had expected from a Best Western! Would never stay here again, and will not select another Best Western!
It's quite far from the subway station. One of the staff told us we could make it in 10 min by walking, but it took us 20 min and we were walking very fast. The shuttle takes forever to arrive. If the staff tells you the shuttle is coming that probably means there's another 30 min wait. Although it's not like they're intentionally lying or anything, they just want to be reassuring. But it would be more helpful if they were a bit more realistic. Also the quality of the TV isn't very good, but it's watchable.
The staff are friendly and are willing to help. Room is clean, breakfast is not bad. Wi-Fi is accessible everywhere and has good internet speed. We could always find parking spots. The transportation isn't half bad: if you go to 40th-Lowery Station and take line 7, you can get to time square in 30 min and no transfer. The only thing is the hotel is a bit far from the subway station.
The location was not very convenient - it is a 15-20minute walk to the subway through a seemingly 'not so safe' area.
Rooms were comfortable. Good breakfast
Not the best surroundings
Dropping n pik up from sub station was nice n prompt
It's in a really run down part of Queens, subway access not so wonderful. Dirty area.
It was cheap and easy to get to. Parking was free and all but the day clerk were great help.
I like at all
This hotel is very closed to the good Irish restaurant. I love it
