Best Western City View Inn  

We appreciated the shuttle from the hotel to the subway station.

The website mentions there is a shuttle from lga airport to the hotel but it does not exist. The shuttle to the subway can only be taken 1x a day, either going there or coming back. The hotel staff was not very friendly / helpful in the beginning but got better after a couple of days.

Breakfirst was ok, room and bathroom are clean.

Very unfriendly staff, rooms were very cold, location is not ideal, one room is just allowed to use the free shuddle once a day.

We liked clean room,big bathroom and continental breakfast.

Hotel is too far from subway,neighbourhood is scary...Room was nice but stinked with cigarettes( should be non-smoking).Clerks are not helpful .Too expensive for that location!At night you have to take cab to get to hotel (30.00-40.00$ from Manhattan).They offer free shuttle to subway -yes,but only once a day ,in the morning.

How close it is to the main city

The room we stayed in on the fifth floor was horrible. There was one window and it was on the ceiling and there was no way to open up the blind to let sunlight in. Bathroom you could tell someone spraypainted the caulk around the tub to hide the black mildew that forms. Got a smoking room but no ashtrays at all had to ask for them. Seen they had a service shuttle that ran every 20 mins to the subway when asked about when the shuttle would be stopping by they told me they had to call them to come and I'd be better off walking 10 minuets carrying luggage all the way to the subway.

Large comfy beds and a faily quiet room ,Not to far a walk to the subway through an ok area to walk it takes around 15 to 20 minutes to get to Times Square on subway.

Where it is located put us off at first, there is I beleive the largest cemetry in the area 40 yards from the front entrance. Though the room we had didn't overlook it, the reception area is a bit run down though the staff were helpful. The breakfast wasn't much to get up for in particular the scrambled eggs weren't that nice. Suprisingly for New York either was the coffee. If you like bagels and waffles its ok cereals not much choice. We both felt that the place could do with some refurbishment. We visited in early May but if we visited in summer we would go elsewhere as the aircon was noisy and would have great difficulty sleeping with it on.

It was reasonable in price the room was nice

Jacuzzi was nice, decent breakfast, very fast and free wireless internet, quiet room.

We were first given a wrong room (smaller and without jacuzzi) even though the room type was very clearly stated in our reservation form. After mentioning we were reluctantly given the proper room, without any apologies. The personnel at the reception seemed completely bored.

People working in the Hotel and at the front desk was quite kind and welcoming most of the time.

Corridors are usually much dirty than the rooms, which are actually at a good average.

The housekeeping staff were very friendly (one Spanish lady in particular) and all but one of the reception staff (the young oriental guy was, by far, the best). Breakfast was ok, pretty bog standard. The hotel owner sorted out a problem that arose from too much money being pre-authorised from my bank very swiftly, which was good. The rooms were fairly comfortable, and clean.

One receptionist gave bad directions, resulting in my walking miles. I think she just couldn't be bothered so said whatever to get rid of me.

It was nice for the money

The low cost and the included breakfast.

The staff wasn't exactly welcoming and warm.

A 10 min du de la ligne 7 du subway Chambre propre au design un peu dépassé.

Rapport qualité prix correct mais un peu trop élevé mais c’est New York aussi
