location to where I needed to be, on site parking, wifi, second floor, breakfast, renovated property since my last stay, (3rd time) shower was new, room was big, checkin was great Oriental/Asian guy was great.
fan/ac didn't work in my room # 234 I told the front desk but it was to late maintence left for the day, it made the room very stuffy. Remote control didn't work for TV. Couch needs to be thrown out, don't like that you have to pay for parking now.
There location to downtown San Francisco
There unfufilled promise of no internet. There complicated receipt on check out that does not make sense to the customers
I thankfully got a room away from the busy street, but one of my collegues did not and had a horrible night with street noice level and lack of sound proofing of the rooms. Parking compared to city center hotels a plus.
Room was not very clean, bedding quality for the price of the hotel was very poor.
The rooms were clean and tidy the shower was ok not much pressure and just about warm enough
No wifi at all so found it a bit lonely for a couple of days when I got I'll also I got stung with a ridiculous rate over New Years I could of got a 5 star hotel cheaper
The price was OK, but honestly not cheap enough to validate the inadequacies.
-First impression: There was a homeless man obviously on drugs wondering the parking lot exposing himself. Since there are signs posted to park in the lot at your own risk, this was disturbing. What was more disturbing is that staff did nothing to stop him as he began wondering the halls. -The room smelled to the point of giving me a headache. I asked for a room change, they said it was not possible. -I actually found a crack pipe on the ground. How charming. -My friend stopped by before we went out. He had a service animal. Since we did not read the fine print about no pets allowed they charged me $100 even after I offered to provide proof that it was a service animal. -Staff was completely unhelpful.
Everything about it
* Near to downtown * Breakfast included
* Bad neighborhood * Free Wi-Fi does not work at all * Some of the staff was unfriendly and rude * This hotel has no smoking rooms even though it is offered as an option when booking
The rooms was very big and clean. Nice restroom as well.
They had no good places to eat anywhere close. We had to have everything deleverd in to the rooms at night to eat.
It had a nice comfortable bed, good parking, and was safe.
The staff was kind of clueless. They did not offer the room I booked, but made it work.
The room we stayed in was clean and the bed was okay. The staff was friendly.
The WiFI was terrible. It was somewhat noisy because of the traffic. Sometimes during the night it was noisy with people outside our room.
Good value for money
WiFi cut out for no reason no restuarants near by
The bed and the sofa
Clean room. Satisfactory breakfast. Close to downtown San Francisco.
We were awoken every night by loud tenants. The first night we were woken around 0200 by people conversing right outside our door. The second night we were awoken around 0300 by people upstairs singing Mulan's "Be a Man." Quite amusing, but not at 0300.
staffs, the room is clean, free parking
Value, location, staff
Definitely NOT high Speed Wi-Fi
no Wi-Fi in rooms at all. The channel was jammed all the time.
The price for a sf hotel is great and we only went to enjoy the sf Eagle and Lone Star so the location was perfect. It was only about an $8 Lyft ride to Castro.
Omfg! The Wi-Fi is the worst! It never appeared on 2 iPhones and an Android but appeared on two PCs. It connected only once in 6 days and only if I went to the pool area. I called many times to the front desk to ask if it was working or if there was a username/password I should be using and was always told it was open to all and working. I think the staff was tired of hearing complaints and just kept saying everything was ok. Just assume there is no Wi-Fi or create a hotspot from a 4g connection.
Location looks like a ghetto place...worst hotel ever! and if you arrive after 8pm there is no way you can check in and be able to enter the hotel since after 8.00pm it is locked!!! this should be stated after the name of the hotel!!!
The Civic Center Motor Inn is a great hotel if you are looking for a clean, safe place to sleep and get ready while in San Fran. If you are going for a hotel with all the bells and whistles this is not the place for you. Close to many attractions and right or close to many bus stop. It's the perfect place to stay if you want to see more of the city than your hotel room. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable.
The down side is the WIFI was shaky at best could really only get a good connection while sitting by the pool. The coffee both in the room and at breakfast was poor but there is a Starbucks just 2 blocks up. Beware of the check in time through no fault of their own but instead with Booking.com check in is at 3pm not 2pm as stated on booking. Though the staff was nice enough to find a room for my Mom and I at two instead of having us wait.
Breakfast OK - but finished by 9 a.m.
Location, noise, cramped room, unreliable wi-fi, awful shower; otherwise, no complaints!
wi-fi didn't work the guy at the reception desk couch was too dirty
The front desk girl not too friendly but cleaning and kitchen girl are very very nice and helpful:)
too much noise we can hear people talking from other rooms:(
the receptionist was really helpful.
the fact that the swimming pool was actually in the car park, there was no loo door, the area was bereft of restaurants etc, the room was very small and nothing like the photo.
- The price is good - The room is clean - The staff is friendly
- Location - you're right on the street, with absolutely no view (just a wall) - It's noisy, you need earplugs - You don't feel you're in a hotel. It feels like you just rented out a bed in an old cheap building. Anyone passing by can walk in front of your room. - The light in the room is too dim. - The WiFi is terrible. - There aren't enough power outlets. - The breakfast is very limited. - The bed and pillows are just okay. - You kinda feel uncomfortable in general being there.
