It was convenient and quite easy to find on our trip to a family reunion! Interesting to have it so close to the Railroad tracks! (Really not as noisy as expected it to be!)

I stayed one night in Desert Inn being on the way to Los Angeles. Stopping in Barstow is a great way to pass through Route 66 and I would recommend doing this bit passing through Seligman, Arizona on Route 66 as well. It's located in a typical american town. Nothing bad to say about the hotel. Noice spacious rooms, big bed, very clean room. Swimming pool looked clean as well.

Very clean, wonderful bedding and pillows. Great location and close to restaurants to choose from. I should have asked for a first floor room before check in. I am partially disabled, and don't do stairs very good. All first floor rooms were taken by the time we checked in.

Decent amount of space and would be possible to self cater on a limited basis Staff were unhelpful, particularly the catering/kitchen staff. Breakfast stocks were not replenished and as we were breakfasting at 9.00 (9.30 finish) we were faced with empty/half empty bowls of yogurts, cereal etc and had to ask the staff who were all huddled in the kitchen, gossiping and avoiding work. At 9.30 sharp the door to the breafast area was locked and I needed to ask one of the staff to let me out! On checking in I asked for a quiet room and was allocated a ground floor room, nearest to the roadway/busy trainline and next door to the gym-needless to say I asked to be moved as this is not my definition of quiet!

Personalet I receptionen var professionelle. De var venlige og imødekommende. Kunne ikke være bedre. Morgenmaden og omgivelsene var overmåde ringe. Betjeningen var elendig. Surhed og ligegyldighed. Støjniveauet fra Klimaanlægget på værelset var meget støjende - kunne ikke lade det køre om natten.

Prima hotel, vooral als je bedenkt dat Barstow een klein gat is. Uitstekende ligging als je op doorreis bent van LA naar Las Vegas. De kamer is schoon en lekker ruim. Zeer vriendelijk personeel. Helaas, zwembad werd gerenoveerd, dus geen oordeel. Ontbijt is een lachertje, of je moet warm lopen voor een Belgium Waffel en cornflakes.
