Friendly staff. Location. Easy connection to Dulles
It is good value for the money. The location is good. The staff was very kind. If you like to walk this hotel is relatively close to the White House and other interesting places..
Children lacked swimming pool. The first time we tried to locate hotel, we missed it altogether. We were looking for dark blue canopy instead it was rather dull grayish. Front pavement with loose stones is very hazardous especially when carrying luggage.
Staff Parking Near to city
Icing machine Outsider our room was too loud I had to ASK for more bed covers because we were 2 couples and booked the room with a Couch.
Hotel located a little way out of the main centre but close enough to walk or catch bus into main centre. Hop on/Hop off bus stop a short walk away and the bus is recommended so you can find your bearings as there is so much to see in Washington, local eateries provide a great variety so no need to go downtown. Hotel room comfortable with a Breakfast to suit everyone needs.
Location was superb!
Had a great time in dc .Love love love my room
The rooms are big, there is a lot of space for the guests. Staff is good.
Everything is too old, including carpets, rooms, and the breakfast is not good.
Location and inclusive breakfast
For the price, better alternatives available, seemed under staffed.
Staff at the hotel was fantastic! We pulled in with a car top carrier that did not fit the parking garage and they helped take it off and put it in storage. They guided us to the public transportation with a nice map, which was about a 5 minute walk. It is also close to Georgetown shopping and DC cupcakes! The walk to and from the White House attractions is managable. Breakfast was more than expected and well maintained!
Parking was across the street in the basement of the Ritz Carlton parking garage, which was inconvenient!
charges for parking
Large and comfortable room with fridge and dining table. Free breakfast was good too.
Window looked out onto brick wall.
The staff was very attentive to our needs as a large family.
Location, cleanliness, breakfast
Room key didn't work, But that's not really hotels fault.
The room and its bathroom was clean, calm, well designed and well equipped (two AC:s, refrigerator, cooking facilities, ironing equipment, alarm-radio, TV, two suitcase stands, good double bed, three windows, big closet with hangers, cabinet with drawers, dining table with two chairs, one comfortable chair with side table). Free and working WiFi, which is far better than most 4 star hotels offer even at this time and age. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was fine and provided what we wished for, such as, coffee, tea, milk, orange juice, fruit, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, some sausages, a kind of cooked sauce, bagels, English muffins, pancakes, etc. Short walking distance (10 minutes with suitcases) to Metro for going down-town, and short walking distance to Georgetown (20 minutes) with its restaurant district. We have tried Best Western in several countries, and have never been disappointed. This was probably the best so far.
Manager on duty solved our reservation issue quickly and with a smile. Maintenance staff responded quickly when our A/C stopped working .
Had a confirmed room with 2 double beds. Upon our arrival we found out that someone had given our room away. According to desk person they must've assumed since we had listed 1 child that we would be ok with a king bed and rollout bed. Was also told that they were sold out now . Not acceptable at all, we chose this type of room for a reason. Manager heard our discussion with desk person and upgraded us to a king suite. Also breakfast staff not very attentive to re-stocking supplies.Even when we or other guests asked for more jelly or whatever, they said...are you sure there are no more over there? Yeah, I'm sure, that's why I asked for it. They were not happy with having to re-stock things.
Everything...except the breakfast.
Breakfast wasn't very appealing. We don't ask for much but I couldn't eat the pastry. Selection of other foods was just OK.
The room, was nice, as was the lobby. Location was convent as well.
3pm check in as I was there. For over 2 hrs. Wi-fi not that good in room. No bacon/sausage with the free breakfast, dining room was full.
Bugs in jelly. Exercise room offsite.
Staff was wonderful!!!
Breakfast option was a bit poor but got us going for a while.
AA, Bed, Breakfast
The beds were made nicely.
Elevators were slow; we used the stairs.
Very big and spacious suite, nice soft bed, had a little kitchen with a coffee maker (complimentary coffee pads for it as well). All in all everything about the suite itself was good.
WiFi only barely worked, and not all the time. It was very slow at best. Breakfast was extremely basic - not even a slice of cheese. And served in a room too small for the guests so we had to convince the staff (who at first said no) to open up the doors to an adjoining room, which hat extra seating. I'm not sure what she thought I should do instead? Stand there waiting for someone else to finish up? Along with the other waiting guests? For me this was no dealbreaker though, as Starbucks was just around the corner and had much better coffee anyway.
comfortable, clean, nice stuff, washington post every morning
nothing to complain about
Excellent location as it was very near to the centre of Washington. Breakfast Room and the quality of the food was very good.
Excellent staff, vey courteous and helpful .
