Our room was directly across from the ice machine...a little noisy at times. The train ran near the hotel so this location is not ideal for the light sleeper. The rooms were a little dated but they are in the process of renovating. Other than museums, nothing much in the area unless you take a cab, drive, or public transportation.
Our visit was geared towards the museums so this hotel was in the perfect location. Staff was very friendly, helpful, & knowledgeable of the area. Great price!
Restaurant was closed both time we went to go to eat, Pool was closed due to renovations, room was old, water stained in bathroom, no mini fridge as promised, wallpaper falling off walls.
Hotel was generally worn with age. Shower did not work well, bathroom door did not shut easily, rugs were dirty..
Great staff, nice bed new HD TV.
Only one wash cloth stocked in room-corrected after I called for couple more so the rest of us could shower. Coffee machine located in bathroom-still contained coffee pod and coffee in cafe from previous guest. Only one electrical plug in bathroom-so you can either blow dry your hair or have coffee. No exhaust fan in bathroom. We walked to breakfast around 8 and came back at 9:30-arriving to a housekeeper cleaning our room out before we had even showered or checked out. Out door pool-due to season:closed

I didn't like that my room wasn't ready in time. It didn't have a fridge or a microwave. Also room service skipped me over.
I loved how the staff went to every length to help me
It was more than I was used to paying for a hotel, and given the area it was in I thought I was only paying for the location, but it was so much better than that. Everyone was friendly, it was clean, the room was big and they did everything they could to accommodate us on our vacation.
No parking area
The pillows were really poofy. So much that they went completely flat! Bring your own.
I loved the price and the staff helped us above and beyond. They even had coupons for food behind the desk! The bed was AMAZING.
The heating and cooling unit in the room was very loud. I had to unplug it to get some sleep. I didn't get my wake up call and the front desk person didn't seem to care at all that she hadn't done it. Booking.com say the hotel is a 10 minute walk from Dearborn station. I could find no such station and ended up walking for 30 minutes to try and find it. Turns out the hotel is literally around the corner from Roosevelt station on the Orange line which takes you right to Midway Airport.
The hotel was good value for money, the room was clean and comfortable.

My room was cold and took several hours just to heat the room to 65°. The wall where the heater was located was frozen. Half of the heater was frozen also. So l guess it couldn't be helped. The room was old and had some minor wear issues.
The staff were great! They were friendly and helpful. They were all very pleasant.
The exterior of the building looks dirty and bad. (But inner was not) There's no breakfast, refrigerator, and microwave, and coffee maker was not working
I liked cleanliness and good wifi. It was not far from Roosevelt station. and price was reasonable.
Although it's not a new building, the beds are really comfy, the rooms are clean and the staff is very nice :)

Very big bed (King size), clean and large rooms, good security, valet parking, the staff was very kind, large LCD TV, nice desk.
Wall cover in bathroom was off leaving home on wall, bathroom lock installed incorrectly (could push door open when locked and bounced back open when pushing closed), staff charged credit card without acknowledging preference of payment when extending stay extra night.
Location within walking distance of attractions and restaurants
Most of the staff was rude or not helpful at all. Not friendly. There were three that were very friendly. I just feel they should be able to help more with the area and help more how to get around with the bus and L train.
They did respond very fast when someone was at out our door at 4 am.
Sometimes noise from people who think that they are alone in the jungle, not hotel related though. Building is a little old but very well maintained.
Certainly being close to museums and means of transportation is a perk that never hurts. Within walking distance to several museums, across the street to bus and two blocks to subway, something else to ask for?
I've asked the staff to add my stay on my Star Alliance card (one thing I've done in other hotels), but they couldn't figure out how to do it or what it is in general, even though the hotel is a member.
