Location, comfortable beds and pillows, value
Outdated décor, paper thin walls, noise in hallway
The staff was very friendly and very helpful. Answered all of our questions about the area ect.
The hallways and vending areas are a bit run down and worn looking.
The location for a Bears game was great. We could walk to the game and there are a lot of entertainment opportunities within a short distance of the facility. Price was the most affordable in the area.
The facility is old and not in the best condition. The room was cramped and not updated. The service was adequate but not proactive in helping guests. We knew we would sacrifice some of these things for price....and we did.
well located near the loop while not inside
too noisy. My room was next to the elevator and I have been awaked several times during every nigth I stayed in this hotel . The hotel is close to a railway station.
Easy access to transport museum campus metra station just across the bridge for visiting Hyde Park, walking distance to museums, Roosevelt redline station and two supermarkets behind hotel. Comfy bed, nice big tv, good wifi for free in rooms.
Bathroom not as nice as bedroom'plastic' bath and splashbacks a little mouldy at the edges, faucets very stiff and dripping.
decent place, clean, wifi, central
I had some problem with my card payment, the night I arrived two payments were made on my card and the staff couldn't see them. This kind of problem can happen(although this never happened to me before), and the staff was nice, trying to help me finding a solution for the first night. But in the following days they were not very prompt with clarifying the problem with the bank, and I had to call my bank every day. Maybe not their fault, but in the end a lot of stress
Location-walking distance to Soldier Field and Grant Park, Friendly staff. Good breakfast
very dated and worn, long wait at check in because rooms were not ready. No onsite bar or restaurant except for Breakfast
Very poor guest parking, long wait for room, empty vending machines on all floors, expected more for the price
staff were ok. location was great.
toilet was leaking , beds were not comfortable, did not get size bed I asked for, building looked old and outdated. house keepers didn't understand English too well. elevator only held 6 people
Front desk staff awesome. Really enjoyed working with Tiara and Pablo. The hotel needs a little upgrading to raise the star level but so close to Soldier Field and other attractions. Worth the stay
The elevator was very little 6 people occupancy We had a king size bedroom but it was very small
This hotel is in much need of an update - the decor etc is very dated and tired looking and in comparison to other Best Western Hotels I have stayed in, this was disappointing
Grant park (Shedd Aquarium, Field Museum, Soldier Field) right across the street. Nearby restaurants. Right on bus line to Michigan Mile
rooms are big, clean and comfortable. ohhh of course location.its awesome.
no breakfast and there is not smoking room :)
Location. Walking distance within Shed Aquarium and museum. Not too far from Navy Pier.
Soda machine on several floors was out of several selections.
Location convenient to everything in Chicago. The staff was great. Beds were comfortable and clean. Air quality was good.
Had to park off-site. The pool was a bit dingy. The bathroom sink dripped.
Being able to take a walk to the park, and shop's was very nice!
I don't have any dislike!
The bathroom is to small, no refrigerator
We had a view of grant Park and the museums. On Wednesday evening we could see the navy pier fireworks. The staff was very helpful with advice about buses, sights for the kids, restaurant recommendations.
Location and reasonable rate.
Pool and outdoor patio was right beside the window. We could not open curtains without losing privacy.
The beds were extremely comfortable and the rooms were cleaned well. Front desk staff, especially Tiara and Kenneth were most helpful and kind. Of course the location was excellent. The price was also very good. Thanks also for Wi-Fi, which was good. Good TV as well.
While front desk staff were good, the cleaning staff was consistently rude. One maid rolled her eyes at us because we were on the elevator she wanted to load her cart onto. Unbelievable rudeness. The maids had a staff room on our floor and they were loud and disrespectful, although not at night. Our coffee maker did not work and the maid was put out that she had to replace it, although she finally did so. The toilet leaked, but that was fixed right away so thanks to the front desk for that. The sink faucet was also faulty and was not fixed while we were there. The pool was a big disappointment because it was so cold. The restaurant advertised was incorrect. There was no lunch or dinner. That was also an unexpected disappointment and has not been updated on the website.
The location is very convenient. the beds were very comfortable.
I felt it was very overpriced, and it was very noisy the whole night.
Good location within nice summer time walking to the bean, downtown and other sights along the river front. Comfortable beds and adequate space in the rooms with two double beds.
Couldn't charge meals from restaurant next door to our room. Parking pretty expensive on a daily basis but safe I think. Staff at front desk seemed pretty disinterested most of the time. A smile would have been nice, just one! Kind of a small, shabby lobby with broken concrete at the main doors that we had to cart all our bags through.
Location and comfortable beds. Nice size room. Great value.
Everything was good or better.
We had a great stay at the Best Western Grant Park. We attended a concert at Northerly Island and were able to walk from the Hotel,
that is was close to grant park and the pier. i was able to leave my luggage after i checked out while still enjoying the city.
bathroom in lobby was locked during the day. swimming pool area was a dirty mess. i was charged a deposit of $50 for any items i might take from the fridge the room didnt have a fridge and the staff should have known that.
