I love this hotel and the location.
That I was not given a king size bed like I reserved on the first night and ended up having to pay a higher price when I switched to a room that did for the next two nights as originally reserved. A "booking.com" reservation is treated different at the hotel than going thru best western directly like I did last year and also ended up costing more.
The restaurant has a load and noise music and not a nice decoration. Breakfat was poor.
The rooms were nice, comfortable, and accommodating. The carpet is newer and the water in the shower had no problem staying warm.
I was guaranteed one price on Booking.com then at the hotel I was charged over $70 more.
very close to Old Town San Diego..lots of restaurants to choose from. Also, trolley stop to take you all around San Diego.
hotel staff at check in did not inform us there was a daily fee for parking and a resort fee for this hotel....a swimming pool and workout area justify resort fee??
Although the staff seemed to be standoffish and aloof, they were just the opposite. Very helpful and eager to help with everything from where to eat to how to get on the freeway. We had some plumbing problems; from the call to the front desk to the arrival of help was less than 5 minutes. Abel was quick in getting the problem solved without any disruption to us. We will be back!
The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. We had a great stay here.
Loved loved loved it, very helpful front desk, this was our second visit, it can be confusing with all the levels on which the hotel is built, but hey gorgeous place!!! Handy for old the town, the trolley, etc. great location!!!! Loved the Tequila bar too. Definitely on my return list for the future
Loved the location. You can walk around the area quite easily. It was a pleasant surprise
The location made everything very accommodating.
Cleaning services/housekeeping come before 8 am. I should have hung a do not disturb sign but it was surprising to have them knock for service at that time on a Sunday.
Beautiful! Felt like I was staying in a hacienda in Mexico! Rooms were spacious and clean! Coffee was great! Staff was friendly and accommodating! I'll definitely go back!
The bed was a little hard and the pillows were not comfortable.
We loved the location, the staff, the grounds, our room and the roof top mexican restaurant! We will be staying here again soon!
Loved the Hacienda decor and the location of the hotel
Don't like paying to park
The location is in the heart of old San Diego.
Lots of stairs and the lobby is way too far
Location and design make this a very private retreat
Hacienda like atmosphere, large rooms, great courtyard, buffet breakfast at the on site balcony restaurant.
The layout for rooms and floors were confusing. As were the various limited elevators.
What more can you ask for sunny days, excellent stay at Hotel & great Chargers game. Everything was walking distance to Old Town & the Trolley. Had fun at the restaurant & the tequila bar service was good.
Convoluted access to room. Never found first room alternative found OKs
The design of the hotel and architecture aspect of it and the location.
We had a request of early check-in. There was no room available, that is OK. We went out for lunch and call back about 1:30. There is still "No room available" . So we waited in the lobby. A group about 10 wemen checked in, then a couple check-in...So I asked the desk...She would gave us a room in the back building #600... I asked any other room, she assigned a room in #800...Why we were treated this way?
Great service, friendly. Close to Old town village.
Our stay was very nice....clean rooms and we enjoyed it. The pool was very very nice. And we enjoyed the Tequila Factory for our dinner. Overall we liked the Hotel, but not sure we will stay again, because the navigation issues.
Parking is understandibly difficult...and it is very confusing trying to navigate the property...trying to figure out what floor we needed and what elevator. When you have difficulty walking, this is a very huge process.
The room was very pleasant It had 10 foot ceilings. Very quite. Good view. Great breakfast.
Charged for parking but discount for AAA. Lay out was confusing.
pool, restaurants, closeness to old town, entire atmosphere of the place.
price. a little expensive, but worth it.
Liked that the hotel is located close to Old Town and downtown San Diego. Our room was cleaned promptly and competently. Parking was secure and close to our room.
Made a request of staff that was never fulfilled. WiFi connectivity was spotty and slow.
It is a very clean and beautiful hotel.
