Location was excellent for everything we wanted to do. Very easy access to public transportation.
I really can't think of any negatives.
We very much liked the patio outside the hotel and the location was great for wanting to go out in Boystown.
Price for a Best Western Plus was a bit high and there was a dampness to the hotel.
The self service breakfasts were good and coffee available all day. Two computers in the lobby for guests use good for checking in flights etc. The "L" within walking distance for downtown exploring.
The hotel was well situated in a convenient area for a Cubs game. Room decor was pleasant.
Television did not work well. Poor reception.
Location, friendly staff
I would have liked somewhere to sit comfortably to enjoy the breakfast.
I lived in this area for 16 years. Felt good "to be back" in familiar surroundings
Location , staff. Room
Big TV, comfortable beds and bathroom was everything you'd expect.
Overpriced, breakfast I think I turned up about 10.30, nothing to be seen but a tiny kitchen and a coffee machine, had to help myself to some fruit and juice out of the store room. Staff were young and a bit inexperienced which made check in way more long winded than it should of been.
Internet service, complimentary breakfast, bed, and clean bathroom
Noisy, wacky room HVAC, rude front desk staff, broken whirlpool, beat-up walls in room, ice machine in only one location (that I could find) on a different floor, constantly non-working room keys
The location, the housekeeping staff, the continental breakfast was better than typical offerings, my room was very comfortable.
The desk clerks seemed to have a snide undertone. I do wish there was a guide on the television to tell us what was on. Or an option for streaming or ordering movies. Also, they put a 259 hold on my card. Then they deleted it. Then they gave it back. And I honestly don't know if I still owe them money or what.
The size of rooms
The shower was dirty
close to wrigley
bed size, breakfast set up, breakfast food, breakfast choices. front desk at check out was interesting. neither girl seemed to know what they were doing as i was watching others check out too. parking was another $30 each night on top of the premium $260 night room
I like that it's really quiet and the rooms are far enough apart to where you have privacy.
The cable thats about it.
Location was good, although the website made it seem like it would be closer to Wrigley and the red line stop. Breakfast was great. Front desk staff was very helpful.
Ice machine was broken. Lots of noise right outside my room from the housekeeping staff (my room was right near the elevator); perhaps they should consider soundproofing the doors in this section of the hotel. Also there was toothpaste on the bathroom mirror when I got there, and it was still there on the 3rd day when I checked out.
Within walking distance of Wrigley Field! Easy access to car or taxi. Really like the neighborhood feel.
Location,Location,Location! Walking distance to multiple things. Most staff friendly and helpful. Room comfortable. Early check in :]
$$ and one night staff person rude, side/ramped door locked @ 11pm, needed to use this door as husband is in a wheelchair. He looked @ me 3 times motioned me to use other door, I finally pointed to the wheelchair, he let us in & stated door is locked @ 11. I stated we were @ Cubs Game and got over late. No response back. If that door locks @ 11 need to have room keyed lock or a doorbell. Don't make your handicap guests feel like they have a curfew. After it is Chicago and nightlife is just begining @ 11. Older folks go out too!
air conditioner very loud bathroom extremely small bed very hard pillows hard
Good proximity to Wrigley Field and 1 block away from bus route that took you downtown.
Proximity to Wrigley Field, the purpose of our visit. Breakfast selections were good, food was good, only 2 tables so had to carry food & coffee back to room.
Not obvious that parking was available at the front of the hotel to unload bags. We pulled into the parking lot, and the attendant told us to unload in the garage, not convenient at all.
You will not find more accommodating people at any hotel. The staff goes out of its way to be helpful. The hotel is perfectly located, and the curb appeal is inviting. The rooms are clean and neat. The bathrooms are exceptionally nice and well-appointed. Whoever came up with the bathroom mirror and light system gets an A+.
The A/C unit left a little to be desired. As a stand-along unit, it throws cold air across the bed area.
Clean! Nice comfortable room that smelled good and felt and looked clean...no hesitation to actually relax in this room...especially with the large therapy tub and large shower in the nicely appointed bathroom. Excellent A/C and nice size room. Gym facility/hot tub/sauna all nice and clean. Free breakfast stuff and great coffee. Very convenient to shopping, eating, drinking establishments. Highly recommend this hotel two blocks from Lake Michigan and not far from most major attractions. Easy driving in and finding this hotel even for a first-timer to Chicago. Would recommend booking way in advance, though I booked the room only two days prior to my stay. Definitely brink a bicycle or plan to do a lot of walking unless you like to use the many taxis available. Not on a very busy street, neat neighborhood. Grocery a block away!
A little pricey on the room, but maybe that's just because it's Chicago. Basically $500.00 for two nights once all taxes etc. were added on. Parking in garage next door costly...$30.00 per day...hotel should cover this cost for you instead of you having to pay for it I think, but again, maybe that's just Chicago...just not used to this where I'm from.
Loved the location and scale of the hotel. Parking was convenient.
Staff could have been a little friendlier, and the breakfast was just OK.
Great location, many good restaurants and bars within a few blocks. My room was beautiful !
Great location, great looking building, looked like a home rather than a hotel in the city.
