You can't get a better location for Boystown. This is the spot.
The dishwasher in the kitchenette didn't work and the showerhead in the cool standup shower kept falling off sending water everywhere.
Excellent location and beautiful, quaint hotel.
Front desk staff were terribly unprofessional. Cleaning ladies were yelling in the hallway in the morning to one another from different rooms, waking me up and preventing any chance of sleeping in.
Located in the heart of Lakevuew and accessible to everything by walking or taking the El. Parking right next door for those that drive. Modernized rooms and good breakfast!
Stayed in the second building and glass exit door on street level very hard to open. Latch got stuck multiple times and observed others also struggling to exit building
Rooms are warm with a touch of modern decor very comfortable beds! Staff is friendly as the level of friendliness goes in a place like Chicago. Diffenetly will be staying there everytime we go to visit my step daughter and her boyfriend.
Perfect location in the middle of Boystown (gayarea). Nice rooms and comfort. Good room for training.
Unfortunately the hotel wasn't designed with noise reduction. My first room, 214, was next to some low frequenzy motor in the wall that turned on and off each 3 min. The next room was much better, except the "ding" from the elevator could be heard constantly. I did however get used to it quickly, and would still book the hotel another time.
Location is great. WiFi was good.
Parking is expensive. Our room, 301 was a little small.
comfortable beds, very clean, nice staff
continental breakfast was slim, the tv didn't work well not that we watched a lot of it anyway, wifi was poor, when we got there our room wasn't ready so they upgraded us but we didn't really need that large of room, parking is outrageous
location super breakfast friendly servvice
front rooms too small
I loved the location of the hotel. It was central to everything I was there to do. Very close to excellent restaurants, bars, and theatres. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious.
I did not like the fact that I booked a king bed and was given 2 standard size beds. Other than that, everything was great!
The area is very nice with restaurants and bars in walking distance. Lots of people out and about.
The parking, while very close (next door) is rather inconvenient.
We visit this area often and generally don't stay at this hotel because the rates are generally high. We got a pleasant surprise this time. We got a room upgrade on check in. Also, we left an item behind in our room and staff contacted us before we reached home and offered to send the item to us.
Safe was broken in room and maintenance seemed ill equipped to fix. A minor inconvenience but we generally like to keep certain items in the room safes when we leave the room.
The neighborhood is nice with tons of local restaurants to choose from within 3 blocks of the hotel (or you could go right next door for sushi or Mexican food at El Mariachi). You have your choice of supermarkets three blocks in the other direction including Whole Foods. Great atmosphere with plenty of pubs to go have a drink near Wrigley with a Police District HQ which made you feel very safe. Every time I stay in Chicago, this will be the place.
That I couldn't stay longer.
Atmosphere is lay back and my family lives in the neighborhood.
Smoking on the terrace! Ruins the outdoor space for morning coffee.
Generally a nice friendly place - would definitely stay again !
Were not advised of services upon checkin -i.e. Breakfast ! no channel listings for TV
I loves everything about the hotel with the exception of the gym.
The gym next to the Spaatz causing it to be very hot and humid inside the facility.
The location was perfect. Safe neighborhood, which was ideal as we were able to walk to Wrigley Field and restaurants. Hotel was clean and just what we needed for our baseball weekend.
The cable TV didn't work for most channels. The signal was jumpy and the sound messed up.
Location was excellent for everything we wanted to do. Very easy access to public transportation.
I really can't think of any negatives.
We very much liked the patio outside the hotel and the location was great for wanting to go out in Boystown.
Price for a Best Western Plus was a bit high and there was a dampness to the hotel.
The self service breakfasts were good and coffee available all day. Two computers in the lobby for guests use good for checking in flights etc. The "L" within walking distance for downtown exploring.
The location was a short walk to Wrigley field and the neighborhood was very friendly and safe with some good little bars and restaurants.
That we couldn't stay longer!
The hotel was well situated in a convenient area for a Cubs game. Room decor was pleasant.
Television did not work well. Poor reception.
Location, friendly staff
I would have liked somewhere to sit comfortably to enjoy the breakfast.
I lived in this area for 16 years. Felt good "to be back" in familiar surroundings
Location , staff. Room
Big TV, comfortable beds and bathroom was everything you'd expect.
Overpriced, breakfast I think I turned up about 10.30, nothing to be seen but a tiny kitchen and a coffee machine, had to help myself to some fruit and juice out of the store room. Staff were young and a bit inexperienced which made check in way more long winded than it should of been.
