Breakfasts weren't up to usual standards. Halls were dirty Bathtub faucet dripped
I thank Sherry at the reception area for being genuinely friendly and warm. The room was well kept. My dog Nina had a good time too.
Liked the hotel & staff other than that a good stay. Allowed me a later check out which was great and much needed. May think about offering parents of students at Milton Hershey School a later check out if available.
The entrance is a bit hidden a bigger sign of the entrance would be better and the breakfast was gone by 8 am. A bit more 3 pensive for other Best Westerns I have stayed at with less space.
The hotel room was not very clean. Carpets dirty, hair in the bed and the door to the outside was warped so much air and sun light came through.
We were upgraded to a suite which you would think would be great. Well when you are traveling with two children and they now have to sleep on a pull out coach instead of a regular bed since there was only one bed. The room was dirty. My husband asked if the room doesn't get booked often because it looked like it really wasn't cared for. They said they did but the ring inside the toilet was clearly there for several weeks. There was old cereal on the floor, a lot, and I mean it was visible, of dust on the chair rail and baseboards, just dirty. Plus it was super noisy since the room faced the busy main road. I'm thinking they must have over-sold the hotel because this room was really no suite! I never write reviews but this was just a bad experience.
The location is good if you are going to the Hershey Convention Center. The staff is friendly & courteous. The room was clean served its purpose.
The double beds were tiny & the pillows even tinier. They gave us only two towels & we had to keep calling for additional towels even though they were advised that we were four in the room. The spacing in the room was an issue. No where to place your luggage & no counter space for your toiletries.
I like the friendly and out going staff. Value for the money.
Room and lobby need updating and not just paint. Door to room had to be slamed to close, sink area to small.
location was close to Hershey Pool was great for small children. Free internet was nice Staff was helpful and kind
Rooms and halls smelled musty. Carpeting was worn and stained Doors did not close properly Gym equipment was broken and hazardous.
The proximity to Hershey Park and Chocolate World, and the free parking, were the only positives to this hotel. The hotel does offer complimentary breakfast in the morning, but it is nothing spectacular.
The hotel did not know about our Booking.com reservation. Another couple trying to check in had a similar problem, but they booked via Expedia. Another guest was in the lobby complaining that his room keys didn't work. The lobby manager finally got found my reservation by logging into Booking.com, and was able to process the reservation. She gave us our keys and told us the room number. Upon locating our room, we were taken aback to find the door to our room already open. There was a strong moldy smell to the room from the bathroom, which had no ventilation. There was mold/mildew along the edge of the bathtub. The carpet felt moist as well. We could tell the room hadn't been vacuumed since there were Fruit Loop cereal circles on the floor (and they were not ours). There was a spider in the room and I think my son got bit by a spider that night. The room felt dirty and run down. I called down to the front desk to tell them we'd only be staying one night instead of two as originally planned. The woman on the phone was somewhat rude about it but in the end said okay.
Some front office staff were not professional or very attentive. Carpet in room was dirty. TV reception was poor. Bed was not comfortable. There was a hotel guest who smelled badly and wasn't wearing shoes in the lobby when we arrived. He seemed to know one of the front office staff well and was chatting with her and hugging her while we were waiting. The card keys did not work for the room we were first given so staff came to get us another room. The next room she looked in for us she said "smelled funny" and went on the another room. I don't feel like this hotel was well run or that there was a competent manager on site. We won't be staying at this hotel again and I'm not sure we'll stay at another Best Western ever again.
Location - very close to park Rate - very affordable Fresh, hot waffles at the free breakfast Room was fairly clean
Hotel is old, outdated and a little dingy No drinking cups or tissues in our room Toilet kept running after flushing
Location. We had issues with TV working staff gave us discount because of issues. Majority of rm very clean
Curtains were in desperate need of cleaning. Staff bickering when we checked in. Tables and umbrellas some chairs by pool broken. Pool water very cold. Inner hallways smelled carpeting needs to be replaced, bad stains
Convenience to our friend's home.
Very small bathroom with an even smaller sink area built in between two walls. Very difficult to use. Breakfast was very skimpy. The worst problem was the visibility of the sign and entrance to hotel. Extremely difficult to see. There needs to be another entrance at the other end of the parking lot. The floor in room appeared to be dirty. The desk clerk was told we needed a ground floor room because steps were difficult for us. She put us in a room where we had to walk through the lobby down a hall using a cart with our two small dogs. We didn't realize until later that there were rooms ground level in the back which we could have just parked in front of. Taking the dogs in and out would have been much handier from there also.
Easy to locate.
bed was hard
Hotel staff seemed very unorganized. The location was wonderful. No elevator and we were on the 3rd floor.
Location was good
The beds needed new mattries and new pillows. had to keep calling for more towels daily checked in with a family of 4 why could you not reconize this and give the correct number of towels.
The proximity to Hershey Amusement Park. The manager Greg was very sweet and helpful.
Where do I start.......The air conditioner spit out warm air, the curtains would not close properly. The toilet bowl wobbled every time anyone went near it. The bathroom smelled like skunk. The room was dirty, they only surface clean......the door to our room had to be closed in a certain way.. The pool was filthy, and the ice machine was broken. The lights in our room did not work correctly, my husband who is an electrician fixed 2 lamps....this list can go on and on.
CLOSE TO HERSHEY PARK ARENA
ROOM SMELLED MUSTY. LAMP SHADE HAD SOMETHING SPILLED ALL OVER IT AND WELL AS THE WALLS.
The first room we were given smelled of mildew and dampness. The carpets were filthy.
It was very close to Hershey Park, The Pool was nice but Ice cold , Kids couldn't really go in
The bathroom needed to be cleaned, The breakfast was frozen waffels and cold cereal
The beds were comfy and the pool was big.
The carpet near the bathroom threshhold was frayed to the point that carpet tacks were exposed. We discovered this when my husband stepped on one, and had to warn our son not to step on them the whole time we were there. Also, the bathroom fan we screached so loud that we couldn't use it.
We loved the pool at this hotel (primary reason for choosing it) the area was clean and my two daughters loved it, there was also a hot tub which we enjoyed very much as well, the room was perfect for our needs, also the breakfast selection was fantastic and it was included in the price, we were very satisfied with our stay at the Best Western.
The bathroom and vanity area were a bit tight...
LOCATION, STAFF, AND BREAKFAST.
the location the breakfast
the size of the beds, we requested queens and felt like they were full sized beds, the carpets in room 108 were filthy as was the entrance door, totally gross. and we were surprised by the exterior location we thought most hotels had long interior halls to the rooms.
