Best Western Midtown    

Excellent service, we asked for a small refrigetaror the nextt morning it was there. Good breakfast options, excellent location, a short drive to the beaches, plus close to restaurants and shops.

We found a cockroach in the bathroom. Thankfully only one.

Pool was very nice, and warm. The weather was unsteady so it was good to get in a warm pool.

I didn't like the fact that when I checked out I was chagred more for the room than I had originally agreed. I agreed to $356.97. When I left it was $399.81. a $42.84 difference. Not sure why it was more but I paid it. Glad I didn't spend all my money while there. I would have been screwed.

it was clean and comfortable , free breakfast is essential when traveling with several kids . the pool is heated and open until 10 p.m. it was the nicest out of the five hotels we stayed at during our trip

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Adriana at the front desk went out of her way to accommodate, and Jason, who brought the fridge and microwave, was friendly and anxious to please.

One of the main reasons I chose this motel was the free wifi, as i needed to work for part of the time we were there. i was disappointed that the wifi was so slow and weak, i wasn't able to maintain a connection and work, even after speaking to the Best Western tech support and changing rooms.

The breakfast was great and well run. Check-in was quick and easy. It was a good location given our interests while visiting.

All non-smokling rooms, which is okay but they didn't accommodate smokers outside either (lack of ashtrays, places to sit while having a cup of coffee, etc.). It would be easy to set-up small tables/chairs in a few locations, away from doors to work with smokers (and I saw many in my three days). I thought the price was a little high given the overall age, layout and character of the place but I didn't feel ripped off either. The afternoon rush-hour traffic was a pain.

Free breakfast was excellent. A great selection and good food. Top notch.

Reasonable price. Good location for Sarasota city access. Comfortable beds. Clean room. Good continental breakfast.

Superb location. Close to central downtown, yet easy to park. Plenty of supporting services nearby

Noise of a wedding party late at night. No one answered at front desk. Plumbing needed repair. Strange smell in room. Hard to get the temperature setting correct.

The staff was very friendly! Plus the breakfast had much to choose from.

Not much wrong, really. Perhaps the rooms could use redecorating. We stayed 2 weeks and didn't get clean sheets.

Booked on line and upon arrival asked about a law enforcement discount. Was told since I booked on line it was not available to me.

We liked the location to beaches and places to eat.Nice and quiet place to stay.

The sink was plugged. We were so busy we forgot to ask someone about it for several days. When i did ask they fixed it right away. I left a note to the maid but she didn't fix it. You think she would have noticed when cleaning.

Not a lot! Quite disappointing.

Dinginess of room; large area of wet carpet from air conditioning unit; entry door had been jemmied open at some time; block paved pathway nearby the room was in a very poor state - an ankle could easily be twisted. We would not recommend this particular Best Western.

We found 2 rouches moving around the floor . room smell bad, hot water valvue in the shower was leacking a lot of water. I will never stay again in this hotel again. for $89.00 per day no way!!

Heavily stained mattresses in all three rooms that we were offered. We left after one night, having planned to stay longer.

I booked this room as a king size room. We were told there were no king size rooms available upon arrival so were give a double at the same price. Had some problems with the tv and found a roach We usually stay here when we do weekend escapes since we love the Sarasota area but we fdoing the booking this first time wth booking.com I was very disapointed being told there were no king size rooms when the web site said there was.

Been there 5 year in a row, Best rooms face the pool 2nd and 3rd floor. Staff is friendly and caring.

Location and service

The receptionists (two of them) had their snack-meal in the middle of the check-in (behind the counter but quite visable). The breakfast room was total chaos with very many people and a narrow room where everyone bumped into eachother. The pool however was good but the shower at the pool area did not work so all jumped in all sweaty, not very hygienic. No snack-bar at pool. No beer or wine to be bought at the hotel. Close to both Starbucks and a big grocery shop=good.
