Best Western Oceanside  

Clean and convenient to to beach (not ocean front). Friendly staff. Can't comment on breakfast because we had to catch an early flight.

Hotel was great location for family with two kids (8 and 11 yrs). One block to the beach without having to cross busy road. Two blocks from canal cruises, parasailing and fishing expeditions. Kids had fun in the pool and the continental breakfast kept it simple with the kids. Hotel had a room ready early at 11am which was nice since we just got off the cruise boat with our luggage. They also stored our luggage until our flight went out late evening. Staff was friendly and helpful. Note: In hindsight I would have requested and waited for a room facing the pool on floor 1 or 2 so the kids could have swam at will and we could still have kept an eye on them.

Hotel was a little run down and old (as are a lot of the f Ft Lauderdale hotels). I would generally prefer something more upscale. There are no real restaurants or shops onsite. The Sheraton next door seemed a little more upscale and was available at the same rate albeit without breakfast. It also had the advantage of a pool on the beach. However, by the end of the stay I was able to overlook the tired look of the Best Western and was happy enough with our choice. The kids loved it and breakfast was a real plus. It was functional. However, were it just my husband and I travelling, I would likely upgrade to something nicer. Note: I write this review having paid top rate at spring break. It was a competitive rate given the timing but obviously it impacts my expectations and review.

The hotel looks older than it is but rooms are nice. Only food at night is from bar and is limited.Doorperson is good at getting taxis

Keep and eye on your bill as we stayed two times and cancelled out one day. The cancelled day was charged and then corrested after I saw it on credit card. Last time we stayed as two rooms were under one confirmation number they billed my credit card for second persons room and not theres. Again caught it on checking credit card and am still awaiting refund.

The guy at breakfast was very pleasant, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Close to the beach area.

We picked this hotel mainly for its location to the beach area of Fort Lauderdale. It included an excellent breakfast with Frank the restaurant manager who was very helpful and entertaining. The hotel is very clean and pool/sunbathing area very good.

It is looking a little on the tired side.

I like that it's comfortable. There's free wireless internet without interruptions, there's a refrigerator, microwave and a safe. Convenient location next to the beach. Free breakfast came with the room and I like that there was a parking garage for my car.

Water drained slowly from the tub when showering.

Great price for the location, right on the beach, great breakfast all included in price. Stuff was super-nice! Highly recommend!

Really wasn't impressed.. Could have found much better for the same price. The breakfast wasnt good, felt like they used cheap ingredients. The rooms weren't very nice and not soundproof at all! We had a lot of ants and they couldn't switch us.

Great location close to the sea; Nice and very pleasant staff.
