The morning we left, the lady at the front desk (didn't get her name) was not at all pleasant and acted as if I was intruding on her day when I returned the key. But such a tiny dark spot in an otherwise wonderful experience!
My husband and I and teenage daughter stayed here for one night, and we also had our small dog with us. We were all getting ready to return to school the following week, and wanted to have a little outing beforehand. First of all, I would just like to say that if there were a higher word than "Excellent" to describe my family's feelings about this motel and their wonderful staff, we would definitely use it! We have NEVER had such a great experience at a hotel before. It all started before we even left our house. Planning to visit the Fort Worth Gardens immediately after checking into the room, it dawned on my husband that we would have to check in earlier than the standard 3:00 time, so as to leave our dog there and go on our way. So I called the hotel and talked to Kirk, who was just so friendly and helpful, and seemed genuinely concerned with our dilemma. He assured us that there should not be any problem with us checking in early, and that they already had 3 rooms already open. So we leave for the hotel and check in around 10:00 or so. Jessica was in front when we arrived, and we were immediately impressed with how sweet and kind she was. She said she wanted to meet our little dog, so I went out to get her and brought her into the lobby.Jessica petted her and talked so sweet to her. And our dog, who is not good with strangers at all, just sat there and let Jessica pet her and didn't let out a peep. So even the dog fell in love with her! Jessica was also very friendly with our 15 year old daughter, making her feel at ease right away. So we go on to our room. Well, as things turned out, the dog would not cooperate, and began to bark as soon as we shut the door to our room and started to leave.
