Location was convenient with a pleasant view overlooking the river
Lobby is not directly accessible from the guest room section of the hotel and was locked up after 10 pm which meant no access to the business centre. The fitness centre was also unavailable on the day of our stay.
we had a place to sleep
We wanted bed and breakfast... we received a $4 voucher for breakfast from their restaurant. Our booking stated breakfast included... We have travelled a bit and have never been given a voucher for $4 off your breakfast. The staff were all rude and grumpy and did not hear me out... We booked a room that would allow us to bring in another bed... according to bookings dot com it was fine... but not according to them...
Decor in room was very nice.
Pillows were terrible! Two of them were so incredibly lumpy I almost threw them in the trash to save the next poor guest the discomfort of trying to sleep on them. Very noisy room, partly due to the slider not closing/sealing adequately. Guess that explained the earplugs on the nightstand!
Their check in is at 3pm which is standard. I got into town early and was hoping to check in early if my room was available. I even offered to pay more if this was possible. At first they said they couldn't because the room wasn't clean yet, but someone got on their walkie-talkie and asked housekeeping on that floor if it was ready, and it was. They were an absolute life saver and they didn't charge me extra! The room was very comfortable and I enjoyed mt stay. I will go back if I ever need to again!
The hotel is old and it shows from the outside. In the rooms it was clean and you could tell updates have been made inside. Just not on the outside.
I liked that the sink and bathroom were separated by a partial wall in the room. Made it seem like home.
I was under the impression I would be enjoying a complementary breakfast as advertised. However, the very expensive restaurant attached to the hotel is where breakfast was offered, the $4 voucher I receieved was no help at all. I didn't budget for breakfast as I thought it was included. My boyfriend and I had a rough start to our day after that :((
Bathroom floor was ice cold. Hall way to elevator was very cold. Only one sink
Location, view and convenience of having a restaurant on premises.
Having to get a voucher daily to get your free breakfast.
There was white pet hair on the floor, when we arrived.. Hotel didn't offer anything to compensate.. Also the pool, gym and hot tub were under construction, no mention of this at time of booking. I would have looked for other accommodations the did have this..
Clean, large room, nice waterfront view, trailblazer channel
Old tv no had HD
Balcony with a river view
Old building ,needs full remodel Breakfast voucher is awkward
Bed was super comfy. Great amenities like a coffee maker, fridge (empty so you can actually use it), microwave, iron and ironing board. Furniture and carpet were in nice shape. Decor was pleasant and lighting was better than average. Appreciated the bedside lamp with a power outlet on it's base to charge cell phones.
Really cold in the room since all the windows were open in the hallways and sliding balcony door was single pane glass. Heat/Air Con unit was very noisy so you couldn't sleep well with the heat on. Rather stark and uninviting separate bath/toilet room. Sink was right next to the main door. Staff made a mistake on check-in that had me checking out a day early and then were overbooked due to power outages in the area.
Handy for my visit. Good restaurant on site. Wonderful view of the river. Some covered parking.
i enjoyed the whole stay, i loved having the deck of the restaurant overlooking the water.it was a very important visit for me, and it was perfect.
there wasn't anything i didn't enjoy.
Nice view of the river. Room temp and bed were comfortable.
Just kind of a depressing hotel. Run down and outdated rooms. Unenthusiastic staff. Trash can neglected in hallway. Slow sink in room. Heard everything happening in the next room.
booked through booking.com...the hotel did not have my dates right...and I was charged more than what I had been quoted. No breakfast included...they did have a restaurant attached that was very proud of their food.
We liked that the river was close and we could see it from the balcony which we also liked. The room was large enough, the shower worked great and had enough water pressure.
Whenever one of us moved in the bed the mattress jiggled all over. The location, although close to the river was also close to I-405 which made it very noisy. We like to sleep with open windows or doors. When we closed the sliding door we turned on the A/C and then it was noisy from that unit. Over all the hotel needs some loving care as it is quite aged.
The location was pleasant. Good bus service to Portland. Restaurant is very good. The hotel suited my purpose as I was visiting friends that live nearby.
Booking Com states that breakfast is included in the room price. This is NOT the case. Guests are given a $4 voucher which can be used for a price reduction. When I asked about this, the receptionist on duty said this was Booking Com's fault for giving incorrect info. The receptionist was at the reception when I arrived. She was over familiar, and used my first name. As a 68-year old woman I did not appreciate this. I was also given a form to sign to say I had understood the house rules. She added that if I smoked in the room I would have to pay a penalty. This is not the way to speak to a guest.
Room was very clean and very comfortable. I slept like a baby and the staff were excellent. I could not have asked more of them.
I wasn't too impressed about the wifi as I was unable to get on most nights and was told they had high speed internet. As I was travelling alone following my sons baseball tour, I was really wanting to keep family and friends back home up to date. I was also responsible for providing photos for the coaching staff and family group that was set up for families who couldn't travel.
The restaurant is outdated, but the food tastes great.
The lobby was closed at night, only the window was open for late arrivals. That made us suspicious about the safety in the area. Also the booking.com website says that the breakfast is included in the cost of stay, which is not true. But they offer coupons for $4 discounts.
Location, view, room.
Coupons for breakfast insufficient
I liked the room layout and size. Location is a plus especially if you are spending time on the river. There were lots of guests there attendi weddings over the weekend so there must be a location nearby that gets a lot of use.
Our room was near the elevator which we could hear running all night. It was old and wrickety which impacted my sleep.
Comfortable beds Waterfront location Reasonable cost
Hot tub closed for repairs - would have been nice to know before booking. Construction of nearby roads - hard to sleep even with earplugs.
clean and comfortable.
Location & surrounding area
This hotel is old and has closed/non working amenities... Our 6 night stay was not worth what we paid ... Spa=closed, laundry=closed Fitness=poor & no ventilation Room AC = doesn't get cold Staff = doesn't care
Clean building and great location across from river. Would recommend to other travelers only once the construction going on right outside is completed.
All night long construction going on right outside of the hotel--which also closed the pool and jacuzzi, which was a huge part of why we booked this property as I was traveling with children. The construction workers literally are working all night long and aren't at all sensitive to people sleeping nearby. It's very noisy ALL night long--even with sliding door shut tight and room fan on to try and block the noise. I would have liked a warning when I was booking or checking in, the lack of sleep was a real downer. I would NOT recommend this hotel during construction and wish I'd been warned ahead of time.
