Cleanliness and affordability which are very important to me when I go away
the location is great. accessibility is wonderful. curtious staff, indoor pool and hot tub (nice on -8° days)
placed in wrong room, above an exit door (heard everyone coming and going) no turn down service, had to go to front desk for coffee, toilet paper and towels and that we forgot our leftovers in the mini fridge
30 mins from Burlington, 30 mins from Stowe, 30 mins from Sugarbush. Really friendly staff and great accommodations, would stay again! Breakfast included :)
The front desk staff, the cleanliness, the breakfast (and staff) were outstanding! The room was quiet, well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. The game room and pool were terrific. There is even a quiet lounge in the back with a library and very large TV. The staff (except the bartender) was warm and friendly. We'll be back, but we'll do our drinking elsewhere.
We didn't eat dinner, although we heard the restaurant is excellent. We came in later and my wife ordered one of the signature cocktails from the menu. The bartender (an older guy with gray hair) acted like he had never heard of it. he referred back to the menu and started to make it. He shoved a bottle under my wife's nose and asked, "Are you sure you want this?" She was startled and answered, "I guess so." When he brought the drink, it was terrible! He never asked if she liked it, so for $10, she drank a glass of ice water and ignored the drink he obviously made all wrong!
We stayed here for 4 nights and are very content with this hotel. Staff gives a very good service . The hotel is not " posh" but it is very clean and comfortable . We didn't like breakfast ( very poor) and eating area was too small.
Very polished front desk service. Thats where they seem to invest their money- training. Hot tub, but jets don't work well and view is someone's front yard. Dinner was good. Server seemed new.
Continental breakfast was terrible considering the money. Lower budget motel chains do it much better. Front area is nice but rooms are dated. It seems they cut a lot of corners to appear higher end but in the end it was not worth $200 a night. (we did comparison shop in town after we checked in). We will choose another place in town next time.
Cool pool area, private feel to the property, excellent free bkfst
Rooms a bit dated
Liked the jacuzzi and shower.
How about more hooks in the bathroom to hang things?
Breakfast they serve hot foods.
Very helpful staff. After poor sleep on the first night, we were moved to a different one for our next 3 nights. Virtually next door to Ben & Jerry's factory!
Booking.com room was next to the stair case, overlooking the car park and had a connecting door to the next room. All factors for a NOISY night! Swimming pool was highly chlorinated. Too many children at the weekend = more noise!
Friendly helpful staff at reception. Clean comfortable room. Great leisure facilities. Lovely hot breakfast.
Hotel located up a very steep incline on the outskirts of town.
Location Restaurant Bar Quiet Friendly, helpful staff Comfort of room
Plastic plates, dishes and cutlery at breakfast. Restaurant bit pricey
The advantage of this Best Western is primarily to be a few minutes from Waterbury Reservoir. The rooms are very comfortable and the hotel offers a rich breakfast.
The views and grounds.
Skip the dining room at dinner. Prices are high, portions skimpy, food quality good but heavily seasoned.
Everything. Very clean hotel. Very impressed with the facilities, pool and hot tub was exceptionally well maintained and clean. Temperature just right. Food at breakfast was perfect for us. Great coffee. Keep up the good work.
Excellent free buffet breakfast. Excellent free wifi. Bed very comfortable. Nice staff. Overall a very good hotel and reasonably priced, if in a bit of a need of a freshening up in the hallways.
Odd bathroom layout with bad toilet placement -- mentioned to staff and apparently it's a problem in most rooms but told the baths in rooms would be updated starting next year. Would not want to try to drive to/from hotel in winter as driveway and road outside hotel is very steep.
The pool and sitting area were great.
We pretty much liked everything about our stay.
Got charged more than arranged with booking.com. Noticed on my return home. I sent the hotel an email inquiry and never got a response.
Speed of maintenance to fix our door handle.
Couldn't be guaranteed a crib for baby so we brought our own. Room was small so we had to move a chair in order to place a portable crib in a convenient spot. When chair was moved, there was a nut on the floor with ants crawling on it. So, we cleaned it up. Guess they do not vacuum under furniture. Free breakfast was cold, and Café was very small.
Breakfast, pool, room
Bathroom was too big.
Excellent accommodations Great restaurant Beautiful grounds with a covered bridge
Would have preferred a suite
The hotel's location was great, not far from the village of Waterbury, a short drive to Stowe and not far from Burlington and Montpelier. The room was comfortable, friendly staff, good continental breakfast selection. An indoor pool, fitness center and game room for passing the time (with changing room). Plus a covered bridge on the west side of the hotel to give a Vermont charme.
That steep uphill road from VT 100 to the hotel.
Excellent free breakfast Excellent diningroom with good food Comfortable beds Convenient location on main highway 16 miles from mountain village of Stowe
#1 Like - Front Desk Matt - he went out of his way to provide a safe place for us to park our Can Am Spyder and trailer #2 Like - hose and cleaning rags provided for motorcycle #3 Like - Very comfortable room
Not really a dislike or major concern - hotel was just a little more money than some of the other Best Westerns that we stayed at on this trip - but no real complaint.
