Score from 133 reviews Wonderful
Homeless setting in lobby drinking coffee. Overall terrable
No breakfast. Poor wi-fi
Roundabout diner next store has unbeatable products
staff was not professional, elevators were ok, but very dirty. Room smelled of smoke.
Nice size rooms, clean, good wi fi
No breakfast like other best western hotels have. Would have preferred downtown
Kitchen was most accommodating. Great for a few couples as large clean room.
great bed in the king room
bathroom was a little small but had great water pressure
It is really close to the outlets in Kittery.
Beds were horrible. Very uncomfortable. Cleaning staff were very loud in the morning gossiping about their night. It was early and we were trying to sleep. We stayed two nights and housekeeping didn't change garbage or give us new towels. Checkout was frustrating.
Overpriced, but clean comfortable, with helpful, friendly staff.
location, two pools
I appreciate the service and I like the American people. They are very helpful and polite, they will talk to you and ask you if you need any help even if you don't ask for it,
To be honest the bed was not that very comfortable it kills my back. Apart from that, everything was perfect
wifi was not working at most the time while I was there, I could not get connection, the wifi network was disabled. This is the second time I have stayed at a Best Western hotel and had this problem. Is this a pattern for all Best Western hotels? If I were on business I would not be pleased. Even traveling for leisure people use wifi to keep in touch with family at home. Every time someone went by in the halls we could here them talking as if they were right in the room. This noise made for difficulty sleeping. These were not people being loud, they were only talking normal, but could be heard as if in room. Loved the location but next time will probably book at a different hotel.
rooms are clean and updated
no continental breakfast like other best western hotels we recently stayed at
The hotel is near Kittery Outlet and perfect for a shopping trip.
Our room was near the entrance and quite loud. There is no complementary breakfast but a diner nextby.
That it didn't have wifi and bed too small
I did not receive a receipt after payment and my bill was $10 higher then the price booked on - line.
Easy to get to off the highway. Decent for a quick overnight.
Parking was insufficient. For the price, breakfast should have been included...had to go to the "attached" diner which was over crowded and over priced. Grounds could have been much cleaner.
beds and pillows were comfortable, nice television
unit smelled like smoke even though it was non-smoking. Hair dryer is pulling out of the wall and would have liked to be able to use in part of the bathroom with the door.
Staff was friendly and efficient. Room was clean and quiet, except for a noisy mini fridge that we wound up unplugging overnight.
Rooms and hallway had an unpleasant smell - maybe strong cleaning fluid. Pillows were lumpy and the bed linens flimsy.
I stayed there for 4 nights and enjoyed it a lot. The room was very comfortable and it had fend shui that appealed to me. The bed was much to my liking. The room was clean. The bathroom was bigger than the one I have at home. The little smoking area by the indoor pool was nice and peaceful even though it's close to a major highway. The staff were very cordial and answered to my questions professionally. I ate at the Roundabout and the quality and quantity was very nice. Portsmouth is a very nice and I intend to come. Although it was located near the I-95, we did not hear any noise at all with out window open all night. The room was spacious with two beds and a nice little bar area with sink, coffee maker and also a M/V and fridge. We were able to get to shopping sites in Kittery and Newington very easily and not far from downtown Portsmouth.
Not a very scenic place and therefore, not a place where you could sit outside and just read a book. There were many families while we were there and therefore the pool areas were always busy But it was in the height of summer holidays. My friend had a bit of an issue with one front line staff member who was quite rude. For some reason, both of our cards had been demagnitized and our room was very far from the front desk (room 138). When she went back in to let them know, she asked how it could happen to both cards. The young woman stated "They are fixed now" and gave a look. A simple "So sorry for the inconvenience" would have sufficed. It could be that she is young but this is basic customer service.
Very comfortable and well equipped kitchen. Very clean. Just off the highway, but close enough to drive in a few minutes to the historic areas. Fun dinner on property.
Should have stayed longer!
The room was a good size; fit a family of 4-5 people comfortably. The indoor pool and Jacuzzi provided hours of fun for the kids. The staff was very accommodating.
Cleaning staff a little stand-offish at first, but were very accommodating once they warmed up. Some days, the pool had a strong chlorine smell which burned the eyes.
The facility was very clean and had all expected amenities, except wi-fi.
Upon arriving we were told the wifi was "automatic". Within a short time that evening, it was not accessible. Upon leaving we were told that there was a log in procedure.
Everything great, restaurant was excellent. A good location for us to do the things we wanted to do. Close to Maine and Hampton Beach.
No sign going north on Route 1 by-pass. missed the entrance and almost got hit trying to get in.
