Not very friendly reception, hallways are dark and small. Bed is not very comfortable...i reserved a family room but it's not conducive for family as quite small.
We enjoyed the proximity to shows, dining and shopping. We could walk a few feet to hit them. Beds were comfortable and we always had plenty of towels. Bathroom was very spacious.
Room was a little warm at times even without heater..but it helped we could open a window.
I traveled there with my sister and we found the location really convenient, the refurbished building had a really nice decoration, the lobby is really beautiful, the rooms have all you need. Amenities are replenished accordingly.
Our room sheets and towels weren't replace every day they would just do our beds and make our room look tidy, the bathroom cleanliness wasn't the one expected. When we arrive the person that checked us in wasn't friendly at all. I even had an issue that they delivered a package they didn't even checked my name and they called plenty of times for me to go and pick it up. As I went down from the 7th floor I realise it wasn't for me and they were rude to me.
Great location for Times Square Good value for money for area
We checked in and our bathroom had hairs all round the bath and sink and dirt like no one had bothered cleaning it. Rank. Bed was too short and covers were thin and not greatly comfortable
Location is great.
No hot water or heat in the building and hotel is starting to show significant signs of ware falling apart in quite a few places. No wifi on fith floor.
Room size Beds Run down Unhelpful night staff Rip off
Location location location
Staff had a serious new york attitude. For example when walking up to the reception the women behind the desk would spot you walking up and instead of acknowledging your presence would sink deeper into the computer screen and after twenty seconds of standing there they would finally look up and ask you what you wanted. Secondly on my exit the bell captain watched me struggle with two suitcases out the door and didn't lift a finger to help me. He was three yards away and just enjoying to see me juggle.
Best thing is its location
Poor wi-fi, poor shower, could not change the air-con/heating, rooms a bit small. Noise from outside air-con units. Poor outside view on lower floors.
#Wifi #Closeness to Times Square #Walking distance to Central Park # Friendly breakfast waiters # The hotel was on bradway # Walking distance to the USS Growler
# The taxes that were added on, it was like an extra $50 dollars a night. # On reflection, the price of the room. # Slight damage / worn furniture
Nothing only location is go
Spacious rooms Location Friendly staff
Bad internet connection in many rooms. Switched to a new room where the connction was good. The same thing happened the last time I stayed here. Hard, and sometimes impossible, to adjust heating
The location; The Wi-Fi worked pretty well in the room.
The air-con made noises so loud that would wake us in the middle of the night; The air-con leaked water on the carpet and room stunk all day long; Front Desk employees never smile (enough said); Room was quite small; Bed was categorized as King Size but it was much smaller - 151cm by 180cm.
The staff was very friendly, especially the housekeeping staff. The cleaning service was superb! Also, the bed was comfy. And of course the location couldn't be much better.
The hotel is very basic (no fancy lobby, no gym etc) but it's clean and nice. There are minor things that need fixing (a couple of ice machines were out of order, bathrooms could benefit from some upgrade etc) but those things did not affect my overall impression. Rooms are also very small but that's fine as the layout is perfecly planned.
Lobby nice, hallways scarey, rooms very run down
Location, rooms were fairly quiet
A helpful male member of staff aided me in printing out my boarding passes and certain breakfast waiters were pleasant.
Firstly I was allocated a tiny room with carpet stains and overlooking a dump of building materials. I asked for a change and got a larger room with a cracked sink, a bathtub with damaged enamel and scuffs on the walls and doors. The wifi only worked if I went out into the corridor or down to the lobby. The air in the room and corridors was stuffy. Twice I was wakened by cleaning staff knocking on my door at 8.30 a.m. although I had mentioned it to desk staff after the first time. Very poor value for money. I shall not be returning to this hotel.
The room was all we needed as we weren't spending much time there small but it had a balcony which was great! Ok views due to the built up area. Had a meal in the joining Asian restaurant which was very nice. Staff so friendly in the restaurant and 10%off when staying in the hotel. Great location and value for money
On check in and in general the staff weren't very friendly, two at the check in desk were blatantly talking about other guests in a negative way while we checked in. Not very approachable or welcoming. When I asked of they happened to have a spare adapter the lady laughed in a condescending way and said "jeeze we wouldn't have them" They had them spare in other hotels hence why I asked...The guy who helped us with our bags was on his mobile the whole time and even when I went to give him a tip he still was on a personal call no thanks from him!
can't wait to be their again soon, I loved it
Broken bed light. Mysterious wet spot in the carpet. Noisy at night.
The bed was so uncomfortable!
Being adjacent to times square also the breakfasts Thank you we had a good Time
Plumbing we had to change rooms due to the cold water being to hot( difficult to have shower)
The location was ideal.
Although it is advertised as 4 stars, it falls very short.
Not clean!! Bad stuff Small room
Vete Good location, close to subway stations
Not good maintenance, one tv was not working, and the shower threw water in every direction...
The location of this hotel was perfect, right by Times Square.
The hotel was quite pricey for what you got- the room was quite small and the bath room extremely small.
