Best Western Robert Treat  

The check in service went well after parking. The hotel was clean, safe and secure. The downtown location and relative closeness to all points in Newark and to NYC coupled with reasonable cost made our stay efficient and coat effective.

Parking was a challenge due to the lot being full upon arrival. Breakfast was just ok.

It was clean and quiet enough. The location was good. It was nice to have the breakfast available early in the morning.

The shuttle was very unreliable. Twice the driver told me the hotel had not notified him that there was someone waiting. I walked to and from Newark Penn a couple times, it wasn't far. But that isn't a great option late at night, be prepared to possibly wait at least 30 minutes both going from or to the hotel.

20 minutes from penn station manhattan - great value for price - we stay here whenever we go for any events in nyc.

Staff were very friendly, rooms were spotless and comfy! Good location to the pen station. We were very surprised, and also fantastic bus shuttles too the airport for free!

Both my son and I had a wonderful stay at The Robert Treat Hotel. I use to live in Newark many years ago and have been in Florida for over 20 years so it was absolutely fantastic to stay at this hotel which i knew of since I was a little girl. Very convenient to Penn Station which was very important to us. In addition, the shuttle to and from Penn Station was extremely convenient. In addition, we got a chance to walk to Ironbound section and have dinner one evening. Convenience all around. Staff was great. I will definitely recommend to friends and family. Next time I go to Newark I will stay at The Robert Treat Hotel.

That I was on the 8th floor and I am extremely afraid of heights. LOL Stayed away from the window.

Loved the hotel room and room service! Very clean, comfy bed. Free shuttle to penn station and the airport. Overall great hotel for the low price!

It's not really within walking distance of penn station like it states. But there is a free shuttle every 30 mins.

clean room, convenient shuttle from/to station and airport; great room rates. The hotel has a restaurant which is very useful because there is absolutely no place to eat in newark after 6pm.

Friendly staff, very clean.

I stayed in 705 and feel the rooms could be updated and not be so dark in color. Also, during the night I had to kill some "critters" in the bathroom. I also had dinner at Maize's restaurant and my steak was very tough and the dessert was also - you could not break the crust on the pie!

staff at reception - not even an attempt at a welcome. not getting a receipt for evening meal - it was put in the garbage! having to ask for receipt for stay.

Everything you need for an overnight stop over. Walking distance to shops, nice area. Staff were friendly & helpful Room clean & well appointed

food and no swimming pool. WIFI is really slow!

The lobby is beauiful. Front desk was veryfriendly.

Your rooms could be better taken care off. There was mold on bathroom wallpaper. Curtain rod was broken. Shower head was broken. The curtains had bleach stains all over it. Room 611 needs an upgrade.

walk distance to Penn station Nj,take Path train to NY only 2,25$. Save area came always late back from NY. Friendly staff ,hotel shuttle bring you to penn station if you want, next time I come back

Nothing,but some people always have to complain so for those of you ,stay home

Room is very small, towels very dingy, toilet is old, and was unable to turn on the heat. I know it is an old hotel, simple upgrades for a toilet is way over due.

It was right next to the pac which is what we were in Newark for.

We requested a smoking room but did not get one. The ice machine didn't work. We kept getting conflicting directions from the staff to nearby locations. There was nothing offered to make up for the broken ice machine or for not getting the correct kind of room. It was much to expensive for the type of hotel it was, I've normally paid more like $60 for that kind of room but it was $100.

It's location is really good ,even if you want to see NYC, you can use PATH train, 20 Min to 33th St(near to Macy's and less than 10 min to time square), or 25 Min to World Trade center and 9/11 Memorial and Wall St. or if you want to see liberty statue you can stay at this hotel, it is also 2 min from New Jersey Performing Art Center It has. It has fitting center, and computer room. There is a shuttle every 30 Min to Penn station, and Airport . The hotel has a free parking on site.

It's breakfast could be better, (they have boiled eggs, cheese, bread, juice, milk, cup cakes, coffee, fresh fruit), but over all it is OK. Speed of internet is not very good The quality of TV is not really good, In rooms near to elevator you feel some noises.
