Ideal location for us on Sunset Boulevard, West Hollywood, close to the Comedy Store, House of Blues and other entertainments and restaurants, also the old 60's rock venue the Whisky-a-go-go (open again with live bands) and Laurel Canyon for those who remember!Very handy for using the Starline sightseeing tour buses which will take you to Hollywood/West Hollywood, Santa Monica beach and la downtown, $50 pp for 48 hrs on/off travel - each trip ideally needs a day. We found the hotel very pleasant, clean and comfortable and wish we had been able to stay longer. Helpful, pleasant staff and very attractive pool area. Would definitely stay there again. Loved la!

We checked in at 7.30am after a long flight from Australia thinking that we would have to leave our luggage and come back later but Carlos on reception was extremely helpful. Checked us in straight away and invited us to have coffee in the di ing room. Our room was huge and gracious with very comfortable beds and pillows - a corner room overlooking the lovely pool/garden area. The breakfast room is small but we were happy to share our table with a nice couple from Delaware. The breakfast was more than adequate. A bonus is that the bus stops right at the door and you can catch that to cnr of Highland & Sunset (about 11 stops) Short walk to metro then 1 stop to Universal Studios. They provide a courtesy shuttle to take you up the hill. We are both in our 70s and found it very easy to do. Another bonus is that seniors (over 62) travel off peak for 25c or buy an all day ticket for $1.80. Give it a go, it's fun. Walking distance to good restaurants - try Bon Ami, great food, service and people watching and well priced. Also catch the bus to Rodeo Drive (from the opposite side of the road) walk down Rodeo Drive to the mIn shopping area. Have sandwich lunch to share and a glass of wine at The Luxe Hotel. Can you tell we had a great time in la. Oh, and don't forget to go to The Grove and definitely speak to The Concierge there. Their service is to be commended.

Excellent location. Great pool. Competent staff. Next to Sunset Tower, where my friends stayed, but BW is just as nice and half the price. Comedy Store and Laugh Factory are very close.

The location is good. It is close to some good restaurants and relatively close to Hollywood Blvd. The rooms are clean and functional. There are different room types and you need to know in advance to select the right room otherwise you will be given a budget room that is functional but not cosy. Ask to get a room on Swimming pool level or higher.

We have stayed here a number of times before because the hotel is in a great location on the Sunset Strip. Free Wi-Fi is also fantastic and a selling point for an international traveller, as so many hotels still do not offer this service free. All though the breakfast buffet is included in the price and is a good way to start the day, the actual buffet food is poor quality with not a great selection of foods.

On the Strip and not far from Beverley Hills. There is a bus stop (Route 2) outside to get to a short distance from Walk of Fame, etc or Downtown. The Starline tour route can be picked up on the opposite side of the road. Lots of places to eat and drink in the vacinity. Two minor issues which did not detract from the visit: Some noise from Sunset Boulevard but hotel was willing to move me. The breakfast is a little limited - more fresh fruit please and some cold meat.

Nice large rooms, with free wifi. Close to the Hollywood boulevard. Nice pool with free towels. Bathroom not very clean, dirty towels. Very thin walls and wooden floors, so we heard our neighbour singing the whole night. The breakfastroom was too small for the hotel, and the bread wasn't fresh.

My partner and I arrived at the hotel about 11am. The lady at reception upgraded us to a suite that faced the city of LA and that was the best ever! We had a balcony with a huge sliding door that overlooked a back street then you could see all the city lights at night. The suite was gorgeous. Massive bathroom with a spa bath and big tv. It was fantastic. We were so lucky to be upgraded. We booked our Univeral Studios tickets and transfers with the hotel the night before wanting to go and it was fine. We were picked up on time and it was great. They always had staff at reception to help you out. The complimentary breakfast was great I thought. Could even have waffles... that was tops! However the hotel doesn't have lunch or dinner facilities. We walked about 200m up the road to the house of blues for dinner and also ate lunch across the road at the Saddle Ranch... both were fantastic food. Overall this was a great place to stay. Highly recommend the Suite for a couple. We stayed in room 309 and recommend to anyone! The only bad thing was we would have the sliding door to the room open and if someone was smoking on another balcony it would stink out our room. But easy fixed was shutting the door and putting on the air con!

The location was amazing, can walk to Hollywood and all the shops in West Hollywood. Right on the strip and so close to all restaurants and bars. The pool and gardens were lovely and so well maintained. Rooms were really big and airy. Will definitely go back to LA and will stay here again.

The hotel was in a good location with the saddle ranch restaurant across the street which we would highly reccommend. It's only a short walk to the Hollywood walk of fame and not that noisy from the road as other people have commented. The breakfast was very good. We feel the hotel is too over priced for a 3 star hotel, the initial price you get looks good but after they put on the hiding costs it does make it a little over priced, a shame as it is a very nice hotel

The room we statyed in was absolutely gorgeous and they kindly upgraded us to a pool view at no extre cost as it was our last 3 days in LA. All the staff couldn't do enough for us and were always on hand for anything no matter how big or small. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this hotel to everyone. What a fantastic stay.

Spacious room with perfect outlook, large and convenient bathroom and friendly obliging staff. I found TV/remote complicated to operate - had to get help, also, as a non-coffee drinker, some tea bags would have been great.
