Best Western The Plaza Airport Hotel  

We had only one night in Honolulu and wanted to stay close to the airport. Easy access by bus both to downtown, Wikiki beach (30-40 min) and Pearl harbor (10-15 min). Good hotel for layover purposes.

hotel is next to large highway so it can get a bit noisy.

The taxes were extremely high!!! The cost per room was too high!

Only stayed overnight for flight the next day, but found the hotel very comfortable and staff very helpful and accomodating. Proximity to airport is most convenient, and also, bus stop where I took bus to the Ala Moana shopping plaza.

We used this hotel as a stopover before flying on to Maui. It was a good choice as it was 5 minutes from the airport and there was a courtesy shuttle.

This probably would not be a choice for a vacation hotel. The freeway goes right over the hotel. And it is in an industrial type area.

Location. We came from New Jersey and had no available island hopper to get to big island that night. Daylight Savings Time threw us a curve.

Everything was fine for our needs.

Near the Airport which was all I was looking for. Free internet. I was only there on a layover, and I didn't see anything that jumped out at me.

I was only there over night and did not see anything wrong with the hotel.

Nothing.

Noise. Attitude of staff. Lack of eating facilities. No bar. Asked for quiet room - got one right on the main road and oh also beside a vending machine and an ice making machine. Total and utter disaster. Question my use of booking.com as well as Best Western !

Everything was great. There was a nice residential neighborhood nearby where I was able to walk thru to get exercise.

The traffic noise never stopped. I couldn't even hear a conversation on my cell phone when by the pool. Also, the pool closed at 7:00 pm. There wasn't anywhere else outside the hotel to go after that to enjoy a nice Hawaiian evening.

I travelled at high season and am aware that the price was a bit inflated for the value. It suited it's purpose and was able to service my last minute requests of additional days added to a room.

The maid did not vacuum thoroughly and the sheets were only changed if we requested.

The staff are awesome - always really friendly and helpful. It's also really convenient to stay so close to the airport, with a free 24 hour shuttle and free WIFI, and easy, cheap public transport from just outside the hotel to the city.

Being located right below/next to an elevated freeway kind of creeps me out, although you can't really hear the traffic from the guest rooms in the main hotel building.

Its location to the airport as I had an early flight. I enjoyed the overnight I had there.

A pity it does not serve lunch!

The location was very good as it was close to the airport and the facility I was visiting.

It was very, very noisy! Not from the airport as you might expect but from the heavy traffic adjacent to the facility. I don't believe any effort had been made to soundproof the room. I have stayed at hotels where noise is a problem and usually find earplugs or other devices to mask the noise. The hotel also advertised they had a restaurant. When I went down for dinner it was closed. They offered a shuttle service to another site where I could eat which I took. The other site was a Best Western down the street where I quite possibly had the worst and most expensive of my 25 year business travel career. In addition, when it was time to return to my original hotel it was difficult to find a shuttle driver who thought it was his job to shuttle people back! I would never stay here again.

Located within a short distance to the airport when we had to catch an early flight the next day.....also was very clean!!

We were a couple and they gave us two very small double beds that were too small for both of us to sleep in so we had a bed each for the fist time for the whole of our two week holiday and on the last night of our trip....great!! Wasn't in the mood for complaining!! Should have been obvious that we were a couple!!! Also glad we were there when the restaurant was open coz I wouldn't like to try and find food on the nights it does not operate!! Tried to use the stamp machines to no avail but got no help when we asked the front desk about it as it was just one postcard!! I think some improvements could go into these things!!

It was close to airport and easy for an overnight stay. The staff were excellent. It was clean and very spacious room, ideal for recovering from long haul and getting on flight the next day.

If I hadn't been sharing the room it would have been far out of my price range

Perfect for a early departure from airport, only 5min from the terminal. A shuttle bus is available every 30 on the clock, very easy to plan. We stayed only 1 night and we did not have the time to see more than the room itself.

Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Excellent value for money. Clean. Family friendly.

It is convienient to the aiport and the adjacent business district. It has a courtesy shuttle that picks up and delivers hotl guest every 30 minute. The little shop is convienient and the restraunt is very nice, "when it is open".

The prices in the little shop are extremely inflate and I would wager that sales would increase dramatically if prices were more reasonable. The room was just adequate and in need of improved cleaing in the bathroom. Fixtures and other appointments were dated and in some cases in disrepair. Though we understand it is an issue that is somewhat out of the control of the hotel, the noise from the highway on the airport side of the building is quite obtrusive to the point of often disturbing ones sleep. Rooms on that side woud beneifit greatly from widows that dampen the noise better than the exisitng type.
