We were in Boston to see our daughter in a performance. We had our 8 year old grandchild with us. What a great staff - so friendly and helpful from calling cabs for us to loaning us a pin for the little one's dress - great service all around!! We loved it.
There is nothing I would have to criticize.
Staff Bed Service Wifi
Furnishings a bit dated
Clean, comfortable room. Full hot breakfast was great! Staff, especially Julia, were friendly and helpful.
After breakfast, coffee in the lobby was cold, so I had to take it to the room and microwave it.
The food was excellent! Very unassuming bar with fantastic help and food. The bar tender Annette was terrific!
The price was reasonable and the sleeping accommodations were satisfactory.
The staff was very casual. The check-in staff was lounging when we arrived and not particularly welcoming. We had a bite to eat at the bar where the bartender was having her own dinner. It was all fine, given the price, but this behavior wouldn't be tolerated at a better hotel.
The staff, I was welcome by somebody clearly not caring whether I was here or not. They were downright rude. The only positive point was the person working on the morning I was working, a young man named Wilson, who did his best to help me and was courteous. Also, the age of the hotel & the state of pretty much everything was really poor, especially considering the the price of the room.
Location. 7min walk to subway. Shuttle to harvard square. Shops nearby.
Had wet floor due to heavy rain. Had to switch rooms after arriving late at night.
Location, friendly staff, cleanliness and complimentary breakfast
The driveway directly into the rotary
Breakfast was outstanding
garbage can in the hall just outside my door the three days I stayed.
Good place to watch the fall leaves
I'm a Best Western rewards member and a big fan of Best Western Plus hotels generally. This one met the standards I'm used to--good breakfast, comfortable rooms, a good workspace, friendly staff.
It was unclear the best way for me to get to the hotel from the Alewife T stop. It ended up being about a .5 mile walk, so not bad, but it was late and dark and having to cross an overpass and walk past stripmalls wasn't terrific. Cambridge hotel prices though are insane, and I used the shuttle service to get to Harvard Square in the morning. Good "affordable" option if you need to save a bit of money (still over $200/night!) when staying near Harvard.
Good location and a competitive price for the area
Not easy to walk around the area versus other Cambridge properties
Loved the location, near Harvard and MIT.
bedding, cleanliness of room and hotel in general, friendliness of hotel staff, inclusion of breakfast in morning is wonderful, and location is very good - also liked hair dryer in room.
nothing in particular. Please keep doing the things that are working for you without adding burdensome costs to guests.
Need a place to stay, city (Boston)was way too expensive...location was better than others too far out of the city. It was clean, a place to lay out heads after a long day in the city!
Don't have any real complaints. Wish it was a little closer to the city.
Breakfast was too notch, but no restaurant for dinner. Staff was helpful, considerate, and knowledgable. Ten minute walk to Boston's T was a real plus!
running at the Fresh Pond Starbucks short walk to Alewife T-station close to Whole Foods
wifi was extremely slow people were smoking right outside entrance and the smell permeated lobby congested area - not as close in as I expected
Some noise (doors slamming etc) at night
Could hear noise from room above and next door. Rooms has unpleasant smell. Room out into parking lot with all night security lights.
The hotel was close to a super market and liqueur store . I found that very convenient . The room was nice and clean . For the price I would recommend it again.
The front desk staff was rude and unwelcoming . When asked questioned the young gentlemen was abrupt and border line rude .
Good , handy location, with a convenient shuttle to Harvard Square.
Sad breakfast fare. Decor is looking tired.
Shower didnt work
There are shuttles commuting between Harvard University and the hotel (the shuttle driver was a very nice guy). Overall the facility of the hotel is very good. It is close to the campus of Harvard University and free parking.
One front desk person did not have positive attitude to us. When we arrived, a wrong room was assigned to us, where somebody was still living in. We informed the person immidiately that the room was not the one we booked. The person looked angry and insisted that nothing was wrong. Fortunately, the person realized her carelessness. You know what? The person did not even say "I am sorry". Anyway, the person does not have a professional attitude to the customers.
the people were very nice and very helpful.
the light in the rooms was very bad.
Spacious and modern rooms. Unlike other Best Westerns I have stayed in the past
