Could hear noise from room above and next door. Rooms has unpleasant smell. Room out into parking lot with all night security lights.
The hotel was close to a super market and liqueur store . I found that very convenient . The room was nice and clean . For the price I would recommend it again.
The front desk staff was rude and unwelcoming . When asked questioned the young gentlemen was abrupt and border line rude .
Good , handy location, with a convenient shuttle to Harvard Square.
Sad breakfast fare. Decor is looking tired.
Shower didnt work
There are shuttles commuting between Harvard University and the hotel (the shuttle driver was a very nice guy). Overall the facility of the hotel is very good. It is close to the campus of Harvard University and free parking.
One front desk person did not have positive attitude to us. When we arrived, a wrong room was assigned to us, where somebody was still living in. We informed the person immidiately that the room was not the one we booked. The person looked angry and insisted that nothing was wrong. Fortunately, the person realized her carelessness. You know what? The person did not even say "I am sorry". Anyway, the person does not have a professional attitude to the customers.
the people were very nice and very helpful.
the light in the rooms was very bad.
Spacious and modern rooms. Unlike other Best Westerns I have stayed in the past
I love that this is a dog friendly hotel, and will be staying here all the time with our pup, as we visit family in the area often...I will suggest this to our entire family who travel to Somerville, MA
the staff (including drivers and cleaning) were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and the man in charge friendly and helpful Rooms were comfortable and well equiped
delays in taxi service
Pet friendly, and close to stores and restaurants.
Proximity to Rte. 2, Rte, 128, etc.
Price - too expensive
Front desk personnel were so accommodating, humanistic, positive and helpful. We came back from work at 10:30 p.m. and had not eaten dinner, the kitchen was closed, but they made us grilled cheese sandwiches. That was wonderful!
I would have wanted more of a variety for breakfast as I had a very long day:(
Good location near Alewife T stop (about a half mile). Strip mall nearby with Starbucks, Whole Foods etc..
Free parking, breakfast buffet
The front desk staff was great. Very personable and helpful.
Just a little far out from Harvard, but the shuttle bus was a big help.
I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I loved the convenience of the train station to the hotel. I really liked the fact that when we booked our room this also allowed us to have a buffet style breakfast the following day.
One member of staff was particularly unhelpful. All others were good though!
Free breakfast was great!! Good variety of food, and a pleasant place to sit and enjoy it. Our room was clean and very comfortable. Very close to the Alewife T station, so we were in down town Boston in less than half an hour.
toilet stopped up - but was fixed fast. did not want towels changed daily - they were not on the floor - but were changed anyway.
several staff members were particularly courteous and helpful the shuttle service was great
the rooms were in need of an update/renovation. windows didn't open :( mattresses were particularly stiff
Staff was very friendly. Room was a good size and was clean. Shuttle was very helpful. Breakfast was good.
I wasn't thriiled about paying as much as we did, but I realize the price was good for the city and the events that were taking place at the time.
Awful place with crazy rates terrible breakfast and awful staff. Totally regret my visit
- Super expensive - HORRIBLE MATTRESSES - STINKY HALL AND STINKY ROOMS - VERY POOR BREAKFAST (FRUITS WERE ROTTEN INSIDE!!!) - THE HOTEL IS AWFUL, CHEAP AND POOR IN EVERYTHING - AWFUL PEOPLE TO INTERACT WITH!!! - FREE PARKING IS PROVIDED ONLY IF YOU DO NOT USE BOOKING.COM TO MAKE YOUR RESERVATION, THIS IS ABSURD!!! I WILL NEVER USE THIS HOTEL EVER AGAIN IN MY LIFE AND I WILL SUGGEST ALL MY FRIENDS IN BOSTON TO ABSOLUTELY AVOID IT AND DISSUADE ALL FRIENDS AND FRIENDS OF FRIENDS TO EVEN STEP INTO IT. I'LL IMMEDIATELY SPREAD THE WORD ALSO ON FACEBOOK BECAUSE THIS HOTEL STINKS AND THEY CHANGE CRAZY AMOUNTS FOR A CRAPPY PLACE THAT MADE AWFUL OUR STAY IN BOSTON. I CAN'T REMEMBER WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME I HAD SUCH A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE IN A HOTEL!!! A MOTEL WOULD HAVE SERVED US DEFINITELY BETTER!!! STAY OUT OF THIS PLACE, IT WOULD MAKE YOUR STAY SERIOUSLY AWFUL.
room very clean, staff very friendly breakfast a plus
a bit too pricey
