Located along Interstate 94, this Wilmette, Illinois hotel is 28 minutes’ drive north of the Chicago city centre. Each room includes a full kitchen with a stove and dishwasher.
Score from 11 reviews Wonderful
This downtown Chicago hotel is next to Millennium Park and 2 blocks from The Art Institute of Chicago. It offers stunning city views, on-site dining and elegant rooms with free Wi-Fi access.
Score from 2352 reviews Good
Ideally located in downtown Evanston, this 4-star hotel features 2 restaurants, a well-equipped gym and rooms with a 32-inch flat-screen TV. Northwestern University is just 2 blocks away.
Score from 62 reviews Very good
Set in the heart of Glenview, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, this all-suite hotel offers spacious accommodations with contemporary amenities in a prime location near O'Hare International Airport.
Score from 81 reviews Very good
closeness to train stations (2). Closeness to NWU. Breakfast bar. Neighborhood eateries.
Construction work. Non heated pool.
I like the proximity to Northwestern U. We were able to walk everywhere we needed to go.
The wi-fi was really slow, which upset my teen-aged stepdaughter.
excellent free buffet breakfast
exercise room very small and not all equipment was in working order
Great location, extremely friendly staff, and clean and comfortable rooms. The free breakfast is nice as well.
Seemed to have a little trouble connecting to Wi-Fi.
The price was right, and the location was good if you are traveling to Chicago by car.
I reserved a king bed. The hotel only had a regular size bed. The parking garage needs to be resurfaced and convex mirrors added for safety. The halls are poorly lighted. One of two treadmills was broken. The elliptical wobbled so much it felt unsafe. The floor lamp in the room was not fully secured to it's base. A screw was missing in a dresser draw handle. The breakfast eggs were mixed with ham. We do not eat ham. There was no "lite" yogurt. The coffee was not hot. The water for my wife's tea was lukewarm.
2.5 blocks from public CTA transportation. The staff was very friendly and was available to answer any questions we had. Many choices with the included breakfast. Waffles, eggs, biscuits & gravy, muffins, pastries, cereal, coffee, tea, juices, bagels, toast, fruit.... The beds were very comfortable and nice views outside. My family and I will definitely be back!
7:am breakfast should start earlier
Kudos to housekeeping. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable.
After checking in I was advised that the room I had reserved would not be the one I was getting. That was not a big deal. water would be out for a little bit the next day. Apparently a little while is 5+ hours. That is not okay. Also, the parking garage is less than stellar at the best.
Easy walk to restaurants, shops. Comfortable bed and pillows. Pleasant room.
Communication between front office and housekeeping was "off." Housekeeping didn't seem to know if guests were staying, checking out, or had already checked out.
Overall, I was pleased. I did not use the in house computers, but my son had trouble logging into the wi-fi. He chose not to call the tech #...
The staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating
14$ a night for parking
Room rate! Front desk was very helpful during construction. The location to Northwestern was excellent. Also discount agreement with local restaurant across the street.
Renovations. WiFi needs improving.
Liked the location, the room and bed were very comfortable and loved the young lady who checked us in and accommodated are needs with absolutely no hassle.
Thee first morning we had breakfast there was no coffee.
The location near the CTA "L" Purple line stop "Dempster" was very convenient. We didn't need a car to visit Chicago. The front desk staff were friendly, helpful and informative. Across from "Prairie Moon" and 4 other restaurants. Walking distance to most of the Evanston town hot spots and shops.
Our first room on the 3rd floor had not been renovated. Bath faucet leaked. We were moved to 8th floor which had newly renovated bathrooms and a view over Evanston. It was quiet and very comfortable for our extended stay in Evanston.
Prepaid for my friends, but the hotel charged my credit card for double amount. Complained through email, no one replied me.
The room was clean and comfortable. Nicely updated.
The lobby and the halls were a little shabby and stuffy. The ventilation in the room was not easy to control.
Great location for a PITT tour. Renee who drove the shuttle was more than helpful. Brandi and Cathy (from NYC) were a great help in making sure we understtod the hotel logistics and area restaurants. Roberta in the restaurant was really nice and attentive.
Hallways were warm. Lack of exhaust fan in bathroom.
We stayed in a refurbished king room that was very comfortable, and had everything. The 'L' purple line, with a regular train service into Chicago CBD, is just across the road, with a short walk to the station. (We have been to many of the great cities in the world, but we found Chicago outstanding.) There is an adjoining car park with direct access to the hotel.
The garage is an eyesore, with tricky access for luggage to some levels. Only one of two elevators was working for most of our stay.
breakfast was poor
The simplicity Location
1.There was renovation going on and we heard a lot of drilling sounds 2.The help to carry the laguage up to our rooms and the attitude of some receptionists for this problem 3.Rugs in the corridors made Rolling our bags twice hard 4.Colors in the room , too Depressing
The location was great! Near lake Michigan, Northwestern University and we loved the city of Evanston. It had a quaint feel but had a lot to offer. Would definitely come back! Thank you for extending or check out time to 1! We really appreciated that.
Can't think of anything.
Very comfortable beds and pillows.
Quiet, location ok
No phone and wheelchair lift was difficult to use and ramp was too steep
We chose this hotel for being close to what we had to do; final memorial service for my daughter. The staff made every effort to correct misunderstandings that came up. They were compassionate for our situation and made sure to ease our already burden. Our family was in town to do the third memorial service for my daughter who passed in May. We traveled from MN the first service, WI the second service and IL the final service. With in 42 hours, we made the journey. Having the hotel 'buffer' the traveling load, was a huge help. Our family enjoyed the 'free' breakfast, and my son's got to go down memory lane by way of their room's skyline. We are former Evanston & Chicago residents. Now we live in MN. If I had to use hotel again, I would. Thank you
Parking price for guest. Should have been posted to future guest. And parking ramp's been like that for YEARS! Needs to be redesigned. Hotel map of guest rooms, might need to be redesigned clearly showing which rooms do connect. Hosting web sight should know for sure about what property offers. We were suppose to have the king-size bedroom with a let-out couch. There was no let-out couch. We were compensated with roll-away bed at no charge; never the less, it would have been a smoother stay had some important matters were known in the beginning and not have happened to begin with. Over all, I'd stay again.
The location is very strategic, close to public transportation, restaurant, entertainment area and grocery store. The cleaner is very trustworthy and trying to provide what we need by learning our habits. I really recommend this hotel to our family and friends and even to those whoever wants to stay in Evanston area.
