Ideally located in downtown Evanston, this 4-star hotel features 2 restaurants, a well-equipped gym and rooms with a 32-inch flat-screen TV. Northwestern University is just 2 blocks away.

Score from 55 reviews Very good
In an ideal location directly connected to the McCormick Place convention center, this hotel has contemporary accommodations and first-class amenities and services, and is a short drive from downtown...

Great shower. Comfy bed& pillows. Fair breakfast items. Beautiful view. Good location for us. Friendly desk staff
Tricky parking- didn't like that it wasn't included in hotel price. Sink pipes leaked a bit. Bedside Lamp outlet didn't work. Slooooow flushing toilet - never over-flowed but it worried me w/ each flush.
Location-close to Evanston downtown and NU
Aircon-the auto adjustments of temp control was so loud, I could hardly sleep a longer period of time without being waken by the sound. Breakfast-perhaps the most unimpressive breakfast we had ever had.
Proximity to downtown Evanston was good. Some of the front desk staff were helpful and pleasant but not all. Breakfast option was good but would have been better if opened earlier.
Friends who heard we were staying at Best Western grimaced and said "You're staying at the 'Hooker Hotel?'. We laughed until we saw some evidence that this might be true. People were lurking around the building -- especially the parking lot -- and we were uncomfortable with the fact that there seemed to be no security anywhere. The fact that building is under construction is hopeful for the future; presently the building is dark, dusty and out-of-date. The appearance of the outside of the building is terrible.
Convenience for Evanston amenities
The reason we chose a hotel at Evanston was the scandalous prices at Chicago (2nd week of September) cleanliness space bathroom high floor
breakfast so so way back from Chicago every night
great free breakfast, comfortable bed and pillows in big , quiet rooms
Staff and guests were nice and friendly The room is as in the pictures
Does not have a ramp a the entrance. It has an elevator for handicap guests but suitcases don't fit so I had to carry them up the stairs when checking in and down the stairs when leaving. Very ugly building from the outside, ugly entrance, doesn't even look like a hotel entrance and as the reception is further in on the left no one is there to see you and help you. Corridors and common areas seemed very old and used
The staff are very helpful and friendly. Room is clean and comfort. Only a few minutes to downtown evanston. Easy to find restaurants nearby. If you are not happy with the breakfast provided at hotel, there are always cafés nearby opened very early in the morning.
This place, especially the exterior, is a bit run-down. The lobby is dull and smells. The scrambled egg served at breakfast was too rich and sweet. Breakfast options are limited.
Plenty of space, close to the university, good complementary parking, internet and breakfast, people very pleasant. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and the rooms a pleasant surprise
Arrived late at night expecting a place in a University environment, instead it seemed like a run down neighbourhood with odd parking facilities and a musty lobby.
I liked the location near Northwestern University, it is within walking distance.
The train passes near, and it is loud and frequent. The breakfast was not that great. We were on the 12th floor and water pressure was a problem, at times we had no water, sometimes a small dribble, and others full pressure.
In good location, accesible to CTA and friendly staff.
Sleep was disrupted by folks coming home after bar time. Also was located by ice machine. Definitely ask for room away from elevators and ice machine.
Closeness to eating and shopping and Loyola University (3.5 miles away of nice driving).
Learning that I could obtain a $10+/night discount IFI HAD KNOWN That Best Western offered to families of students entering either NW or Loyola University. 2nd: $14/night parking is rediculous. The street was torn-up and this fee on top of other costs were upsetting. Absorb the parking if staying there multiple nights. We were there 3 nights.
Nice view from large windows Very Comfortable Bed Free Breakfast Very clean Secured Parking
Very good location Decent breakfast Great view from the 12th floor
Best price in the immediate area (through booking.com) Clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, solid WiFi, great shower, tasty and filling breakfast included. On-site parking.
Hm. Thinking hard ... the driveway was really steep into the parking garage?
Everything was fine for me. Nothing to complain about. Close to CTA Station to get to Chicago (so you don't have to search a (expensive) parking lot there. Ony a few minutes to drive to next Interstate.
Depending on where your room is you can here train noise. Parking fee could be cheaper for hotel guests.
The room was nice. The lady checking us was brilliant. Listened to my complaint & refunded me a night.
Been woken up at 9 from the builders in the room below us.
closeness to train stations (2). Closeness to NWU. Breakfast bar. Neighborhood eateries.
Construction work. Non heated pool.
Building was under construction as well as the street and as a result was loud and dirty
People there is very kindly and helpful! Delicious breakfast! It takes about 40 minutes to get there by taxi from O'Hare airport for $35-40. Has a gym.
Not very near to public transport which may double you budget in taking taxi. Itself is a little expensive when take into account of tax.
I like the proximity to Northwestern U. We were able to walk everywhere we needed to go.
The wi-fi was really slow, which upset my teen-aged stepdaughter.
excellent free buffet breakfast
exercise room very small and not all equipment was in working order
Great location, extremely friendly staff, and clean and comfortable rooms. The free breakfast is nice as well.
Seemed to have a little trouble connecting to Wi-Fi.
The price was right, and the location was good if you are traveling to Chicago by car.
I reserved a king bed. The hotel only had a regular size bed. The parking garage needs to be resurfaced and convex mirrors added for safety. The halls are poorly lighted. One of two treadmills was broken. The elliptical wobbled so much it felt unsafe. The floor lamp in the room was not fully secured to it's base. A screw was missing in a dresser draw handle. The breakfast eggs were mixed with ham. We do not eat ham. There was no "lite" yogurt. The coffee was not hot. The water for my wife's tea was lukewarm.
2.5 blocks from public CTA transportation. The staff was very friendly and was available to answer any questions we had. Many choices with the included breakfast. Waffles, eggs, biscuits & gravy, muffins, pastries, cereal, coffee, tea, juices, bagels, toast, fruit.... The beds were very comfortable and nice views outside. My family and I will definitely be back!
