Score from 1346 reviews Very good
the WIFI worked. Lots of ice in ice machine. Breeze on the balcony
The breakfast was a bit of a let down and the coffee was really horrible. we opted not to eat there our last morning. other than that it was a nice experience
It was a pleasure to stay at your hotel everyone was very nice. the beds and room were comfortable and a shower chair was delivered promptly upon request.
The load construction banging out the front window at 8am in the morning couldnt really sleep in
We didn't like the construction noise every morning early. Also we stayed on the second floor and the pool was below our room we had to listen to several rowdy families in the pool until after midnight. Not ideal with young children.
We liked the location and the friendly staff.
We had a room facing a not so fabulous parking lot and the apartments right in back of the hotel (not too classy). Also our room was right off the parking garage and when I asked if there was another room available because I was traveling alone with my two children, I was told "I'm sorry we are all booked for the night." Not sure this was true, as there were MANY vacant parking spots in the small structure.
The location of the hotel in relation to the marina was great!
The location is not good with respect to road noise. I had to wear ear plugs at night so the traffic didn't keep me up. Other than that we were very happy with the hotel.
Location and pool/spa
Got charged twice on my credit card
Room was clean, and the beds were comfortable, and plenty of FREE parking. Although we did get traffic noise, we tend to get up fairly early, so that was a non-issue for us. My kids enjoyed the pool, and having a free hot breakfast helps keep dining costs down. For other meals, there are lots of great restaurants within walking distance.
I had specifically requested a room with a Harbor View and stated that if it couldn't be guaranteed to cancel my reservation. Got a call back from Day and was assured that type room. When we arrived, we did not have Harbor View. Travis tried to suggest a room to us but thought we might not like it, which was right. The room was right by the stairs with zero privacy-people going up and down the stairs could see into the room. We would have had to pull the drapes, which would have negated the Harbor View, so we went back to the original room. Thanks for trying, Travis :) The bed only had a thin blanket plus the coverlet that one normally doesn't use. I was so cold that first night. Asked for a thicker blanket and was left with just another coverlet. The internet was spotty, at best. I couldn't use it at all on my phone as it just kept loading and loading and the night girl at the front desk wasn't very helpful (didn't know what she was doing). The air conditioning couldn't be turned off, which was a big problem for me, as I hate air conditioning. Breakfast was bad at best. Too small of a room for so many people, too long of a line waiting for sausages, eggs, that were out most of the morning, just to toast bread took forever and the wait was long...I Ended up just eating a yogurt that was frozen almost solid. Though the staff tried, I would not stay there again and can't really recommend the hotel. And for the service and (dis)comfort we received, it was way overpriced at $115+tax per night. Should have stayed at a Motel 6, instead.
The staff upon check-in (Travis) was friendly, tried to be helpful, even though he couldn't be. He tried and made a good effort and I appreciate it. Housekeeping, upon me leaving a note of things I was missing, tried their best to rectify the situation with the tools they had. Thank you for that! Overall the room was clean and the staff on Friday evening was friendly....less so the staff on Sunday morning who weren't very helpful (knowledgeable), or just didn't have the authority to help.
Breakfast very plain
Construction and loud traffic makes for a bad morning. AC leaked and no type of compensation. Tight fit as you walk I to the bedroom from the hallway. Maybe it was properly priced for what we got.
Housekeeping cleaning out room while we were away. Making it relaxing to come back to
Staff was excellent! The room was very well designed, very new and great colors. Balcony with chairs. You can adjust the AC temperature literally by half degrees. Everything was perfect.
Wifi had poor connection
Everything was awesome
The service was terrible. Our room wasn't furnished completely.
Breakfast was decent for being continental
Noise from construction we couldn't open door to balcony at times. Jacuzzi not working properly, jets were very weak. Fridge too tall did not allow space to hang clothes properly
Free parking, free wifi, free breakfast. Cleanliness, balcony view
rainny day in winter of San Diego , but air conditioner does not work in heating mode, my wife fill cold in room. Employee trying to fix the heating mode about half an hour but the air conditioner still not work.
standard best western wifi is ok, not far from airport and 10 min drive to downtown San Diego. free parking and breakfast included.
Rooms face a boulevard thatis in construction. Since the exterior walls of the rooms are all made of glass/window, it is extremely, incredibly noisy, even with ear plugs.Construction is supposedly from 8 am to 5 pm but it went on later...and forget about sleeping in. The rest of the time, just the cars rolling by make noise because of the grooves left on the pavement. If you want to come to this hotel, you should definitely wait until construction is over. Then, if regular traffic noise of a busy boulevard through a single pane wall/window is no problem, then you'll be fine.
Location in Point Loma - San Diego is good and near beaches across from marina.
I paid for a room with a view and I didn't have it. It is advertise HBO it didn't have it. And I should be advise about the construcción going on!
Is very clean
