We stayed there three nights - Apr 8,9, 10. /room 606. I received insect 61 bites on on face and body. Bites exactly resembled the bedbug bites seen in photographs. The ones on face oozed pus, and the itching has lasted until this morning (April 17.)

The Hotel Staff were very pleasant. Despite the heater being out of operation during my stay, the hotel was prepared by offering extra blankets and space heaters which were very effective at warming to room enough for a comfortable nights sleep.

It is a nice boutique hotel, close to downtown with reasonable prices and a nice, helpful staff It's in a very noisy area and the sound proofing is not strong. The rooms dont have much in terms of utilities. Cheap and cheerful is perhaps an accurate representations.

It was a good budget hotel in a very good location. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room clean. It was all we asked for in accommodation for our two days in sf. We would stay there again.

It was nicely decorated...cute theme of movies. We couldn't sleep at all because of the loud yelling coming from the street. There appeared to be several clubs where the patrons were extremely loud almost all night. Also our room was too hot and we couldn't control the climate. The staff gave us a fan and earplugs when we complained. We ended up transferring to another hotel the next night because of these factors. Also the neighborhool, although close to Union Square, was a little "dicey."

Comfortable, some staff were very helpful It's in the ghetto. It's surrounded by hobos that howl at the moon at night, piss in the streets and stink up the whole place. Not the hotel's fault really, but still... Awful surroundings.

I liked the combination of budget with personality (the theater theme). The room was a little cramped, but okay for a single person only using it to sleep and go. Leaving at 5:00 A.M. I was met by no coffee and a curt and surly clerk.

Nothing - I cannot recommend this hotel Awful - no-one at the desk for check-in, noisy room (next door to the sports bar), small gray towels, old and dingy room .... nothing linked to the movie theme in my room, small bathroom, 35 minutes to retrieve my car in the morning

The location of this hotel is fantastic. It is only a block away from the corner where the cable car makes its turn at the end of Powell Street. It is also on the fringe of a bad neighborbodd but as long as you don't go beyond the corner of the hotel, it is fine. Also, lots of police regularly patrol the area so it is safe. As noted by other reviewers, there are lots of drunks hanging around the area due to the liquor store across the street from the hotel but police patrol often to ensure the drunks stay away from the hotel doors. The hotel is no frills but is clean. The windows are not double paned so outdoor sounds do sound loud if you are not used to city noise (e.g. ambulances, police horns and people talking as they pass by the hotel). We were on the 4th floor but the sounds still travel up. Overall, we would stay here again. The low flow shower head was really awful. It was a super low, low flow showerhead. It took me three times longer to rinse out the shampoo from my hair so not so sure that a low flow shower head helped the hotel save money on water.

It's a good location for central San Francisco, however, in hindsight, I think I would have preferred to stay somewhere like Haight. The area is really busy - lots of sirens, people out on the town etc. so if your room looks out onto the main road then you will most likely hear a lot of noise whilst you try to sleep. The rooms were adequate - nothing fancy. We never took advantage of the free film showings. Our first night was extremely noisy due bad windows and our room facing the main street - even with ear plugs! The room was also quite shoddy - lights didn't work etc. However, we requested a quieter room for the remainder of our stay and this was done for us. The second room was much quieter and more comfortable.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. On the day I checked out, I left my luggages in the hotel and went on a city tour. They held my luggages in a secure area until 7:00 pm when I return. Very nice service.
