The hotel itself is very nice and staff is very friendly.
The homeless hang out spot is right across the street from the hotel windows. These people are very loud at night, they scream, fight, and play loud music. It was hard to sleep first night. Wifi was choppy and asked to relogin every couple of hours.
Location is very convenient to public transportation and shopping. Room and bathroom was decent size for SF. Had inside room so very quiet.
Low water pressure in shower. Pillow was too soft.
Close to public transportation. Helpful staff.
The staff was very nice and helpful.
Due to a convention the prices were more than tripled. This was definitely not value for money (it was just a standard hotel room: bed, tv, shower). During the night we woke multiple times due to shouting from street (we were on the 6th floor I think). My girlfriend didn't feel safe. Parking is impossible and costs 40 dollars per night.
The Hotel is located close to the Bart Station "Powell St" so it is very easy reachable from the airport. Busses, Cable Car, Metro and a variety of shopping locations are around the corner as well. The room was big enough, everything functioned and was clean. The stuff was nice and helpful. The reception is permanently manned.
The breakfast is not included in the price. The area around the hotel is crowded with beging people and drugdealers. But the doors are locked up during the night and police and security officers have been present most of the times.
The room is cozy, relaxing, and not dark (gloomy). The staff are accommodating. Good breakfast.
Showerhead spray less water and it takes time for us to finish washing all soaps and suds.
The staff helpfull, the location excellent
Noisy location, bad sleep, homeless in the from door
The location near Powell station is very comfortable. So easy to get around from there.
Eddy Street is very loud , so no sleeping with open window. Many homeless people around. The hotels website says 'luxury" and there is no justification for this wording.
Front line staff was excelent
The manager was very nice and polite. She speaks few languages. Room is very clean and comfortable. The location is great. And they show old movie at night and gave you glass of vine!
The room was clean.
The graveyard front desk guy gave the worst customer service ever!! He should be working in a jail than a hotel. The tv did not work at all.
Did not get a lot for your money in comparison to cheaper and nicer places we stayed at through our trip, very disappointed for the money we spent and what we got.
Almost everything, very friendly staff, very good value for money for a city like San Francisco.
Homeless fighting and yelling in the street all day long.
- clean und nice rooms - friendly staff
- expensive parking like everywhere in SanFran
noise from across the street during late hours
I enjoyed the convenience of my closeness to the Civic Center and Downtown. Plus the staff is very kind and attentive. They assisted me in the best way possible to ensure my stay was pleasant. I have stayed there before, and never had a complain about Anything.
The guest before me left used towels in the bathroom, and they weren't picked up. Also a box of pizza, and a bag for ice. I assume Housekeeping did not fully clean the room after the previous guest. I went to check in, and was told check in time was at 3pm. I should've called before arriving, but they did offer and stored my luggage and let me use a private restroom at my time of arrival. Also they provided me fresh towels and toiletries upon request.
WiFi was not working all the time. Breakfast...what Breakfast. It could be better.
Great location for the price
Everything about the hotel was really good, the facilities, the location, the staff was really helpful. Walking distance from public transportation and shopping area.
It was really noisy at night because of all the homeless people in the neighborhood.
It is located near Union Square, close to BART so it is easy to get to from the airport. The staff was exceptional, friendly, helpful and the hotel is very well-maintained and redone.
The location is next to Eddy St where there are lots of homeless people hanging around as well as a club that was noisy most of the night. If we had a room that didn't face Eddy St. I am sure it would have been quieter and more enjoyable.
systems were not working. Old TV's. very very bad reception. computer printers not wotking. undependable Internet
Attractive paint, interesting theme. Good sheets, towels and shower. Very close to Union Square.
Would rather have duvet covers as bed spreads did not feel clean enough.
Central location close to Powell BART and Powell/Mason cable car terminus.
Location is perfect! They serve free hot water and coffee, tea, hot chocolate are great! The staffs are very nice and friendly~If you want to save your budget and stay in super convenience place, you can choose this hotel.
We have 4 people stayed in a double room, it's too small! The room looks like only for 2 people. I required for a quite room when I had booking online, but my room is next to mason street, even though we stayed in 6th floor, it's still too noise at midnight! But they served ear plugs, it's works!
Excellent location! Nice personal touch
Elevator was broken the whole 5 day period we were there and our room was in the 6th floor. Not so nice! Wi-Fi was unstable and signal weak.
