The inn was very beautiful. The common rooms were beautifully decorated and comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious. The location could not have been better, as a base to explore Lenox and the Berkshires.
Unfortunately, our room (#6) had not been updated. Over the course of our stay, we were able to see a few other rooms and ours was by far, the most outdated. Even basic amenities like a towel holder in the bathroom and a soap shelf in the shower was missing (I was told they are replacing the soap shelf but they could have placed something in the interim. They did, once we finally complained). The innkeeper was nice but not exactly friendly.
We had a great time.. Breakfast was amazing every morning.. Love how close it was to Town. The charm just oozed from the Inn. The innkeeper was delightful and loved that dogs were allowed,
No TV in room.. we did not miss it but it should be there.
Lovely, authentic B&b vibe. Attention to guests needs..dietary and otherwise. Attentive staff.
Rm was small..beds to small in third floor oom. However the second floor room was large & comfortable
Liked to be able to walk in to Lenox to shop. Food was outstanding. Everyone pleasant. Gardens beautiful.
Third floor room was a bit of a hike for old knees. Should have booked on the second floor
Location, ambiance, friendliness, concern for guests' comfort, lots of little touches and amenities, Mike and Quincy and Quinn (the golden retriever)
The innkeeper was very nice, and we liked her dog!
The bathroom for room 8/9 is not attached to the room, but is across the hall. For $300+ per night, we expected better.
Loved the breakfast and afternoon tea.
everything was excellent.
our private bathroom was down the hall.
Great location and hospitable staff. Spacious sitting rooms, cute dining room, delicious breakfast. Nicely remodeled private bathroom.
I wouldn't recommend the smaller room, it was not worth the price. Antique furniture was not comfortable or functional. Hard to adjust the heat, needed to open the window at night. Bathroom was cold, smelled of cigarette smoke, and could benefit from more than one towel hook, a larger hair dryer and the mirror hung higher. A medium sized dog walked in and out of the kitchen during breakfast and begged at all the tables while diners were eating.
