After a booking error and a conversation with the manager, we had our deluxe king room upgraded to a king suite. We could not be happier with our stay at the Wyndham Blake. Thank you. A suite should have a refrigerator. Also, it's 2011. It's time for all higher end hotels to have connections for an iPod or mp3 player.

We were interested in visiting the museums so it was a good location for that Booking.com said our reservation included a continental breakfast and Wyndham said that no longer applies, that we were "misled". Also not a good area for restuarants; had to cab it everywhere

The location was great, it allowed us to get to all transportation within a 2 block radius. The Desk staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. The door staff very courtious and help with suggestions on things when we asked. Overall we had a wonderful stay at the Blake, and would reccomend to friends. . We had breakfest included at the Custom House next door, I would not reccomend this to anyone, it was terrible

The friendliness of the staff and the willingness to help with bags and information. Also, I liked the bathroom with a shower that one could step into rather than step over a tub. The room was always clean which is important to me. Parking is so expensive. Would like to pay $25.00 per day and be able to use the car instead of leaving it in the parking facility.

The staff is exceptionally kind and helpful - every time we came and went they were almost tripping over each other to say "welcome back" or "can I help you with anything today" Really nice. And that extended to the on-site restaurant, the Custom House Tavern - again, incredibly attentive staff (and a gourmet meal!) There were only two things that I found subpar - they would not stop me from staying at the Wyndham Blake again, but they are not up to what I expect at a hotel of this caliber: 1) the television was a small older model, not a flat screen - its the first hotel in about a 2 years I've stayed at with an old TV! 2) the continental breakfast that came with my room was pretty sparse - the choice was a bran muffin, or some not-ripe bananas, or some apples. The coffee was great, but again, I haven't seen that slim of a breakfast selection in a long time. It would be easy to boost it just a little with yogurt, toast, and a selection of 1 or two cold cereals. There was the opportunity to buy a cooked breakfast in the restaurant, but I don't think that should preclude the availability of a decent continental breakfast.

Excellent location, very close to the city center, the museums and the attractions Value for money The room was very cold - something very bad for a city like Chicago where you need to be as warm as you can while you are inside! We complained to the receptionist and after one day noone had come to the room. We complained more intensely the following day and the handyman came, went directly to the window and informed us that it was not properly closed! Of course the window was broken and would not close! After promising me that he would fix the window and also check the air conditioning, I left the room assured that when we would be back it would be warm at last. The same night we came back and the room was once again cold! So we went to the reception and required another room. They gave us the suite but asked us to colect all our stuff (it was 11.30 at night) because the cleaning lady would go to the room at 7.30, of course this was a lie!. Therefore, we stayed 3 days in a cold room in Chicago. Not good!!

Location, room size The air conditioner noise was too loud, not able to sleep. Front desk gave us directions to a restaurant that does not exist. Ruined my anniversary.

I thought your staff was very cheerful and helpful with maps and planning our day. the room was comfortable but small, nice high ceilings though. The bed was too hard but spacious and the hotel was very clean.Shower was great!!! Room size tall but skinny toilet tank didn't match toilet, soap wasn't replaced after first day, and furnace was loud.

Excellent location right in the heart of Chicago. Friendly helpful staff. Very nice rooms Breakfast was very expensive at 47USD for 2 omelettes, 2 coffees & 2 orange juices. No problem, we ate across the road at Starbucks the rest to the time.

The room was large and very clean. Comfortable bed and an excellent overhead 'rain' shower. Hotel staff were very friendly and recommended an excellent blues club around the corner to go to. The charged a fifty dollar pet fee for our small dog. This information was not given at the time of booking and was difficult to find online. I would have stayed elsewhere given how expensive the fee was. Most pet friendly hotels only charge ten dollars. They should make this info available to the customer before hand.

Pretty rooms. My room smelled terrible and I had to switch in the middle of the night. The shower was cold. The room I switched to had a problem with the fire alarm and it made a loud clicking noise all night.

This hotel was fabulous, the doorman was extremely nice and accommodating. Room was beautiful and had everything I needed. Location was good, decent walking distance to most places. Other then the doorman the rest of the staff was so so, I stayed by myself at this hotel and no-one really "wowed" me with the friendliness or service. The only real complaint that I have is that I requested a non-smoking room (which I received) but I think I was in very close proximity to the smoking rooms because my room smelt badly of smoke on a regular basis.

The concierge and desk service is exemplary. The beds are the most comfortable in which we have slept. All in all, we love the people that work at the Blake. They are wonderful. We come to Chicago every year and always stay at the Blake. I wish they would have some discounts for regular visitors from time to time. We were put in handicapped rooms 2 years in a row. We did receive an upgrade this year, but only after we told the desk that we were promised this last year and didn't receive it. We also miss the breakfast buffet.

Clean and helpful staff I was put in room 324, a corner room with 2 sets of large windows. The windows were too thin as I could hear conversations from street level. In addition, there were blinds on the windows with no curtains so the lights from the gas station accross the street shined in all night.

At the Wyndham Blake Chicago, I enjoyed and appreciated the super comfortable mattress, spacious room, and hospitable staff! The air vents were dirty and dusty air coming out, mainly noticed this in the restroom. The restroom needed some maintenance- hole in wall near toilet paper holder and shower dripping (couldn't shut water flow completely off).
