Fan coil in the room was very noisy and stat not user friendly.
The warm welcoming and clean rooms
The unusual noise from exhuast system in bathroom especialy at night
Large room very comfortable king bed and roomy bathroom close to Blue line from airport
Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The porter was the very best, always upbeat and personable. The restaurant was a great place to have breakfast before a day on the town. Would stay again if I go back to Chicago.
When we left the porter sent us in what appeared to be a private vehicle instead of a cab and I think we were over charged for the short ride it was to Union Station.
Location and friendly staff.
Sound proof abit lacking.
Great location for the blue train line from Chicago Airport and for the Greyhound bus station.
LOCATION was great! Not crowded and a short walk to anywhere. Still in the middle of the active downtown, but like a lil private pocket of calm
Room was like a hot oven.. The heat control wasn't working.. Had to ofen open windows.. Atlast Switched it off.
Loved our room on the third floor with huge windows and a view of the Sears Tower. Room 321.
We were going to see Buddy Guy at Legends. Location was perfect. We will stay there again!
The location convienance and staff were helpful. The parking issue and cost was not great.
Parking location and room service menu was very limited, and the no one even offered to help me with my bags.
Customer service was excellent, from doorman to concierge to maid service. The hosts and maître d' of the Café Melia offered tremendous service and wonderful food -- not a false note. The location is super-convenient to the trains and easy to maneuver. Very clean, quiet and comfortable.
Since this is an older hotel, there was evidence of aging: some wallpaper needed repair, furniture needed touching up, and it was evident that the hotel had undergone some remodeling by the way the crown molding edges did not meet or were incomplete. A refrigerator in each room would have been really helpful for travelers.
The location was near where our son lives.
Location! Easy to use public transportation from there. Big and cozy room.
The great views of the buildings downtown and I was located next to everything.
One night I stayed I walked out of my room and saw plates all over the floor.
Spacious room for two. Excellent staff .The hotel is well located. You have everything you want around.
The room cleanness.
The location of the hotel is awesome. 5 minute walk to Grant park. Room is clean and okay for me.
A trash truck woke me up every night around 3am. It's so annoying. The heater makes noises sometimes.
Location: perfect hub to explore the city. Walking distance from almost all major sights. Comfort: nice beds, spacious rooms, and big shower Facilities: easy wifi access and great 24h gym
Nothing that I can think of
good value for money, staff was very nice and helpful. showtime the door man is the man.
wifi was poor as was the television connection
Noisy trash pick-up in Alley
Location near everything you want to see as a tourist. Major bus lines stop nearby the blue line is a block away. Staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Rooms are well appointed and meticulous.
The staff were very friendly each time I entered/departed the hotel, they offered lots of helpful suggestions. The location was very close to all the main attractions.
great location and comfort
Location - especially the attached restaurant where they let us watch Ohio State WIN!
steps to our room - why?
The location is excellent. If you fly to Midway, you don't need a taxi, just take the train, the train station it's about 3 minutes away. The bed was very comfortable, the room was pretty with high ceilings and the decoration was nice. The bathroom has double sinks, the hairdryer is a good one, not those tiny little b******s. The staff was great.
It was a second floor so it was a bit noisy because of the traffic. The window was "broken" some how that it was allowing to enter the noise and the wind. I told front desk twice about the problem to bring a technician and fix the problem but they didn't do it. The internet was garbage. they shell you the option to get "faster" internet but in my opinion it's just a bite. I couldn't even connect to the email account, IT WAS THAT BAD. I used my mobile phone for all procedures (like check in to my flight).
