Score from 777 reviews Wonderful
We liked the comfortable beds and the large, well-appointed bathroom. We also had an excellent breakfast in the adjoining restaurant.
Had attention the second I came into the lobby! The attached restaurant was excellent with great service. The rooms were large and clean. I will definitely stay here next time I am in Chicago.
Parking is expensive
We loved this hotel. It was conveniently close to the L and downtown without the downtown sticker shock. We had a handicap accessible room which was very spacious.
The other rooms are much smaller than the handicap accessible rooms and rooms on the west side of the building had no view to speak of. Since we had the handicap room we had no tub or shower stall. No problem but the bathroom tile is very slick when wet and my husband fell in the shower. We would have put a towel down had we thought about it before hand.
I wish it had not been so cold 20F. I would have like to explore the neighborhood. Short walk to the loop, but all the advantages of a Chicago neighborhood. Excellent staff and service
Starbucks, 7eleven and a bank all on the corner outside the hotel + pizza restaurant across the road. Easy access to the train + walking distance to all the main shops and sights.
Don't go to Chicago in February unless you like the cold! ;o)
I was in Chicago for three days, not only did the hotel have an incredible breakfast restaurant attachment to the building, but there were a wide arrangement of restaurants and store within walking distance that made the experience incredible. I didn't have to take a taxi anywhere, the location was perfect; and the area was actually open passed eight at night as aposed to other areas in Chicago. All in all this was the best hotel I had ever stayed at and the cheapest on top of all of its perks.
The wifi would become weaker the further up your room was from the lobby.
Great location close to a blue line station with an elevator. Kind staffs. Clean room.
Poor wi-fi connection. Noisy air conditioning.
Hallways where raggedynot a 4 star hotel as promoted
Next door guest complained about our dog barking. The staff apologized perfusely and relocated us to bigger room in no time. Great staff and great rooms!
My teenage son and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Blake. Great location, room was clean & spacious, restaurants/shopping within walking distance, staff was friendly & helpful. Will definitely stay here again. No negatives.
Great staff and the doorman was really helpful.
My room wall had a hole in it.
"Showtime". This bell hop basically planned our days for us while we were in town. Told us where to eat, what to see, what to do, and where to go. Very helpful, and no disappointments.
I'm sure this is normal for the area, but the $50/day parking expense is unsettling. The view from our room was of the side of another building, rather than the open streets.
room, staff, Meli restaurant
Fan coil in the room was very noisy and stat not user friendly.
The warm welcoming and clean rooms
The unusual noise from exhuast system in bathroom especialy at night
Large room very comfortable king bed and roomy bathroom close to Blue line from airport
Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The porter was the very best, always upbeat and personable. The restaurant was a great place to have breakfast before a day on the town. Would stay again if I go back to Chicago.
When we left the porter sent us in what appeared to be a private vehicle instead of a cab and I think we were over charged for the short ride it was to Union Station.
Location and friendly staff.
Sound proof abit lacking.
Great location for the blue train line from Chicago Airport and for the Greyhound bus station.
LOCATION was great! Not crowded and a short walk to anywhere. Still in the middle of the active downtown, but like a lil private pocket of calm
Room was like a hot oven.. The heat control wasn't working.. Had to ofen open windows.. Atlast Switched it off.
Loved our room on the third floor with huge windows and a view of the Sears Tower. Room 321.
We were going to see Buddy Guy at Legends. Location was perfect. We will stay there again!
The location convienance and staff were helpful. The parking issue and cost was not great.
Parking location and room service menu was very limited, and the no one even offered to help me with my bags.
